Wat else to do when u just want to sit at the table for hours eating and chit-chatting, Its Steamboat! I think we ordered about 20 plates of beef in total excluding the other food items. Portions were quite small, so need to order more. Had fun over eating and joking of lame jokes courtesy of Tuck Ge. Haha.. We should just memorize them and use it for ice breaking next time. After that we headed to White Bar, Kurt's fav, for some drinks and after-party. Shared a bottle of Chivas among 7 people, quite reasonable for the price you pay. We drank the whole bottle just playing games like heart attack, dice and guessing games. Personally, I realised that I am used to the taste of Chivas already, having drank a couple of times already. Remembered that I vomited when I drank the first time and now, for an even substantial amt of alcohol, I am ok. All thanks to our dear fren trainer, Kurt. Hahaha... Overall had a blast yesterday. Some pics to share. The birthday gal is the one with Gold hair. Me and other half. Aiyo, stupid Ting Feng closed his eyes. Counting down to 12 days! Woo cant wait! Comment! (2) | Recommend! Happening Days Wednesday. 5.27.09 2:27 am 22 May 09- Mom's 50th Birthday @ Essential Brew Booked almost the entire 2nd floor for the party. Mom invited about 30 ppl for a buffet spread. Ambience was ok lah, except tat those with knee problems had to slowly stand up after hours of sitting on the floor. Food was quite ok, good if they could provide more drinks rather have just 1. Was quite bored as my dearest D.D. was away listening to JK. Managed to spend the time tokking to my cousin and the rest of the guests were my mom's ex and present colleagues. Presents were plently, most of it were jewellery and flowers. Yes, Diamonds are girls best friends! Finally, after 2-3 hours of rotting, we sang the birthday song with a very cute cake. There was a Miss Piggy from Sesame Street on top with the numbers 50. Helped to take photos and lazed ard watching people tok and eat. Anyway, 50 years doesnt look scarey judging from my mom's bday celebrations. Haha.. Next, rented a car without the knowledge or approval of my dad. Initially, wanted to rent a small car, Hyundai Getz for easy parking and driving since I just got my license 1 month ago. But, the rental company "upgraded: from Getz to Matrix to a MAZDA 6. I was quite surprised as 1. its quite a big car, 2. A sports car? 3. Double the price of Getz. I just prayed that I will bring the car back safely the next day. Both D.D. and I didnt plan where to go beforehand, so the schedule was decided as and when we liked. 11am- Army Market near Golden Mile for Lunch Stress man, dun really noe the roads. In the end we got there safely with a few tries of parking in those narrow places before parking at some blocks away. 12.30pm- Dempsy Hil for Ben & Jerry Ice Cream Had Belgium Wafflle with 2 scoops of Ice Cream. Was very hot in the car the whole time. Plus I was already feeling sick, so need to cool down. After much discussion, D.D. insisted that we go to Expo as he fren told him that was a book fair. How in the world do I noe how to go from Orchard to Expo? So, we just tried to find any expressway. We went past Thomson Road, Upper Thomson Road, Mach Reservior and drove past the Changi airport twice as we missed the Expo sign. In the end, there were no book fairs. So, we settled for Burger King to escape the heat from driving an hour plus. 3 pm- Heading to Jurong Point Got lost again, went Woodlands, Yishun, Khatib and finally Bukit Timah where I recognised the way back. Am super tired as we drove the whole day. Funny thing is that D.D. told me that I was not confident while driving to the other places earlier but was very confident while driving on Bukit Timah. Haha. Reached at abt 5pm, had dinner and watched Angels & Demons. Thought that the movie would be difficult to understand like the 1st movie. But, surprising, it was ok, interesting and exciting with many climax. Reached home at about 10 plus. Exhausted from driving for prob 4-5 hours in total? But am happy that D.D. was able to experience my driving and he could experience being a King for 1 day. Looking forward to 10th June. Comment! (2) | Recommend! Mafia Wars or Me? Wednesday. 5.13.09 9:16 am Just a simple question, Mafia Wars or Me? Wat is so great about the former? Comment! (3) | Recommend! tired Tuesday. 5.12.09 3:10 am Just came back from gym. Eyes are starting to close. How I wish that the gym could have lesser people, maybe less than 5 guys/ aunties/ uncles. Am abit shy to exercise when there are so many people with mirrors surrrounding me. Hiaz. Very slpy. -_- zzzzz Comment! (0) | Recommend! All about u Saturday. 5.9.09 10:40 am 7 May 09- Thursday D.D. finally took his much anticipated POA exams. Am glad that he was so confident. Had our fav Beef noodles + Char Kway Teow @ Army Market. After that strolled under the hot sun to Bugis and caught X-men. Was quite irritated that an indian guy behind me kept pushing my chair. Really tested my patience when the gal- guy talked on her mobile for quite some time when the show was stiill on-going. Talking about a courtesy campaign in SG. Anyway, show was not bad, 3.5 out of 5. Took me awhile to understand or realise the meaning of some scenes. Had dinner in CHinatown. Its been really warm and humid the past few wks. Raining in the wee hours of the morning did not help the blazing temperatures in the afternoon. When can the weather cool down? Sianz. 9 May 09- Sat Met D.D. for lunch at Holland V. Always have fun with him. Tokking, laughing, eating are some of the usual things that we enjoy. Anyway, it was funny that we went to the wrong side of a coffee shop for dinner. The usual seats were now belonging to a Chinese- Muslim stall rather than the normal Indian-muslim stall. Actually, they are under the same management, just that the menus are different. Our mee pataya and beef soup were totally unexpected; from muslim to chinese food. Haha. Lesson learnt. Damn full now. =) Comment! It gave me a few ideas on how I want my wedding to be like in hopefully a few years down the road. Hehe. Anyway, here was what i wore. =) Comment! (0) | Recommend! |
