sorry I didn't update all day. I had a doctor's appointment at lunch today and the baby is progressing nicely. He has started to drop into my pelvis like he's supposed to and he's head down (always a good thing) and he's turned to the left (his spine is to my left)...so he's getting close! Next week, the doctor's going to check to see if I am dialated any then we'll go from there.

Other than that...I worked until 7pm tonight and that sucked. I'm tired of working...and I'm tired of having to work...I'm done bitching now...

I caved...

I'm ordering digital cable as we speak. I was really against using cable as it was so expensive and was leaning toward getting a dish, but being in an apartment, I think it would just be easier to get the cable. With the Internet and the cable, that'll be the only extras that we get. The luxuries we can afford...lol

Sometimes I just get tired of sitting on the Internet, so it'd be nice to actually sit on my ass and watch TV too. The whole Comcast thing is weird though. If you order online, you get to complete your order online with a live customer service representative online...it's strange. Unfortunately, the earliest install time they have is Saturday the 13th...I have to wait that long for them to come out and do anything. I am wondering if they have an earlier time maybe this weekend or something.

But yeah...I can now watch Cops again! YAY!!!!!!

I haven't posted a picture of a baby animal for a long time, so now you get a baby moose...he's so cute!

Lunch was catered today at work...and it's yummy!

The only thing...I had this restaurant yesterday when I went out to lunch with Brian...and here they are catering our lunch today. Oh well...I'll eat tacos and whatnot two days in a row!

Today...very busy...tomorrow, probably equally as busy. I wish there would be some sort sort of slow down, but I don't see that in sight.

Anyway, I'm keeping this short and sweet since I don't have a lot to talk about at the moment...have a great day folks!

Already so eventful...and it's only 10:30!

I woke up this morning having to use the bathroom as usual. Looked in the mirror and the baby seems to have gotten a little bit lower. What happened to this gradual migration downward? I really hope he's in no hurry to make his big arrival because I have to wait at least 10 more days! That's when my mom gets here and whatever plans the baby has after that, he can go ahead and do them...he just has to wait!

In other news, last night at about 2am, the cornerback for the Denver Broncos, Darrent Williams, was shot and killed a drive-by shooting in Downtown Denver. That's extremely shitty...you know, he was a good player and all and to die like that is just horrible. I guess a car drove by and just sprayed the limo he was in with bullets and off they left. It's not like he was in a bad part of town either...you know, I would have expected it if they said Aurora or something, but it was sort of down by the 16th Street Mall and Larimer Square...so it's sort of depressing. Makes you not want to go downtown anymore :(

But anyway...it's cold in my house this morning, so I'm gonna go bundle up in a blanket and try and put my feet up. My feet are swelling HELLA bad! I feel like an elephant or something because my legs are feet are HUGE!

um...okay

Today was uneventful. I went over to Brian's work today at lunch and we went to get Panera Bread. I had the tuna salad sandwich and it was extra yummy. I've never really eaten there before, so it was a nice surprise. The bread was moist and soft (the way good sandwich bread should be)...yum!

After that, I went to Barnes & Noble to get a calendar. WELL, I must have waited too long because everything was picked over and they didn't have anything that I really liked. I didn't really want to go home after that either, so I drove to Loveland (that's a good 30 minutes+ away from my house) just to go somewhere. I found a calendar store up in the The Promenade Shops at Centerra and bought myself two calendars. I could not resist the baby animals calendar (which I'm putting up at work) and then I got myself a William Wegman puppy calendar (he's the one that takes the cute pictures of the weimaraners)...below is a picture for those of you who have never seen a weimaraner puppy:

But yeah...

After that, I came home for a little bit and started in on the laundry again. For those of you wondering why I'm doing the baby's laundry and he's not even here yet, you have to wash all the clothes before you let the baby wear them (as a lot of people do when they buy new clothes from the store too)...the baby clothes have to be washed in the dye free/perfume free laundry detergent (just in case they're allergic) and it's just a big pain in the ass. BUT, if it means my baby will have clean clothes...I'm all about doing the laundry 40 times before he's even born.

Brian came over after the Bronco's lost their game tonight (no playoffs for them)...probably didn't help that Jay Cutler got hurt or something and they ended up putting Jake Plummer back in the game...and then, I don't know. All I know is they lost...and that's it.

We went to Burger King (yes, quality meals here) and got behind this lady going through the drive through. ONE, we get in the line at the drive through and she's standing outside her car. We're like "what the hell?" We sat there for a good 5 minutes or so and then she finally orders and gets back in her car. You know, I'm thinking, why the hell are you going through the drive through if your car window is broken? You might as well have gone inside the building and ordered. SO, we pull up to the speaker box and sit there for another 5 to 10 minutes or so (this is how slow the Burger King is running)...FINALLY, our order gets taken and we drive around. He gives us our food (there's 2 people working or something) - doesn't give us our drinks. We tell him...he gives us drinks, one of which is the wrong size. Finally, we drive away and think everything's right. We get back to my house and realize they gave us an extra thing of chicken fries (and we didn't pay for them)...so all in all, that Burger King sucks...lol

But, I'm not doing anything else for New Years. Might watch it on TV and all that, but it's mainly just me doing laundry...and Brian watching anime on the computer. Such an eventful night, huh? haha...

I didn't update yesterday...
Sunday. 12.31.06 11:38 am
SO, sorry if you read my stuff every day (and if you do, I guess I sort of feel bad for you because I really don't write anything THAT interesting)...

It's almost 10am into the last day of 2006 and I am not going to spend it at work. I'll spend it working at home...doing laundry and cleaning instead (which is what I've been doing the past 3 days I've been at home anyway). To be honest, I'm extremely tired of doing the laundry. I never thought there could be SOOO much laundry, but there is. Just for the baby's clothes, I've already done 4 loads of laundry. He has more freakin' clothes than I do!

Anyway, I've gotta go take a shower and then get on the ball here today. Might have a bowl of cereal, but then I should really go out and get my car and trunk cleaned out since I have to get the car seat in the car and room for my mom's luggage and whatnot in my trunk when she comes. I'm gonna drive around to one of those car washes or something. They've not been able to get the trash from my apartment picked up as it's sort of snowed in and the trash just piles up around the whole thing...It's been almost 2 weeks since the trash has been picked up, so if you can imagine the amount of garbage that is out in the dumpsters, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Sun's out, snow's melting...I'm gonna get some shit done!

Damn Interesting...
Friday. 12.29.06 8:38 pm
I came across this on the Internet and I was intrigued. If you're into history or just want to read something interesting about history and strange things that have happened, this article will definitely pique your interest.

Here's the beginning of the story:

In 1922, a bank teller named Grace Fryer became concerned when her teeth began to loosen and fall out for no discernible reason. Her troubles were compounded when her jaw became swollen and inflamed, so she sought the assistance of a doctor in diagnosing the inexplicable symptoms. Using a primitive X-ray machine, the physician discovered serious bone decay, the likes of which he had never seen. Her jawbone was honeycombed with small holes, in a random pattern reminiscent of moth-eaten fabric.

As a series of doctors attempted to solve Grace's mysterious ailment, similar cases began to appear throughout her hometown of New Jersey. One dentist in particular took notice of the unusually high number of deteriorated jawbones among local women, and it took very little investigation to discover a common thread; all of the women had been employed by the same watch-painting factory at one time or another.

Snow day...again...
Friday. 12.29.06 1:21 pm
Well, I woke up early this morning to find out if they closed our office (and they have) so I don't have to work today, but seriously...I'm looking outside and it really didn't snow all that much up here (not compared to last week).

BUT, I guess it's supposed to get worse in my neck of the woods later on today with 6" to 12" accumulating throughout the day and then even more tonight. They're advising people not to be out on the road...and they've already got the National Guard out helping everyone out as well as calling it a state of emergency yesterday.

We've still got drifts higher than people out on the side of the roads and whatnot, but I guess the roads are somewhat clear (or so they say). The lady on the news is describing it as a big "ice sandwich" because there's a layer of snow (that didn't melt from the first blizzard), a layer of ice (from the snow that kept freezing over and continued to not melt from the first blizzard...this including ruts and whatnot from people getting stuck in the road...makes for a bumpy ride) and now we have another layer of snow on top of that. Regardless of what I think it looks like out on the road, they are not advising driving because little cars like mine, I guess, would struggle out on the roads this morning. Better play it safe, I guess...

I'll go into work on Sunday if I can. The snow is supposed to stop by then, but unfortunately, the business is not stopping...and we're the only ones that can't work from home...so, the more we don't have to go to work, the further I get behind at work and I see no end in that.

PLUS, got this baby coming here within the next 2 weeks...I feel bad for the poor girl who's taking my spot. It normally is not like this doing my job and she's seen some insane amount of paper cross my desk/her desk. I'm surprised she hasn't quit yet...I feel horrible :(

Anyway...my friend is going to dig her Blazer out ( don't think it's going to buried at all) and she's going to come pick me up and we're going to go to Target because we need some things. I need hangers so I can finish my laundry...and she needs some eggs so she can bake (hopefully there are eggs because people are hoarding groceries - and gasoline...we've run out of gas at gas stations)...

Have a great day ya'll!

I will leave you with a snowman (the snow we're getting today is good snowman snow...it's heavy, wet, and compact)
