The happiness that everyone seems to have noticed as of late seems to be getting to my nervous system finally and is breaking it down.

I'm definitely feeling, as randomjunk said in her blog, "irritable." Everything is pissing me off. I'm feeling a lot more depressed lately. Stressed over money issues, relationship issues, friendship issues, work ... the list can keep going.

I almost feel sick of being happy all the time. I mean, I'm not happy all the time; I'm well aware of that, but considering I've been in a much more obvious good mood compared to before? I almost feel like the depression is fighting back. The chemical imbalance in my brain is saying, "whoa, hold on here. I am top dog in this brain and this 'happiness' is becoming a little too overwhelming for my liking."

I need a vacation. A break from everything. I need a place where I don't have to worry about how much money I have or don't have, where I don't have to worry about work or obligations.

School starts Jan. 3.

So much for getting that break any time soon... At least the residency has finally been adjusted so I only own $1300 instead of $3000. It's actually more like $800-something since I did receive a little bit of financial aid. Still. It's adding to the stress on my already-low funds.

I just want a break ...

handwriting
Friday. 12.16.11 3:13 pm
I feel like I should start handwriting my blog entries again. Don't worry, I won't ever leave here. I will still post entries, but I actually hand-wrote an entry last night and it felt pretty good. A different kind of satisfaction from typing out a blog entry.

I'm a bit out of practice on handwriting stuff, but I need to get back in to practice for school.

I'm feeling really out of it today. I hate Fridays. I'm probably the only person who can't stand Friday, but it's true. I don't like the people that I work with and it's usually the busiest day of the week. I also had a bad morning in the sense that I'm stressed about money and not having even close to enough. I have no idea what I'm going to do in order to pay my bills.

I have to completely forget about Christmas. If I don't have enough money to eat or put gas in my car how am I supposed to spend the extra on gifts for people?

Ugh. I hate this. I know how I ended up here, but there's nothing I can do to reverse it. I just hope I get some kind of break. I need a break. . .

Time to see how you did ...
Sunday. 12.11.11 9:33 pm
I figured I'd have more takers on the brain teasers. They're more fun to answer.

So let's see how the three who answered scored:

Randomjunk: 9 out of 15. Your answer to #2 made me laugh. And even though your changed answer to #12 can work, it's not quite the one I had on the paper that I got these from.
Nuttz: 7 out of 15. Your answer for #8 also made me laugh. And I can understand why you didn't know #9 or #12 since you probably write your dates and times different from us and you're probably not used to the different US coins.
The-Muffin-Man: 9 out of 15. Your answer to #9 is close, but the numbers only go to 8. And your answer for #12 was funny and could also fit, but then again it moves wherever you go.

1. This one was probably the easiest: All months have 28 days.

2. I didn't understand this one myself until after reading over a couple times: The time is 1:45. The man gave away a total of $0.25. He divided it between two people, therefore he gave a quarter to two.

3. Another easy one: The match.

4. This one you have to kind of think about, but if you over think it the logic gets in the way: The bear is white because it is a polar bear.

5. This one all depends on how well you are in math: The answer is 3. Division before addition; half of 2 is 1, plus 2 is 3.

6. Muffy's answer still makes me laugh: Yes, they have a 4th of July in England. And a 5th and a 6th ...

7. Haha, this one you have to read closely in order to understand why you all got it wrong, Don't feel bad, though. I got it wrong at first too: NOAH had the Ark. Not Moses.

8. Muffy sort of had this right: A dog can only run halfway in to the woods. Then he could be running out.

9. This one can be confusing if you don't know how our calendar works: On an American-style calendar the significance makes is read: 12:34 5-6-78.

10. Gotta love a play on words: A man's widow implies that the man is dead. A woman can't be a widow otherwise.

11. Another play on words. I'm not really sure what the significance of them being placed in a specific field is though. Random has a point, too. The wording of the question implies that there are only two fields, however since I didn't make these up, here's the answer that was given: If he combines them all, they all become 1.

12. This one can be a variety of things, but the answer given: The temperature.

13. Yet another play on words, but you 'Tangers are smart and caught that only one of the two coins was not a nickel. No one said anything about the fact that the second coin couldn't be one: A nickel and a 50 Cent piece.

14. Some people will just do the math, but that's why you all got it right: 9 sheep are left, because all but 9 died.

15. Even if you used a calculator, that's fine: The answer is 70.

only one taker ..?
Friday. 12.9.11 12:15 pm
Well, at least Midnight admitted she didn't know the answers. I got no other takers ... So as her reward, I will PM her the answers.

These might be more fun to answer. Here are the brain teasers:

1. Some months have 30 days, some have 31; how many months have 28 days?

2. A man gave one son $0.10 and another son $0.15. What time is it?

3. If you had only one match and entered a room in which there was a kerosene lamp, an oil heater and a wood-burning stove, which would you light first?

4. There is a house with four walls. Each wall faces south. There is a window in each wall. A bear walks past one of the windows. What color is the bear?

5. Is half of two plus two equal to two or three?

6. Do they have a 4th of July in England?

7. How many animals of each species did Moses take aboard the Ark with him?

8. How far can a dog run into the woods?

9. What is the significance of the following: The year is 1978, thirty-four minutes past noon on May 6th?

10. Is it legal in California for a man to marry his widow's sister?

11. If a farmer has 5 haystacks in one field and 4 haystacks in the other field, how many haystacks would he have if combined them all in the center field?

12. What is it that goes up and down, but does not move?

13. I have in my hand only 2 US coins which total $0.55 in value. One is not a nickel. What are the coins?

14. A farmer has 17 sheep. All but 9 die. How many did he have left?

15. Divide 30 by 1/2 and add ten. What is the answer?

something to ponder ...
Friday. 12.2.11 10:45 am
... and no cheating!!!

I found some old papers that I have with brain teasers and 'obvious' questions on them and I figured I'd share.

"Obvious" questions today ... in a few days I'll post the answers. This will give you some time to guess. I'll post up the brain teaser questions in the same post as the "obvious" answers in a few days.

"Obvious" Questions:

1. How long is the Hundred Year War?

2. Which country makes Panama hats?

3. From which animal do we get catgut?

4. In which month do Russians celebrate the October revolution?

5. What is a camel's hair brush made of?

6. The Canary Islands in the Pacific are named after what animal?

7. What was King George VI's first name?

8. What color is a purple finch?

9. Where are Chinese gooseberries from?

10. How long did the Thirty Year War last?
