Shopping, Eating and Shopping Sunday. 4.26.09 4:53 am 9.30am - Breakfast at Yum Cha, Chinatown Surprisingly not alot of people at the dim sum place in the morning. Food was ok except the tasteless Crystal Dumpling (literal translation). 11am- Strolling around in Chinatown Weather was damn hot, most of the shops not opened yet. Witnesses 3 china man (frenz) arguing becoz of the ATM machine. Haha...Changed $$ for foreign currency. THen headed to Orchard. 12pm- Deciding on movie or KTV There were no shows that I wanted to desparately watch. Gave up on both entertainment. When window shopping and bought the following. 1pm- Headed back home Slept in the bus till interchange. Ate Malay chicken rice and then went to check D.D.'s eyesight. Overall a pleasant day though weather could improve, hot in the morning and cold and wet in the afternoon. How nice. Comment! (0) | Recommend! Snapshots Saturday. 4.25.09 3:52 am New mobile phones? Wednesday. 4.22.09 3:10 am Staying at home the past few days. Its kind of peaceful but a lonely feeling too. My life still goes on just like time doesn't stop because of you. =) Comment! I am thankful that I have been in a quarter of his life. Really felt guilty that I could not take leave on 9 April as I had an afternoon event. Nevertheless, I rushed out to have lunch with my guy and also bought those expensive hand made chocolates which costs a few dollars each for him as a surprise. Guess wat, we went to Qi Ji to have nasi lemak. Haha.... Finally, after work met D.D. at Outram MRT. We walked from the station to Cantonment Road's Mariners' Corner in Maritime House for a candlelight dinner. The place was recommended by my colleague and after hearing that they offer lobster and steak combo for a reasonable price, I decided that D.D. would definitely love it. Upon reaching, was amazed that there is still such an old restaurant with the rustic decor around in SG. No fancy lights, just dim lights, dark furniture and paintings of fish, meat and some sea stuff. We settled on Lobster and Grilled Chicken combo (D.D's) & Prawns with Sausage combo (mine) set that comes with free flow of salad, soup, coffee or tea and dessert. The food was really good, I liked my prawns and the sausage. D.D. kept eating from my plate that he couldn't finish his. Haha. Dinner for 2 came up to about $60. Some pics of the food and ambience: D.D. with his starter: Me: His birthday Card from me: Escargot (yucks!): What are u digging my dear? Looking sheepishly: Lobster and Chicken combo with Black Pepper sauce: Prawns and Sausage combo with Mushroom sauce: Tucking In: Big Loan Shark Wannable: My Gifts for him: Exam Pack: Polo Tee: Last present: Not telling you D.D.'s present for me: Dumbo File =) P.s.: I pray that all things will run smoothly. =) Comment! Met D.D. for a simple lunch at Phin's Steakhouse at Bugis. It was our first time there, food was quite tasty and price was reasonable with the recession lunch set meals that is everywhere. After that, we headed to Illuma the new shopping centre beside Bugis Village. It was quite empty as not all shops are opened. As there was a promotion for the movies @ $6 per person, dragged D.D. to watch "Confessions of a Shopalcholic". Wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Especially like the scenes where the manequins from the windows would come to life and persuade the female leaad to buy the items. They even talk. Waiting for the movie: Bo Liao Sia! Our next plan was to take The Flyer as D.D had some discount coupons. We "trekked" from Bugis, Suntec ( ate ice-cream to cool down) to Millennium and then to Flyer. Weather was damn Hot! Half an hour ride was actually more than enough to take loads of pics and view Singapore. Took some pics to pass time in the capsule. When you go to The Flyer, am sure you would eat Popeyes over there. Shared a meal with D.D. Feeling quite heaty already from the Hot weather, cold air-con in shopping centres and fried food. As the evening just started, we took a stroll to the Merlion. Didn't know there was Starbucks underneath the bridge. A very good place to hang out. Shall go there next time. As both of felt super tired, we took a bus home. Both of us slept. All in all, a simple celebration of the 6 years of highs and lows. Thank you D.D for your support and love. Cheers to many more anniversaries ahead! Comment! (0) | Recommend! |
