Let me let you in on a little secret. You can set the Yahoo! banner background color using the "text" field on the customization page.

However, this will only work if use a 6-digit hexadecimal digit (e.g. FFCC00). Leave out the pound sign (i.e. FFCC00, not #FFCC00).
