So.. I have been playing this game the whole long weekend... And it is similar to Diablo but better in the sense that you are able to customise your character(s), large stash space right from the beginning (no, you don't need to buy more space), there are a lot (seePassive Skill Tree) of stats that you can pick and choose for your character and you don't need to constantly buy health/mana potions cause they refill themselves when you fight monsters (so you just need the empty bottles)... and I shall leave it here..

Now, the bad stuff about this game is that it is still a beta, which obviously mean bugs, patches, unstable at certain parts.... If someone already has a character name of your chose, you are not gonna get it and the names must be alphabets only.

Depending on the player, you may find the "map will reset if you are not back there in x minutes" annoying (although it really increases replayability, it can get to you if you died somewhere without a way point and no open portal), there is no gold and skills comes from gems which could only be put into sockets of the same colour (which means if the weapon of your chose doesn't have it, you're screwed in some sense).

So... yea, that is all, for now.. I shall update soon!

P/S: I dreamt of Muffy last night. I was telling someone that the dude has such an awesome life cause he gets to travel around the world doing what he loves. Weird, I know, because that is what I tell everyone I know when it comes to travelling the world doing what you loves most.

The Teleportation Incident
Thursday. 1.10.13 7:02 am
It took be about 3(I don't know, I lost count) months to finish this book by Ned Beauman. I was pretty looking forward to reading it when I bought it because the title sounded cool and it was on the ManBooker's Long list so I thought "maybe it would be a good read" and man, I WAS WRONG!

To be fair, I literally jumped in without looking but hey, it's a historical story and has something to do with a time machine, how bad can it go? Well..... I fell asleep while reading this book so many times, the first few Graham McNeill books from the Warhammer 40000 series that I read seems quite like a stroll on the beach.

The main character was long-winded and whiny and omg, make him stop before I strangle him! The storyline is chronologically all over the place but loose ends are tied up in the end.. some of them, anyway. There are some interesting parts but not enough to retain my interest. I won't say that it was a good buy but maybe if I read it at a different time, I may come to like it (like how it is with me and Sci-fi books, I used to hate them). If I do re-read it and find that I understand it and like it more, I will do it some justice but for now, I am going to keep it away and forget it exist.

I hope that most of you are having a good new year so far!

Why didn't the world end
Saturday. 12.29.12 3:51 am
on 21st December 2012?

I just watched the Hobbits and the fact that I didn't get any Benedict Cumberbatch is disappointing - other than that, the movie is good. Anyone noticed that one of the Dwarfs look like the lead singer from Nickleback? There is no Sherlock Season 3 until 2014, the next Benedict Cumberbatch movie, Star Trek is not till mid 2013, I probably need to buy Cabin Pressure off iTunes cause I cannot get all the episodes off YouTube. Downton Abbey.... I cannot spoil that one for some of you whom haven't watched it though I have no idea who else here watches it other than invisible and Dotty and Merlin is done and over with. There are hardly any new series that are worth watching or if they are worth watching, they usually don't get picked up for more than 1 season (which I do not get why).... and I was advised to stay at home for most of next year. Hahaha I am so not looking forward to 2013......

I have been stuck reading a book for the longest time because it puts me to sleep.. I should have bought the other book! I don't think I will be breaking last year's record but at this moment, I do not really care..

Okay, I am done with my year end rant.

Have a happy new year everyone!

This thing about dates
Wednesday. 12.12.12 5:42 am
For the past 10 years or so, people have been obsessed with the arrangement of dates and times (e.g. like today 12/12/12 and the time would obviously be 12:12:12) and I don't see why it should be such a "celebrated" notion. I mean tomorrow is obviously 13.12.12 and there will be 13:12:12 and no one would make even squeak about it. And not forgetting later in the month there will be 20/12/12 and 20:12:12 (depending on how your dates are). Honestly, I don't see that as any more than a marketing gimmick to get you to spend more by making some day "special". My friend turned 22 on 11/11/11 and my colleague turned 25 today. Also, not forgetting the number of people getting engaged and married today.

What is the fuss people? Once in a life time? Well, there are a great many other things than dates that are once in a life time and I don't see those being celebrated enough. Dates are just dates, if whomever created calendars started it a year earlier, this date would have been last year and if he created calenders a year later, then it will be next year.

Mountain out of a mole hill, people. Mountain out of a mole hill.

I wrote a story
Sunday. 12.9.12 7:59 am
I read somewhere that J.K. Rowling wrote Harry Potter to mourn the loss of her mother. I did not start writing with that sort of an intention in mind but as I wrote, I find that I don't want to finish writing because to complete this means to acknowledge that whatever it is, it has came to an end. I don't know why I felt compelled to finish but since I already have, I thought that there would be no harm in sharing it with you guys since I do tell you guys a lot more things that I don't tell the people who are physically around me. Again, this is a work of fiction. I name it I Don't Know because it is the central theme of the story and do let me know if you have a more apt title (cause I suck at coming up with titles) and your thoughts on the story.

Everyone wants and Argentina - a place where the slate is wiped clean. Well, the truth is Argentina is just, Argentina. No matter where we go, we take ourselves and our damage with is. So, is home the place we run to? Or is it the place we run from? Only to hide out in a place where we are accepted unconditionally - places that feel more like home to us because we can finally be who we are - Dexter, Season 8.

How true is that? For me, it is quite true. Some days I rather be alone because it is much better than being around people who judge and only pretend to accept me for me. Some days, I wish would never end because I am happy, not angry and calm. Sometimes, these places where I feel most at ease is in the presence of certain people and sometimes I think I try too hard to keep them by my side so I don't lose myself.

"Home is where the heart is" and my heart is not here right now
