It's easier to complain
but there is beauty in the mundane
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

All day long at random times I have felt extremely hungry. This stupid eating every hour thing is really messing up my body. I don't want to feel hungry every fifteen minutes! I can't eat that often!

That being said, I'm going to go get something to eat. I'm STARVING.

Okay. Cereal and milk at 9 PM is a fairly satisfactory snack. I'm so glad they took the bad ingredients out from Honey Bunches of Oats.

La La La How cool is that??? :)

Pickle bombs and surfing sprees

I realized I don't actually know how to make a pickle bomb.

I'm going to go on a page surfing spree and up my active status.

A third post, 'cause I feel like it
Thursday, September 14, 2006
My friend Joey ate part of a peppermint chocolate cigar he found on the floor... that's kind of nasty if you ask me.... but then again I ate frozen pickles so I guess that makes us even.

I feel like having catfish and cajun fries from Popeye's but I can't because the doctor said no more spicy food for me. As you can tell I am very sad.

High as the Earth's core.

One in every two stupid people will not understand this immediately. If you don't get it, think... what does that say about you?

Bad day, bad week, and pantiliners
Thursday, September 14, 2006
I hate group projects. I'm just not good at working with other people unless they do a majority of the work... or tell me exactly what to do and when to get it done by. -Sigh-

We have this project in World History where we have to research a character and have somebody play him or her in the Paris Salon we will be holding in the classroom. Many things went wrong in my group.

1.We didn't really understand anything she said
2.We had a really REALLY slow start
3.The boys in the group only talk to each other
4.I didn't do anything for the majority of the time and one of the boys got mad at me
5.Practically nothing got done
6.The boys found a pantiliner just lying around on a table for no apparent reason

That last one... weird, I know. But it's true. There was just some little plastic package labeled "PANTILINER" and some tips on the back. I only remember one, which was "Do not flush down the toilet". The stupid boys were giggling over it and discussing who should hold it, tossing it around like some sort of hot potato. I suppose they would find it nasty, but being immature about it doesn't help. In the end I picked up the thing and just threw it away, causing groans of "aww mannnn I was gonna put it in some guy's backpack!". To this I replied "just use one of those condom cards in the Biology classrooms". And that was a mistake. Both of them looked at me with wide eyes and one said "whoaaaaa what is this girl THINKING???" I'm going to have to remember to watch my words next time...

Henceforth and blah blah blah
Wednesday, September 13, 2006
I have decided for no good reason that I need more friends on Nutang. So from now on I will add anyone who comments on my posts as a friend.

It's true! I created a post just to say that one thing! What a waste of space.

Haha I just accidently saved myself as a friend.

Taht wsa colo
Wednesday, September 13, 2006
I'm all for the shoutbox, but it DOES bother me when I make a mistake and I can't post again to fix it. For instance, the title. If I went really fast and typed "taht wsa colo" instead of "that was cool" and it showed up... well either people would not understand me, or they would and just think I was a terrible typist. And... maybe I am. But that's not the point now, is it?

Another thing while I'm at it; when you post something in the Shoutbox and somebody else posts at exactly the same time... but he/she gets there a little before you... and his/her post is before yours... sometimes it messes up what you were trying to say. Like...

Person 1: I like jello
Person 2: I have six toes
Person 3 who was too late: So do I.

See, if Person 3 had finished just a little earlier, that unfortunate mishap would not have happened. Of course, I guess you could always post again after someone else, but if nobody posts anything for a long time... what can you do?

In conclusion, never freeze pickles or iPods. It just doesn't work. Frozen pickles taste kind of nasty, and frozen iPods... well.... you get the picture I hope.
