Meh! I'm beyond tired at this point. Not quite freakish tired, but more than just tired.

My plan of coming home, showering, doing laundry and going to bed didn't quite go as planned. I walked in the door and my boyfriend told me not to take my shoes off cuz we were going out somewhere.

I ended up having to take my shoes off anyway ... in order to change out of my work pants and into capris. I also threw my clothes in the washer before we left anywhere, just so that I'd only have to wait for the dryer to be done before I went to bed, instead of both the washer and dryer.

He has been busy the whole day, doing rather productive things and, though I've been tired all day, I'm always glad to go with him somewhere. Especially if he's driving.

We drove to the courthouse, he picked up some paperwork and we stopped at the Sushi bar across the street before coming home. Sushi is always a good thing. Tasty, healthy and incredibly filling. Good stuff.

I tossed my clothes into the dryer as soon as I got home and jumped in the shower once my boyfriend left for work. Just a quick shower; probably about 15 minutes, if even that.

Now all I have to do is wait for my hair to dry enough so that it doesn't crimp weird while I sleep {I don't own a hair dryer and with my hair being long and thick, it takes a few hours to air dry.} In the meantime, I'm passing the time by updating you on my not-so-productive day.

Man, I'm tired. Hopefully tonight I'll sleep better than last night. Sundays always suck on sleep.

get skinny!!!
Sunday. 4.11.09 10:04 pm
The last couple days have been fairly uneventful. Thursday was spent not doing anything. Yesterday I had a date with my boyfriend's mom. And today I just drove around and hung out with my sister for a bit.

The date yesterday went well. She went to the spa salon at the casino to have her hair cut. Then we went over to the Cafe to have some dinner. Afterwards we gambled for a little bit {I profitted $10} and then we just went home. I made a bad joke at the end of the night that it was a "good Friday."

Today didn't start out very well, but it probably had something to do with me not sleeping very well last night. It got a better as the day progressed. I was going to go clothes shopping today, but when I went to Target, I realized I was not in the mood to buy clothes. So I stopped over at the mall, said hi to my sister, made plans for later in the evening and headed on my way.

I left the mall and drove the 80+ miles North to Mesquite. I didn't get too far into the town. I needed to use the restroom so I stopped at the first casino off the highway and hung out for about 45 minutes just playing off of a $20. It's not bad considering a $20 can be spent real fast when gambling. It killed a little bit of time, but I didn't want to press my luck much more so I left.

I came back to Las Vegas, picked up my sister and we went over the small, travelling carnival. We rode four of the rides and wandered through the classic cars they had on display.

One of the rides was the UFO type thing where you stand up against a cushioned part of the wall and as it spins, gravity forces you to stick up against the wall. Well, as it spun faster and faster, I could feel my stomach being sucked in like the rest of my body. I looked over at my sister and yelled "get skinny!!!"

I found it funny enough that I randomly sent that in a text to my boyfriend, who was confused, just as I intended.

All-in-all the day ended fairly well. As I sit here typing this, I'm enjoying a drink: Dole's Orange Peach Mango mixed with Vodka. And my boyfriend will be home in about 5 hours. A good end to a fairly decent day.

{EDIT} I finally got my car up to 100mph today. Prior to this my top speed was about 92mph. But since I drove most of the way to Mesquite at a steady 90mph, speeding up to 100mph didn't take too much more effort. I only drove at that speed for about half a mile, but I figured it'd be smarter to slow down rather than hit the car in front of me.

new person in the midst ...
Thursday. 4.9.09 12:09 pm
I was telling one of my coworkers about NuTang and she seemed to be excited by the idea of something new to try out on the web. I gave her an invite code yesterday and she's created her name. She hasn't posted a blog yet {which is why her name hasn't shown up in the new users list} but she told me she'd be working on that today. So keep a look-out for EchoesReef. She'll be coming to us soon.

In other news, today is the first day of a rather long weekend. My boyfriend left for Phoenix last night and arrived there fairly early this morning. He'll be back sometime mid-Saturday, but he'll be sleeping when he gets home because he has to work graveshift {11pm-7am} Saturday night.

Sunday is Easter and I'll be spending it at my sister's boyfriend's uncle's house. Then I when I come home, my boyfriend will be at work and I'll be sleeping because I'll have to work my early morning shift on Monday. So I basically won't see him until Monday.

It's not bothering me too much now, but on the two nights {the only two nights a week} I usually get to sleep with him and he won't be here, that's when I'll be affected the most.

I've got nothing planned for today. Just showering and repainting my toe nails. Tomorrow, however, I have shopping to get done. It'll keep me occupied for a while, away from the house and distracted. I'm not sure about Saturday. I might split up the shopping between the two days, but I doubt it'll happen. Maybe my sister won't be working and I can go do something with her. Who knows.

Uhm, yeah so I guess that's it. Just make sure you guys keep an eye out for EchoesReef. Hopefully she'll like it here and become just as active as one of us regulars.

mmm, tasty
Tuesday. 4.7.09 3:15 pm
I had a breakfast burrito for "lunch" this morning {I take my lunch break at 7am} and it was tasty. I have him make it special for me because I don't like eggs, so he just adds in extra sausage or hash browns or something to make up for the lack of egg. I've made the decision to eat that once a week. The rest of the week, I'll be bringing in my lunch.

I've decided to take a miniature road trip to Tucson the last weekend of this month. Yes, I'll be driving by myself. No, I'm not terribly worried. Instead of taking time off, I'm going to be doing it over my days off.

My boyfriend is going to be leaving for Phoenix tomorrow night and I would have gone with him, but I can't afford to take the time off. He's going on his days off, I'm going on mine. I'm going to miss him, but it's only a few days. It's some much needed vacation time for the both of us. Besides, we'll be going on a week-long vacation together at the end of May. I'm excited and very nervous about that one.

Uhm, yeah, that's it for now. You guys should definitely check out Randomjunk's blog. It's funny stuff.

lazy day
Sunday. 4.5.09 3:20 pm
Friday was spent wandering. I didn't feel like staying at home and I honestly didn't want to see anyone. Unfortunately, I didn't want to drive on the highway so my plan to take a long drive kind of went out the window. Instead I wandered around stores. I went in search of new shoes first ... and haven't succeeded yet.

{sidenote:} I hate shoe shopping. Definitely not a typical "girl" saying, but it's true. I can't stand shopping for shoes. My 'collection' is fairly thin. I actually think my boyfriend has more pairs of shoes than I do {he's got 4 or 5 pairs} I've worn the same kind of shoes for the last 4 or so years and they work well for me. It's not because I have trouble changing routine, I just hate shoe shopping.

After [temporarily] failing the shoe search, I wandered over to Target. I ended up buying some new undergarments. Nothing terribly special, but I needed new bras. I also bought myself a new pair of pajama shorts. They're not actual 'pajama' shorts; they're actually sports wear, but I've found those are more comfortable to sleep in.

After leaving Target, I made my way over to K-Mart. I haven't been there in years and now I know why. K-Mart used to be the best place to buy underwear and pajamas ... not anymore. I don't know what happened, but K-Mart was a total disappointment. No wonder they had to close out so many of their stores.

Left K-Mart and still didn't want to go home so I stopped at one other store; one I had never been to: Kohls. I will definitely be going back this weekend, once I get paid, to buy some normal clothes; not just underwear and pajamas {which was my main search this weekend.}

Yesterday, I went up to Target to see my sister and I wandered around the store again to pass the time until she got off work. I didn't buy any clothes this time, just some gum. After she got off work, I went up to another Payless in search of the pair of shoes I was looking for and failed again. I would have gone to one of the other locations that actually had them in my size, but by that time it was too late in the evening to drive to another side of town; I had other plans.

I dropped my sister off at her friend's house and made my way up to Jake's work. Trevino day {Saturday} is the one day a week I try to bring up food for the two of them. This week, it was Taco Bell. {Cheesy Double Beef Burritos are a gift to the Taco Bell lover.}

Due to the running around the past two days, I decided I wanted today to be a lazy day. Which is exactly what I've made it. I haven't changed out of pajamas, I've played on the computer, watched a movie and am in the process of reading a book.

Work starts up again tomorrow. Ugh.

Does no one in this house know how to use a trash can? Or rinse a dish? Fuck!

{I don't entirely exclude myself from the lack of trash can use, but I don't leave stuff in the sink to get soggy and mushy.}

Work annoyed me today. Even though it was Friday, I found myself annoyed for the greater part of my shift. People were just getting on my nerves.

It's windy today. I actually found myself laughing at how the wind was making me walk faster than I wanted to just because of how hard it was blowing. It wasn't very nice to my little car though. I had to keep a grirp on the steering wheel to keep it in the lane I was driving in.

I was going to drive about an hour and a half North to Mesquite today, but with the wind the way it is people are going to be driving all crazy. I don't want end up in an accident because some idiot couldn't control their car.

Perhaps I'll stay home and read today. I still have my new book {that I bought a month ago} to read, but I want to read the prequal to it first, which I'm in the process of doing. Either that, if I do go out of the house, I'll stick to strictly this side of town. No highway driving ... even though I prefer it.

Anywho, I guess that's it. I'm on edge right now so I have to be careful what I say. Any little thing could easily piss me off right now and I'm likely to snap. I just really don't want to snap, unnecessarily, at the wrong person.
