You know your day is going to be a long and crap one when the company you're calling says they can't help you, but you don't have the information you're trying to get because THEY didn't give it on the commission statement. Yeah, I know. I kept being told how he couldn't help me and how sorry he was. I'm trying to fix their mistake and he was acting like no one there could help me. What a bunch of bull. I ended up speaking to a supervisor who was able to help me after I told him someone there must be able to give me the info I needed. I should have been offered it to begin with considering it was that company's mistake. They should have just joined a service a lot of companies we deal with use. Then I wouldn't have had to go through that mess.
Then came the morning mail. So the new temp receptionist is really starting to annoy me. I'm keeping my mouth shut and just talking to her myself, keeping a log on her and sending her reminder e-mails if what we spoke about warranted "written proof". I like her as a person, but she's having questions on simple things like something came in and she wasn't sure who to give it to. It said statement of commissions. Hmmm...I wonder who you'd give that to! For the love of all things holy! I am REALLY trying to be patient with her. To remind myself that everyone starts off new. A co-worker of mine said I used to give dirty looks and such when reminded. Of course I did. To me if you've been there a week you should know better so I always get pissed at myself if I screw up. This temp seems to brush it off and make notes. She says she's going to rewrite them to so she can read them at a glace. NOOO! She needs to REMEMBER what you're supposed to do. She needs to not have to look at her notebook and to get out of that habit, not make it stronger! /sigh
Ok, enough about her, time to talk of something else. Well I ordered my fiancé's ring and it should be coming sometime this week. I'm very excited! Today I'm going to see my jeweler after work and tell him of the changes I've decided on my ring. I think it will give it a much cleaner look. I've also decided to not shop around and to go with him. I've made him do so much work for me that it wouldn't be right to tell him no in the end.
Speaking of my fiancé, he's decided to tell his mom when we're getting married. I asked why he couldn't just tell her that we are and leave out the date part. Then we had this big discussion on how it would be wrong not to tell her the date and blah blah blah. I told him she's going to tell him he needs to invite his dad and stuff, but he thinks she won't. I told him if she does not only do I get to say I told you so, but I get to buy something! This has put a heavy weight on me though. I do NOT want her to come. He asked how he could explain not inviting her when she's immediate family and my mom's coming. Simple, immediate family living within 50 miles from us can come! tee hee hee He didn't like that idea though. If she comes then his youngest brother is coming and his crazy grandmother...no she's really crazy.
I dislike his youngest brother, but I tend to hold grudges and after someone comes after you with a knife you tend to not like them. I was babysitting for just an hour so my fiancé and his mom could have some time alone together when we went down to visit. His youngest brother decided to get this sharp knife, he was like 5 or so at the time, and was going to cut an apple. I told him I would do it that the knife was too sharp. Well he didn't like what I said so for the rest of the time while we waited there I was pinning a little boy to the ground with a knife in his hands trying to cut me. Yeah I had a lot of explaining to do when they came home. She said she lets him use that knife when she's there. WHAT?! He's a child why would you have a small child touching a knife? I kept that to myself though.
I'm very excited for my books to come! I can't wait! I'm either going to go with DHL or FedEx depending on how's cheaper. I refuse to use UPS if I have a choice. Hopefully within a couple of weeks I'll be sending Fangli and Suke their birthday gift. I've decided to not send Pocky since I doubt I'll be able to send it overnight. Yuck, hot melty sticky Pocky.
