Get connected is over.
As much as I love get connected, this year, my team expert was a fucking douchebag.
I hate to call race things, but he was such a stereotypical Indian (in the bad and horrible way), it wasn't even funny.
You won't believe it! (He says this all the time) Basically (dragged out, he also says this all the time), everyone is stupid, he is awesome and he needs to give orders and know EVERYTHING.
He completely ignored any instructions given by myself or the general bigwigs of the program.
He was just fucking awful.
I complained to Anne, she eventually came by, and she and Joyce witnessed the douchery first hand. I talked to her later about recommending him for something, I told her I just couldn't knowing his attitude/personality. Then she and Joyce brings up the fact that he has a thick accent and lisp, and combined with his attitude, it's not good for service. I felt better that they had said that, and weren't just trying to say "oh it's a personality conflict". He offended everyone else on the team, ffs!
We were clocking out, and when we were asked about who was working the second half, I said that only one person was, and he looked offended and left. I can't say I'm all that upset, there's no way I could recommend him and feel alright with myself.

There's some drama going on right now, I'm not going to post about it just yet.
I am, however, going to post entries from my local police blotter.
"Provonda Nicolette Banks, 21, of the 700 block of Harding St., Petersburg, was charged with capias: contempt of court on July 17." - I can only assume that this person's mother liked provolone cheese and cigarettes.
"Monique Deirriere Epps, 19, of the 10700 block of Quaker Road, Dinwiddie, was charged with fail to appear on misdemeanor charge on July 13." - You KNOW this is pronounced like French for bum.
"Krystal Leymone King, 22, of the 900 block of Wills Road, Petersburg, was charged with fail to appear on misdemeanor charge on July 17." - I went to school with a Krystal King. She should have been younger than me, though.
"Letisha Leshae Lethridge, 21, of the 4000 block of Midlothian Tnpk., Richmond, was charged with forging, uttering and grand larceny on July 12." - Do they call her LeLeLe? Le-cubed? I don't think black people are that smart to make a math joke like that... :/
That's all I have for now.
Also, non-drama. Dani calls me today and asks me to help her bake a cake... for her ceramics lab. No icing on said cake. I REALLY don't understand why a lab needs a cake, but I am VERY curious to find out.
Maybe it's an exercise in how most types of ceramics are the same? Many people will probably make a white/yellow cake. I hope she chooses something awesome... FUNFETTI!
Dani, if you read this, get an unusual cake mix and some sprinkles. I wanna make a sprinkle cake.

So I've done my hair. No pictures, no point. *shrug*.
I need to go press it and overall take care of it now.
I just realized that one of my most amusing shirts that says "Bamn!" with some sort of definition about freedom, is actually a exceedingly black-powerrific shirt.
Oh well. Still a cool shirt.

So I have the L'oreal stuff.
It says to do a test in the corner of my elbow 48 hours before.
Problem is I can't get that area wet.
How am I supposed to shower? o.O

So it seems that the only difference between the two is that they changed the name and the color of the person on the front of the box.
The chemicals are the same. They're owned by the same company. I'm curious if anyone's tried them both and has noticed any difference.

I still want to dye my hair purple.
I wish my hair did the chunky/curly fro thing, but it does more of a halo, according to this site.
I think purple and curly would look better than purple and halo, it'll be like my hair is a purple sheep ass. I wonder how that will show up.
I love how the internet mostly caters to blond/brunette/redhead people, and occasionally you will see a black hair forum here or there.
I wanted to use either color pulse or color flash, part of me thinks they're the exact same product, part of me thinks the flash will work better than the pulse because it's marketed to black folk.
I do like my hair as-is, it's interestingly me. At the same time, it's annoying because it always, and I mean ALWAYS, looks like I've just woken up and let it go.
That's about all I can do to it, if I were to straighten it, it would floof back up in a matter of minutes. My hair is THICK, and every time I go to a salon to have it washed/straightened, they complain and charge me extra, and then tell me that I need to put massive amounts of chemicals in my hair.
I don't want Sisterlocks or any kind of "loc", I like being able to do whatever with my hair, should I so desire.
The only problem with keeping my hair in it's sheep's ass state is that people are much less willing to hire me. Maybe it's because they associate afros with some sort of "black power" statement? I'm definitely not like that, it's just about the only thing I can get my hair to do short of killing it with heat or chemicals or getting it put into "faddish" braids.
