Hey, everybody on Nutang, I haven't update in like 4 days, but I will end that drought right now. The forums are really good and I hope everyone of you will be a devoted member and actively posted. Some really interesing discussions going on and I'm sure pitchin' in your own two cents would just increase the depth and interest of the posts. Yesterday, night I saw "This is Sportscenter" on ESPN. It started at 10:00, Sportscenter is at 11:00. The first hour gave you a behind the scenes look at the ESPN headquarters. They have a lot of workers doing different things. For evert sports game, there is a guy analyzing it, and after every game is analyzed they make it into notes for the anchors to read. I really respect the sports anchors. The job they do is really hard yet they make it seem so easy. Then at 11:00, espn2 aired the actual sportscenter, while espn had like 3 diffrent split screens. One depicting the actual sportscenter, the other depicting the producers' room where the producers tell the anchors what to say in the headsets, and another screen depicting random behind the scenes tasks. I wish I had seen the same thing, but half the time I was enjoying Nutang. Peace.

Saw some cool movies on TV
Saturday, 7/26/03 - 4:26 pm

Friday night, the message board and shoutbox was idle here, so I turn on the TV to see what movies on. I turned on UPN, I saw Jackie Chan's face....but I didn't recognize the movie...I went to TVGuide Channell. It said The Accidental Spy . I'm like "I think ive heard of it". So, I kept on watching...it was like emotional shit, no fighting. And then towards, the end some really cool stunts. i.e. doing a tarzan like maneuver of a bridge...jumping off a burning truck...and crashing a motorcycle under an airplane, and missing the propoller by a cm. At the end, they showed the outtakes. Thats when I realized that I had seen this movie before. I forgot before because the setting was like in Greece at the end. In the beginning, it was in North Korea, and then it was in Turkey. Some really funny sequences in Turkey. The movie was pretty good. Plus, there was a surprising twist at the end, by a "multi-charactered" guy.

I then turned to BET, and saw another movie I had seen a long time ago. The movie was unintentionally funyn ebcause it unsuccessfully tried to be mad touching. It was called Play'd: A Hip Hoppers' Story. It was about a wanna be Tupac, who was involved in a conflict in deciding to sign with which record label. In reality, are record executives really this thuggish? The movie sucked. It was so crappy, that at the end when the "fake Tupac" was shot by the company he ditched...He performed in a music video supposedly from heaven. Like the Tupac "I aint mad at cha" video, but this was supposed to be real or something.

This afternoon, i saw Black Mask for like the 5th time. It starrs Jet Li. It is really good. Cool music, Cool plot, and most importantly Cool Fighting...The movie was rally cool, and a lot of cool fight scenes...plus a little humor here and there. The first scene was really cool, yet somewhat unrealistic. Tsui Hark is the shit. I saw it on SciFi channel.

Right after it, it was Black Mask 2: City of Masks. Damn, this was one of the WORST movies ever. What a disgrace to Black Mask 1. If Jet Li agreed to be in this movie, his career would have been down the drain. I only saw it because Rob Van Dam was in it, one of the coolest wrestlers. He was "The Claw", which was supposed to be a wrestler in the movie. This movie sucked so bad! In the wrestling league, the wrestlers are supposed to mutate into creatures and fight as beasts!!!Like this guy, Iguana, he was a white guy with a luchador like mask. then before he came out, he started mutating! Then a tale popped out, and he was like a mini Godzilla! I was like wtf. All of a sudden, he had a tantrum and started beating up the crowd, and beat up his opponent backstage...He went to his opponent's sona nd kidnapped him. Then, he started scaling the outside of a skyscraper, with like cops and shit below trying to pacify him. then the new "black mask" knocked him off the building. What a waste of a movie! I turned it off, and started watching the Red Sox/ Yankees game instead...really good game. I wonder who'll win. Its tied 4-4.

This is the 30th Anniversary of Bruce Lee's Death. To salute him, AMC is airing many movies of him. It starts at 6:00 Eastern/3:00 Western. and ends 12:00et/9:00pt. It will be a triple header of Lee movies, such as Return of the Dragon and Fist of Fury. Catch it! Peace.
