I don't know...
Thursday. 11.16.06 9:53 am
There's something about today that just doesn't seem right...we'll see as the day progresses how it goes, but I don't know. I have a feeling something might not be going in the right direction.

Ugh...I will have to elaborate later. I've been meaning to type something for about an hour and I have not been able to be at my desk (oh joy...like I said, the fun begins)

you know...

I was going to talk about it in my last entry and I completely forgot...

When I was at Target, there was a row of tents outside and I was like "what the hell?" and then I remembered (only because Brian had mentioned something earlier)...those crazy people are waiting for the PS3 to come out on Friday. THOSE PEOPLE ARE NUTS!!!

Look at the predicted weather for the next 3 days in Denver! As of right now, it is currently 28 degrees but because of the wind chill factor, it feels like it's 21 degrees. It will most likely get cooler tonight (as it is really only 10:50 right now). At least there is no rain or snow predicted in the next two days. Supposed to have highs of 61 degrees tomorrow and upper 50's on Friday. It's supposed to get down to freezing at night on both nights...

Now honestly, is sitting outside in a tent with lawn chairs waiting for a crappy video game system to come out on Friday worth it? I am leaning toward NO...A BIG FAT NO!!!

CRAZY PEOPLE!!!

change of plans...
Wednesday. 11.15.06 11:01 pm
Tonight, instead of doing the things I said I was going to do, I went to Target instead. My goal was to buy cookie sheets (since I have to bake 6 dozen cookies this weekend), but I ended up not getting any cookie sheets either.

INSTEAD, I bought some gloves (my hands get nippy in the morning), Wheat Chex were on sale (3 for $7.00 - a deal I could not pass up...I LOVE WHEAT CHEX!!), some Christmas lights (a string of 110 twinkly ones...they were only $4.00) and some feminine products (yes, even though I'm pregnant and don't necessarily need them, I NEED THEM)...

I then went to Michael's (an arts and crafts store) and got my best friend's birthday present and then I bought my Christmas cards...and then I went home.

I have one other present that I'm going to get her for Christmas (since her birthday and Christmas are so close together), but I wanted to make sure that I got something for one of each and not just mush them together (as people often do).

Anyway, I got home and put my Christmas lights up on my deck. I think they look pretty cool, but I might move them inside. My balcony doesn't necessarily face the parking lot (it actually faces another building) and it'd be different if people enjoyed them (maybe they're enjoying them on the side of the building...who knows). I want to make sure they stay up there though, so I'll do that tomorrow. I can see a big windstorm blow in and blow my Christmas lights right off my deck...lol

The lights twinkle though, so they look like flickering candles and stuff. Not all of them do it, so I think they look really cool...and for $4.00, I can't really complain about what they're doing because they are actually working!

Anyway...I shall be back tomorrow!

damn bills...
Wednesday. 11.15.06 1:54 pm
A call that should have taken 5 minutes with the gas/electric company took me 20 minutes because they told me I defaulted on my payment arrangement. Makes me want to rip my hair out because I was never told that the due dates changed every month and I assumed that when I was paying the bills on the 15th every month that that was fine (as that is the day that I get paid)...well, this past bill, the due date was the 9th (I guess they move based on reading date) and I'm like...

After 20 minutes of being on hold/discussing matter with them, they let me pay the arrangement amount and they put me back on the payment arrangement...advised me that when I receive my bill, I am supposed to call them and tell them that I cannot make the payment until the 15th as that is when I get paid...and then call back on the 15th. What a clusterfuck!

You know, I might as well magically pull some money out of my ass and pay this whole thing off because I thought this payment arrangement was fantastic until they start pulling this shit on me...ugh...

At least I can call and pay my other bills and know that they'll get paid correctly (i.e. the phone bill and the internet bill...I pay the water bill with my rent). My auto insurance gets debited out of my account every month so I don't have to worry about that one...and then that's it. I have a special expense this month, but that's okay...I can afford it. Unfortunately, I can't pay that one over the phone or else it would get paid faster! Now to get some of the other debts set up on payment arrangements and I'll be set...not to mention STUDENT LOANS. Gotta consolidate those puppies and take care of those within the next month or so.

Anyway, what better way to cure frustration than to post pictures of P-DOGS!!! I figured since my picture yesterday was such a hit, why not put another one up.

Here is mister p-dog eating. He's so cute sitting there with his feet outstretched like that. My goal was to find a picture of a really fat one sitting there with his feet sticking out (and not touching the ground mind you because he's so fat) but I couldn't find any good pictures.

Here's another cute baby animal (as you can see, I LOVE BABY ANIMALS!!!):

SUCH A CUTE BABY POLAR BEAR! I think all babies are so cute, even the animal babies! He's just playing and having a good time...and you know, a lot of little human babies seem to do what this little polar bear is doing. Kids are so flexible when they're little...they they grow up and be fat, overweight adults (okay, that's just me...but lol)...

Speaking of flexible, the lady at the preggo class last night was saying that women are the most flexible during their pregnancy, so don't be surprised if you can stretch a lot of things that you couldn't stretch before you were pregnant. I am wondering if that is true...I've not tried any of the stretching moves that she was showing, but hehe...maybe we are more flexible, it's just harder to get into those positions to be flexible (BELIEVE ME...trying to get up off the floor is a task in itself!)...

I think when I get home tonight, I'm going to work on some of them thank you cards...and I really feel like I should change my layout. I love the picture I have from when I went to Grand Lake, but I am in desperate need of change. I am getting tired of seeing that same picture over and over again. Any ideas of what I should do? I seriously have no HTML/programming skills whatsoever, so the most I'll be doing to my site is changing the banner and the colors...lol

SO, any ideas for the banner?

Why is it...
Wednesday. 11.15.06 9:38 am
that I leave 5 minutes earlier than I usually do, I end up getting to work 5 minutes late? That's so completely not fair!

Ugh...this morning, I really didn't want to wake up. It snowed a teeny bit on the way home last night, but nothing stuck around...but, where I was going with that was that it was cold! I bundled up under my covers and it was SOOO warm this morning, I just didn't want to get out of bed. Anyone else feel like that? I'm sure I'm not the only one...

Last night's class was extremely informative...it made sure to scare a few of the guys in the class. We watched a video of what happens when you go into labor (the majority of it was animated...but there were a few live births) and believe me, the girls are sitting there just watching and there were a few guys that were like "OH MY GOD!!! Is this where the guy passes out???" I think the videos (we watched 2...one with the animations of how the baby comes out...and one with actual women going through different stages of labor and how they were coping with it) were something that I needed to see. They truly showed that every single woman would go through something different. I think it may have given me the encouragement to at least try and see if I can do it without pain medication. Unfortunately, I have to have an IV regardless, so if I did decide to at some point feel that I needed an epidural, they could do so without any trouble. I have to have my IV when I first get to the hospital because I have Group B strep and I have to antibiotics every 4 hours to make sure that I do not pass it onto the baby. That regiment basically starts as soon as I get into the hospital, so lol...goody me! I was so afraid I wasn't going to be able to do as much moving around with having this IV, but I forgot they can cap IV's off and leave the catheter in there, so I think I'll be good to go.

Has anyone ever had an IV? I think the creepiest part about it is when they give you stuff in the IV and you can feel all the liquid going into your vein...and it's really cold. It creeps me out big time and it's not a real enjoyable feeling, but whatever it is they put in there...lol...it usually makes you feel a whole lot better. The one that I had had some muscles relaxers or something in it (when I had to have my MRI/CAT scan funness when they thought I had a stroke)...them putting the IV in was no fun, but ah...what a relief after the meds kicked in.

ANYWAY..today shall be eventful as there are many things to do! I should get started on them as we speak...

tumbleweeds are abundant!
Tuesday. 11.14.06 2:54 pm
DAMN! It's damn windy outside! It always amuses me when I can look outside and see tumbleweeds rolling on by. If your'e not familiar, here's a picture:

I was driving around at lunch and they were rolling all over the road...reminds me of when I first drove into Denver to live here. A large tumbleweed rolled right into the front of my car and got stuck on the grill...we were on a mission, I wasn't going to stop to get it off ya know...we were driving. We stopped to get some gas and some guy has the balls to sit and there and tell me that I had a tumbleweed stuck on the front of my car. NO SHIT! I had no idea...it only liked looked like a little tree was on the front of my car. I pulled it off before we left, but dang...

Then, we were actually driving into Denver and one rolled by and rolled under my car and got stuck. It made THE WORST screetching noise EVER! It drug on the ground...if the thing was made of metal, it would have been emitting sparks! I had to pull over to get that one out from under my car...I couldn't drive with that squealing noise.

Hehe...and while we're stuck on tumbleweeds and the prairie grasslands...here's a p-dog!

He can't quite reach the itch on his butt, so I guess that's what makes him so cute! His cute little arms aren't long enough...hehe...it's not funny that he can't reach it, but at least he's trying!

I like the über fat ones that look like Jabba the Hutt from Star Wars. They just sit there on the tops of their hills, with the feet sticking out in front of them because their butt is so big their legs can't touch the ground and their arms look like they're just knobs sticking off the side of its body. Hehe...it's not funny that he's so morbidly obece, but you can't help but feel sorry for him! He's still so cute!!!

Anyway...that's all for now...

Is it really Tuesday?
Tuesday. 11.14.06 9:45 am
Honestly...it still feels like Monday. Was a bitch to get up this morning...I really didn't want to get in the shower but I knew I had to get in the shower...I really wanted to get Starbucks this morning, but by the time I left the house, it was too late to stop by Starbucks without being late to work...

But yeah...let's just hope the day goes by as planned.

Last night, I went to my friend's house for dinner. We had salmon...and oh how I love salmon! She had some really good potatoes too that were excellent! I'm going to have to go buy those when I get a chance to get to the store. They were so yummy...we watched some TV and had some good laughs...and I helped her with photoshop. I guess she was having a devil of a time trying to get this picture she had to just be this gnome (yes, a garden gnome...it's a big inside joke...and we were doing the roaming gnome gag to someone)...either way, she spent hours trying to do it and wasn't getting anywhere...I did it in 2 seconds...it was all good (I'm gonna get hit later for this...lol)

I have my class tonight at the hospital. I have to do my little homework assignment before class tonight (hey, this sounds like real school...where I procrastinated and waited until the last minute to do everything). I can't remember what we're doing tonight, but if it still involves that massage thing, I'm there...lol...I can't believe there's just about 2 months left! It's a little scary...2 more months and there goes my privacy...2 more months, and there goes my sex life (haha...it's pretty non-existant now)...2 more months and then sleepless nights and diaper/feeding at all hours of the day. Is this something that people look forward to? I'm sure it won't be as bad as I think it's going to be, but seriously...2 MONTHS!!!

I'm bored...

SO, we'll find out if I'm a good driver or not:

You Passed Your Driver's Test

Congratulations, you got 7/10 correct.

You're a good driver - at least, when you want to be.

I suppose this is right...I drive well when I want to. I remember all the important ones, so I guess that's what counts, right?
