No shadows will replace the warmth of your contact
love is dead in Metropolis
A few words
"When we describe the Moon as dead, we are describing the deadness in ourselves. When we find space so hideously void, we are describing our own unbearable emptiness."
―D.H. Lawrence

"Is the meaning of life defined by its duration? Or does life have a purpose so large that it doesn't have to be prolonged at any cost to preserve its meaning?"

"Living is not good, but living well. The wise man, therefore, lives as well as he should, not as long as he can... He will always think of life in terms of quality not quantity... Dying early or late is of no relevance, dying well or ill is... even if it is true that while there is life there is hope, life is not to be bought at any cost."
―Seneca

"People will tell you nothing matters, the whole world's about to end soon anyway. Those people are looking at life the wrong way. I mean, things don't need to last forever to be perfect."
―Daydream Nation

"All Bette's stories have happy endings. That's because she knows where to stop. She's realized the real problem with stories― if you keep them going long enough, they always end in death."
―The Sandman: Preludes & Nocturnes

"The road now stretched across open country, and it occurred to me - not by way of protest, not as a symbol, or anything like that, but merely as a novel experience - that since I had disregarded all laws of humanity, I might as well disregard the rules of traffic. So I crossed to the left side of the highway and checked the feeling, and the feeling was good. It was a pleasant diaphragmal melting, with elements of diffused tactility, all this enhanced by the thought that nothing could be nearer to the elimination of basic physical laws than deliberately driving on the wrong site of the road."
― Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita

What would You Die for?
Tuesday, July 24, 2007
I was just thinking about this while IMing Angie...

randomjunk: is there anything in life truly worth dying for?
Angie: umm
Angie: dunno
randomjunk: there must be....
Angie: well uh..when you figure it out, let me know so i can go with you
randomjunk: ha, well, there would probably be a difference of opinion on that one
randomjunk: the romantic would die for love, the patriot would die for his country, the miser for his money
Angie: ahhh
Angie: very clever
randomjunk: thank you
randomjunk: i don't know what my reasons would be

I Never Saw Brokeback Mountain

But this is hilarious anyway.

Brokeback Mountain in 30 Seconds (and Re-enacted by Bunnies)

THIS one is even better.

I Agree with Dilated
Tuesday, July 17, 2007
New York is scary.

But still hilarious.

Woman #1: The kids I babysit are... I wanna say 'satanic.'
Woman #2: Wow.
Woman #1: I know it sounds strong, but every time I'm over there they're like, 'Let's think of different ways to kill Jesus.'

--Fordham University

Man #1: Hey, hey! Who do you think you are?
Woman #1: Excuse me?
Man #1: You! Get that bag off the seat!
Woman #2: Leave her alone.
Man #1: Shut up! She has her fucking bag on the seat! Nobody's better than anyone else. We're all people. She shouldn't take up two fucking seats!
Man #2: Nobody wants to sit next to you, so you're taking up two seats, too.

--A train

That's What You Said about Your Unwanted Pregnancy

Drunk girl: Can you put my phone in your pocket?
Friend: But your pants have pockets!
Drunk girl: No, they don't! That's just a glitch in the Matrix!

Young hipster: Remember that guy you used to work with -- Carl?
Young suit: Yeah, I always hated that guy.
Young hipster: I saw him the other night, and he was telling me he was going to get 'Hopeless romantic' tattooed on his knuckles. I was like, 'Dude, you cheated on your girlfriend and you have a pending rape case -- maybe you shouldn't get that tattoo.'

I found the link on Tinky Winky Panties' site. :P

Avenge Jackie
Monday, July 16, 2007
I had a dream about being a ghost and seeing President Kennedy's ghost. He was telling me to avenge Jackie. That was on this... play structure type thing outside. It was surrounded by tanbark... a lot of tanbark. The sky was grey and cloudy... There was also this big doorway into a mall. And then there was something about magical pants... but uh... I won't go into that.

I wish I had more dreams where I was dead. Those are the fun dreams. :|

Picture entry is below.

Gasp. I have successfully finished all the Diesel Sweeties comics up to the most recent one. All seventeen hundred something of them. :0

I need to start going to bed earlier. :S
