So when I start to see some face in neon dreams
engulfed in fantasies, the world seems more inviting
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
~ D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
~ Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
~ Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories-- if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
~ The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
~ Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
~ William Blake

I... just had an urge to quote Metalocalypse. That's all. :P

Let's see... I hung out with Alice for maybe three and a half hours today. Give or take a few minutes. We talked a lot.

First we walked to my house (as usual). We wanted to make a smoothie but there wasn't any juice to use as a base. So we squeezed a few oranges. The first few were bad inside...

The smoothie turned out good but it had a strange banana flavor, even though no bananas were present in it. Unless someone stopped time and blended them in while we weren't looking.

After the smoothie, I left a note for my mom and we went to her house. She changed and I read Psychology Today. (I want to subscribe to that so much) Then she went rollerblading. I walked next to her.

We talked a bit, and moved around. On the ground under a park table we found a sow bug (roly-poly, pillbug etc.). I tried to pick it up but it was insanely hard for some reason. Eventually I got it though. We watched it scuttle around for a bit then let it go free. Because of course, that's what you do when you really love something. :P

When that was finished we just talked. A lot. For a while. And stuff.

Chewing is painful. :/ My wisdom teeth are coming in and it sucks. The one on my right side isn't even really visible yet, but it still hurts. :(

No pictures now, sorry.

I didn't make it

I just know this is going to stretch my entry. :/

When I saw this on ABS it just reminded me so much of my oranges that I had to post it. Of course, mine didn't have any cool wordless storylines, but it's all fine.

My mom signed me up for some free concert thing that the Choral Project is doing and I got accepted, so now I'm going to go watch people sing or something. I mean, not now, next Saturday. But yeah. Singing people... oh boy.

I finished Penguin Diner and only failed on one level out of thirty four or something. The highest scores in that game are freaky...

Oh, and sorry if I you thought I lost in a beauty pagent or couldn't save someone's life because of the title. Misleading, eh? :P

Oh sadness, still no CDs
Tuesday, February 26, 2008
My The Art of Falling Apart CD hasn't come in yet. :/ I wouldn't care if they at least had it, but I backordered it and they haven't even got it in stock or whatever yet. Not to mention that I don't have the faintest idea when they'll ship it to me, if they get it.

The other CD I ordered shouldn't be having any trouble, as far as I know. I'm so happy it was $2.99. :D Makes me wonder if it was really worth the seventeen bucks for the other one that isn't going anywhere soon...

Nocturnal existance
Monday, February 25, 2008
It'd be cool if you could just choose to live out your life at night... I mean, not just after you finished school. Like, if they had night elementary school and night middle school and night high school. I think they have night college or whatever already.

That'd just be cool, I think... although if I ever wanted to go walking by myself at night it might be a bit awkward if there were lots of other people around.

This afternoon (I just typed "fatern" on accident :P) I was feeling really sleepy... I walked home with Alice and we ate some stuff at my house, then went to her house... I didn't stay though. No idea why I felt so exhausted but I really wanted to go home and take a nap. So I did...

I don't know what time I slept but I woke up at about 7:30 or so. I suppose I could've just slept right on through the night, until maybe two in the morning. Not sure what I'd do then, though.

Had a weird dream... (well, I guess technically ALL of my dreams are kinda weird, I've never had a "normal" one) I was with Alice and we went to her art place... which looked a lot like a business building or maybe tall college library. When we went inside (I don't remember actually going through any doors, or seeing any for that matter) we were in a really big room with a high ceiling. There were big artsy pillows and cushions just lying around on the floor and stuff... and then Alice went to this (Russian?) woman to talk to her about some sort of art show thing they called "early night." We walked out to this... fringe... kind of place. In between the actual wall and the big space there were these... faux walls... border... things... you see them at airports, they're these metal sheet things propped up by wooden beams or something similar... Well we went behind those, in the fairly large outer fringe space, where there were still copious amounts of artsy cushions, and saw Daydrah. And then something about Alice throwing down some heavy fake nails or something... I picked a couple up and tried to put them on but it wouldn't work for some reason...

Then I woke up...

I don't think I had much to eat, calorie-wise, today... In all I probably got a little more than a thousand. Should probably do some exercise... although I can't now, of course. I'd never go out at night when there's school the next day.

Umm... sorry for the rambling. I don't know if it interests you guys or not. I can't post any pictures because I'm on my laptop. (Craptop)

We checked out The Great Gatsby in Lit. I have no interest in it. :/ None of the books we read at school are ever interesting. They're all chock full of symbolism and other crap I don't care about.

I forget... did I already say I watched Superbad? I think I did... my opinion of it hasn't improved in the few days since I saw it...

Uh... something random

Time is going so slow it's fast. Like when you take a shower and it's so cold it's hot. Or the other way around. You know what I mean.

Nothing is happening here. I found out that a semi-famous band lived in my area a while back from Wikipedia, but that's about it.

It's been raining. Not hard though. Last night I think I dreamed that it was so windy stuff was blowing over again. Or maybe I woke up and I was thinking that. I dunno, really.

My dad wanted me to look at some of the SAT books he got from various garage/library sales. (My parents are weird, their cheap-sense overpowers their my-child-must-be-smart-sense) It was boring. I'm probably going to fail the math part, but I think I should be okay as far as the english stuff is concerned.

Mostly I'm more worried about going to the place to take the test than the actual test. I get weird anxiety about that kind of thing....

School starts again tomorrow. :/

Popping out to the Farmer's Market
Saturday, February 23, 2008
Maybe I'll make a real entry later.

This picture scares me. :'(

But not as much as this one.

If I saw that in my house... I would either start screaming hysterically or crying in fear... seriously.

:P
