So, I had to go to makeup school, today, to make up a chunk of the sixteen hours I'd missed , this semester (because of Italy, before you ask). I was sitting there when suddenly I heard one ask, "Is that the cross-country team?" Instantly, his other two friends gave him a hard time, because they saw it obvious that it was, since the people were running. I have to grant them this; when you see people running, at my school, it's usually cross-country.

And they were giving this guy a BUNCH of shit on his supposed stupidity. The other girl at my table (an acquaintance) looked up, completely oblivious to this conversation behind me, and said, "Is that the cross-country team?" I shrugged, trying to focus my vision on the distant figures.

They all had ponytails.

"No..." she said, "that's cheerleading."

And I said, "Oh," and bent my neck to look at my notebook again, still listening to the guys making fun of such a "stupid" question.

I suppose with the more knowledge you gain, the more stupid people there are in this world.


It made me smile.
