I’m in Geisel right now standing at one of the infostation computer things. I just printed out my questions that I will be submitting for my USP3 discussion class at 1. For this past quarter, I have definitely noticed how much time needs to be efficiently distributed in order to live a life in balance. My balancing act includes work in the morning, school for the majority of the day, extracurriculars in between academics during and after school time, family, friends and my dogs.

My first quarter at UCSD is almost over, and I’m really amazed by how fast it went by. People weren’t kidding when they said that the quarter system is fast. But I’m glad that it is to be honest. It keeps me on my toes and I feel like I achieve a lot more in such an abbreviated amount of time.

This fall quarter is going to prove interesting. I’m still debating whether or not to take classes over the summer here at UCSD or at Southwestern. I just need to step back and let my mind catch up with my physical self for a bit before moving on.

Face you fears, live your dreams.

So I auctioned off my old laptop in my previous post, and luckily, it fetched a pretty penny AND ended up in the hands of a good owner. Some whack status scammer overbid on it the first time around for about, I don't know, $5,000(!) but I eventually went on to sell it for a little less than 900; a little less than half its original value.

On another note, I'm still in shock at what just happened days ago at Virginia Tech. I mean, wow. I do my usual website check daily and CNN is usually one of the last things I checked, but this time I happened to check it first and BAM. My condolences go out to all those affected by what happened. As I've already seen on facebook and all the other social networking sites, everyone is in full support of VT right now and will be for as long as need be, and then some.

We did discuss what happened over here at UCSD, and vice-chancellor Fox even addressed the students and staff personally, so it is definitely not an isolated issue.

On another note, my university life is going great. I'm doing my best to become more active and volunteer and get my name out there so that I might, even slightly, have a better chance of getting into international house at ERC. Thanks Ivy for getting me involved in the first place. [=
