So just real quick. Bryce's memorial was held today. Amy said it couldn't have gone better. You can read what she wrote and the poems that were said at the service here. I love the poems. They're all really touching.

Anywho, now that I've given an update, I want to write about some plans I am in the process of making for later in the year. Particularly around my birthday. Now, I haven't celebrated a birthday in a "big" fashion since I was 17. Not even my 21st birthday was anything big. My mom and I went and played bingo. Then for dinner my family and I went to Outback Steakhouse and I ordered my first legal drink, a kiwi martini. I am turning 25 in October and I am excited about it. I want to celebrate my 25th birthday in a big way. And that way, is by planning a trip to Walt Disney World.

For both my boyfriend and I to go on this trip, I'm estimating that we'll need about $2,000 and that doesn't include play money. We'll also need to make sure that we have enough to afford to take the week off from work. In the next 9 months {I'm hoping to have all this booked by September} we should be able to get our finances in order enough for us to be able to afford this trip.

I have, however, come across a dilemma. Thanks to the wonderful awesomeness that is being a woman, Mother Nature will be doing her thing right around the end of when I was originally planning on scheduling my vacation. Now, I wanted to be at Disney ON my birthday, but I'll either have to schedule the vacation earlier than planned and be leaving on my birthday or just have to wait and schedule it for the week following my birthday. Which blows. At least I won't have to deal with Mother Nature until after my birthday. I have that to be thankful for.

I know that this is still really far off, but I wanted to rant about the fact that even when I think I've got it all planned out, there's always a curve ball. Oh well. It'll still be an awesome time. I just won't get that special birthday treatment.

Okay, I think that's it for now. I shall write again soon.

Until next time NuTang. . .

RIP Sweet Bryce

Bryce Kameron Raub passed on this morning. He's earned his Angel Wings. His suffering is no longer and he is finally at peace. Please say a prayer for his family. My cousin, Amy, is such a strong person; I know that she, her husband and their 4 year old son, Wade, will be okay, but right now they need strength, peace and comfort.

He's in Heaven now, playing with his friends who have already passed on.

I suppose now is the time

Christmas was decent. Jacob got me a 5lb Hershey bar. One serving size is 1/50th of the bar. I still haven't opened it yet. Jacob's aunt got us a 3 quart crock pot. By far probably the best gift received. Jacob's mom sent us a bunch of gift cards: Subway, Red Lobster, Olive Garden and a Master Card gift card. Jacob used the Master Card on a game and we used the Red Lobster one tonight for dinner. Oh and his aunt also got us a Blue C Sushi gift card. And me some awesomely comfortable socks. They're infused with shea butter and smell like peppermint. The fact that they're fuzzy makes them even better. Christmas morning we went to his aunt's friend's house for breakfast; she made quiche. I had to work my normal swing shift so I wasn't able to stay for dinner. But the left overs were good... except the yam/wild rice stuff. I don't like yams so that particular dish was nasty to me.

For this being our first Christmas, it wasn't a bad one. I'm sure it could have been better, but it was good for a first Christmas.

Skip ahead to New Year's. I felt like shit. The last few hours of my shift were not nice. I was in an out of the bathroom {what felt like} every 20 minutes and when I got home, it only became better because I was in the comfort of my own home and wearing pajamas instead of a uniform. I still had to make frequent trips to the bathroom. Jacob had to work until midnight, so we didn't get our New Year kiss until around 1am when he got home. Fine with me, though. The way I was feeling, I pretty much just wanted to lay down and sleep.

I'm guessing I ate something that didn't agree with my system because the worst of it was done within 24 hours. I'm still not back to 100%, but the trips to the bathroom have normalized. I'm drinking a ton of water so hopefully that'll flush out my system of whatever wasn't rid of in that initial 24 hours.

So yeah, that pretty much brings us up to date. I'm listening to Tron: Legacy sound track right now. I love the fact that Daft Punk did the whole thing. I'll probably take it out to my car to listen to over and over again on a better sound system than my laptop.

Something that amuses me is that we've had sun 5 days in a row now. Not one cloud in the sky; or very small, wispy ones. Vegas, on the other hand, got snow earlier this morning. Fun stuff.

Anywho, I don't really have much else to write about. I did have a rant yesterday, but I was too tired to write it up and now I don't remember what it was about. Oh well. I know that it won't be the last rant I have.

Until next time NuTang ...

not the right moment
Thursday. 12.30.10 1:10 am
I'm still waiting for the right moment to write about Christmas.

Now, is not that moment.

Perhaps I'll just do one long {or short} entry about Christmas and New Year's combined.

I guess I'll just have to see.

Until then, I continue to wait for the right moment

Then this is exactly what you need.

Hope you enjoy!

I'll be writing a belated Christmas entry about my Christmas Day happenings soon enough. I'm just procrastinating. In the meantime, this should hold you over.

I'm a dumbasss {UPDATE}
Thursday. 12.23.10 6:10 am
So out of boredom, I now need to buy a new SIM card. Instead of looking up online what a PUK was ... I killed my phone.

I have to get up in a few hours and get it taken care of. This is ridiculous.

People, here's some advice:

If your phone is asking for a PIN of any kind that you don't know what it is ... LOOK IT UP ONLINE! This way you don't kill your phone like I did.

UGH!

{UPDATE}
I got a new SIM card. My phone works just fine now. It didn't cost me anything so that was really cool news. The guy just replaced the SIM card and actually held the door for me when I left and wished me a Merry Christmas {or Happy Holidays; I can't remember} It was just really nice. I did lose a couple cute texts that I had had saved from back in the day, but I honestly don't remember which ones aren't there anymore. I also had my recent calls list erased. It's weird seeing only a few phone numbers on that list now. All my contacts are still there. I don't think I ever got around to saving them to my SIM and now I'm glad. I don't have to worry about tracking people down to get their phone number in case I happen to want to send them a text a year from now. Other than that, everything is as it was. Since I only got a SIM, not a new phone, the few pictures that I have yet to save to my memory card are still there. {I'm gonna have to save them to SIM before I buy a new phone ... or just make sure they're on my computer.}

Anywho, I just wanted to let you guys know that everything is all peachy keen now. And it only cost me the gas to get to the mall ... and the simple frustration of knowing that I had a momentary bout of idiocy.

Until next time NuTang ...
