What are some old favorites you've been listening to lately, or some music discoveries you've made?

Me, I've been enjoying Spoon, The New Amsterdams, Violent Femmes, and Arcade Fire.
Some new artists I've found [that really aren't new...] Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Black Keys and Sufjan Stevens.

What do you like?

Lately, I've been listening to a lot of 80s rock. I downloaded monster ballads (platinum edition) and have that on my winamp all the time. I've also been listening to a lot guns n' roses, 'specially the live stuff.

I enjoy rock. My favourite band's the foo fighters, as I'm sure some of you know (or have guessed).

I like Spoon, too. I've just discovered OK Go. Or, you know, not discovered... just heard for myself the first time.

Your avatar kinda applies to this thread. I can't believe I didn't realize until right now... is it supposed to be the White Stripes?

Yes! My icon is from the White Stripes music video for "Fell In Love With A Girl". It's fun to watch - it's all in legos!


I like OK Go, too. Have you seen their video for "Here It Goes Again"? It's great! Like the video for "A Million Ways", it's them dancing. Only instead of in someone's backyard, they're on treadmills. Positively the best music video ever.

Anything as long as it doesn't give me a headache... *ouch*

Lately I've been into Interpol, Neutral Milk Hotel, some old school Daft Punk and a little bit of Ladytron.

Their video is awesome! Imagine the things you can do with a little creativity? I just saw it this morning as I woke up to my cell phone's alarm that was still going off a couple hours before waking up.

I've been advertising this new find everywhere, so people might be sick of me constantly writing about them. Murder by Death. They're not really new, but they're new to my ears. I tend to listen to a lot of orchestrated things whether they be for video games or "classical" stuff.

Recently I discovered the many wonders of Olivia Tremor Control/Circulatory System. Great albums from them.

Nick Drake, an acoustic guitarist from the late 60s/early 70s is also amazing.
