Supposedly Getting Braces Friday, September 15, 2006 I'm supposed to be getting braces tomorrow but we'll see if I have to wait another week for them. I've gotten used to my spacers already so it doesn't hurt as much when I eat hard stuff as it did when I first got them.
I've been majorly stressing about school this past week. I think I've had a total of 3 or 4 tests this week. And next week I know I have at least 2 tests. And who knows how many pop quizzes. I'm also somewhat behind in AP Euro and I have to finish this group project for Honors English. When we did the project in class, me and 2 guys had to go take this stupid ELD test because we said that English wasn't our main language at home. So because of that test, I have to be in a group with those two guys. And we were only given like 5 minutes to work on it because everyone else was finished with it. But of course they had excuses for not bringing it home so I'm left with the practically the entire project that I have to finish by Monday. Great. Its almost 4am already and I'm supposed to be waking up at 9am, just 5 hours later so I'm going to get some sleep now. Comment! I just had a huge chapter test that I spent 5+ hours studying for because I was doing really bad in that class (it was AP European History). And I still haven't finished reading The Odyssey, which I need to finish sometime soon or else I'm going to end up failing a huge test in Honors English. The Lord of the Flies has been a good book so far though. We weren't supposed to read ahead but I was tempted to read the very last page and I did. We were assigned to assess a character when we received the book and I found out that my character dies! Oh well.
One of my friends has a friend who does tennis and she asked her friend about what to do if I wanted to join tennis and she told me that if I wanted to join, I should just walk into one of the practices. I really want to do that but I'm not sure if I'm going to because I don't even know when they practice and I'm probably going to be the worst player on the team. I'm also unsure because I don't want to be the only new person going.
Well, its almost midnight right now so I'm going to get so sleep. Night everyone. I promise to reply to all comments and everything once weekend comes or I get some extra time. Comment! I think she just didn't want to go because she didn't want to see her husband. *shrugs* At least that's what I think. So today was a really normal day.
We're starting The Lord Of The Flies in English. I hate the cover but from what I've heard, it seems like a good book. Not looking forward to the really sad parts though. I tend to cry during sad parts in a movie or book. I also failed a test in History today. It was a vocab test and I had no idea that it was today. I think that the best I did was like a 39%. Hopefully I got at least a D. I got my math quiz back and I got a 31/32. I'm not sure how many people got 100% but I wouldn't have made the mistake if I had paid attention in class the day before. But its not my fault that the class is so boring. I stopped paying attention a long time ago.
In PE, we had to play football and once again, I was put in a team where every other person was a guy. Great. (sarcasm) But the only good thing about that is that I actually caught the football whereas, the other times that I tried, I dropped the ball. Yay me. But when the game first started, I was really paying attention but the rest of my team were like running. And one guy was like "You just gonna stand there are do nothing, aren't you little girl?" But its not like he's that much taller than me. And the oldest he could be is 17 and that's only 2 years older than me. But whatever.
Last night, my dog almost got killed by a way bigger dog. At least that's what my parents said. I don't know who was walking my dog but it was at night and some other person had their dog off the leash or something and it attacked my dog. He didn't get hurt though, thank goodness. My mom complained to the sales office and I hope they do something about it. Because if my dog had died, I would've been so mad. Comment! (5) | Recommend! | Categories: Family [t] Sunday, September 10, 2006 My grandma's going to the airport tonight to fly back to Hong Kong. One of my aunts called yesturday saying that my grandpa was going to pick her up. I don't think my grandma is really happy about that. Because my grandpa wanted to get a divorce but my grandma didn't want one and she hasn't talked to him in a long time. At least, I don't think he has. Unless he's called when I was out of the house. But I highly doubt that my grandma would've picked up the phone with no one else at home.
Just wondering but does everyone say aunt as "ant" or as "aunt". I used to say "ant" but I switched in 6th grade. I was in a science class with a guy named Bobby and the teacher was explaining something. The class kind of went off topic but I don't really remember what we were talking about. Bobby was like a somewhat bad kid and I don't the teacher liked him very much. So Bobby was like "My aunt has one of those" but he said it like ant. And my teacher was like "How can an ant have one of those?" And then someone had to explain to the teacher that he was saying aunt. So now I always say "aunt" to avoid confusion.
I don't think there's going to be a lot happening today. I have no idea what time my grandma is leaving but my uncle is coming to pick her up. Things are going to be a lot different when she leaves. Because she practically did everything around the house. Cleaning, cooking, laundry, and she also walked my dog. I don't know how my mom's going to be doing everything. I'll probably walk my dog, vacuum once in a while, moving the lawn if we ever start doing that at the new house, and possibly laundry. If I learn how to work that thing, that is.
Edit:// I use a web counter called Blog Patrol, not sure if anyone else uses it here. But it shows the keywords that people searched to get to your site. And people found me by searching "funniest quote ever" and "ghs myspace layout". :P I've only had the counter since I think 10am this morning. Not sure though.
Just a random entry. I love how Windows XP has a smiley face as part of the name. I didn't even notice that until a few seconds ago. Lol. I noticed that I haven't used any smilies yet so here you go: Lol. That's so funny. Comment! (8) | Recommend! | Categories: Family [t] |
