Non-Valentine's Day blog

Obviously I wrote this yesterday, but didn't put it up.

I have finally started to look at apartments. I now cannot get it off of my mind. I've somewhat narrowed it down to three, but it really will just depend on the cost. The place I really want to get into is very small from what a co-worker said so I might have to think about getting the two bedroom version. It's all about weighing the pros and cons and right now the slightly more expensive, but less space is looking very good. It has everything we want plus some extras, things I never knew were extra like dishwashers and garbage disposals, and it is decently close to both work places! I'm talking like 15 minutes drive probably! The closest I've ever worked was 10 minutes from my house, but the downside was that I hated working there...even more so then when I worked for a boss who was always on drugs. (Yes, I am talking about pot and crack.)

With the help of a co-worker now know of some spots in decent/good areas in the city we want to live in. From the floor plans and pictures the place I like the most would be a good spot. I know I'm just going to die though on the size of the apartments. Even though we don't have a lot of furniture the pieces we do have are of a larger size. I am going to just die. I've always had a lot of room and this is a huge shock for me. Now I'm just depressing myself thinking about being crammed into a small apartment. I always thought it wouldn't be that bad since it's just two of us, but after looking at the floor plans I was SO wrong. We'd need 2 bedrooms for a perfect fit, but that's still a lot more money considering I want to save for a house while in an apartment. It's still unclear exactly how much I will get when my mom sells her house and I don't want to count on money I don't have in my hands.

The only thing set is that I want to move on the 22nd of March. I already have two days off and it would really be perfect. It would give us, well me, 4 days to get everything unpacked and put into place. On the bright side all of the ones I was looking at come with Kitchen appliances! /cheer /clap This means we can sell/get rid of the stuff we already have, not it's worth very much.

Bleh, now I'm stressing myself out since I only have a little over a month to find a place, get packed and make sure the moving company I plan on using can help me! BLARG! A co-worker offered to help me move, but I'd rather pay for a moving company to do it. The company I plan on moving is where the co-worker who's been helping me husband works so I know they will do a good job that and I was not born for free manual labor so I'd be out for helping them. Some people are and some aren't. I wasn't raised that way and figured it's good to give people who have those sorts of jobs my business when possible. :)

What is that smell?

Warning! The following is not for those faint of heart or with a weak stomach! I will not be accountable for anything that you may do or feel after reading this blog!

At the end of my scrapbook my mommy made for me was of course a message to me. I’d been meaning to find a really good card to reply with. Normally for times like this I’d make my own, but I wanted to buy one this time. While I was in the grocery story the other night I saw they had tulips for sale. Besides daffodils they are my mommy’s favorite kind of flower. Of course it was a Valentine’s day thing so they only had pink, red and purple. She would have liked purple the best, but the only ones they had weren’t growing straight, in full bloom or almost in full bloom. I wasn’t going to give her a gift that would die soon, how crap would that be? I picked a pink or red one that the color was barely coming through on one so they should last a long time. After going through what seemed to be about 30 cards I found the perfect one to go along with the gift.

With my goodies in hand I went to visit my mommy. She, of course, was very happy with what I picked and couldn’t wait to see if they would be pink or red. Since we hadn’t talked in a long time I decided to stay around and talk. We haven’t visited together in a long time since she’s so busy teaching and with my niece or she’s been free and I’ve been busy. Soon enough my boyfriend comes to put in some dinner into the oven, ours is...sick and unusable, and actually stayed to talk, ok so he just stood there and listened to us cluck like chickens. The very last thing she told me was this story, I’ll leave it up to your imagination to why it was even mentioned. By the way she had tears streaming down her face and she was laughing so hard she could barely breath while telling us the story. (Ours is a very odd sort of family who find things like splurting mashed potatoes out of paper napkins and calling it a pimple.)

One day one of the students in my mom’s students was in another class. During the middle of the class he farted. This was no ordinary fart though. He had pooped his pants when he farted. If that wasn’t bad enough he couldn’t get up to go to the bathroom because it was such a forceful fart it had seaped through his underwear and pants and onto his chair! So sitting in it he tried to act as if everything was fine until the kids around him started wondering while sniffing the air, “What is that smell?” Mind you this is 7th/8th grade so decorum and maturity is fully out the window, although in this case I think it would be with any age group. Finally they found out what had happened to him and he was the talk, well no joke, of the whole school.

The day after he was supposed to show up at school. My mom with all of her self control tried to speak to her class seriously about not laughing at him. Unfortunately when something is very funny my mom doesn’t have very good self control and said she was laughing just as hard and had mascara running down her face from her tears. Over a week later and the poor student STILL has not shown up to school. My niece declared if that happened to her, she would have to transfer her to another school in a different town. Well this whole story answers one of the questions I’ve always wondered; has anyone ever pooped and farted at the same time?
