I realized out of random boredom that if you have, say, someone's screenname in a blog entry in your NuTang, if you google that screenname, your blog will come up as a hit. Shit! The last thing I need is someone from school or something finding my NuTang. So I went through all my entries and changed every screenname to the person's name instead. Yet if you google the screenname, my blog still shows up like I never changed it. Will that change -- like will google "refresh" or something? If not, I'm going to have to delete the entries -- and what if that doesn't work either?

NuTang doesn't have a "friends only" feature, and even if it did I wouldn't want to use it because I enjoy having a random person, from time to time, pop into my entries with advice or witty comments or whatnot.

So someone please tell me that google will refresh or whatnot. Eeek.

My Nutang is for me to write about whatever the hell I want. Most of it I would rather not have people from school knowing, because I really don't need that added drama. That and if I write about -- for example -- things such as the suicide of my friend, I don't want people from school or such reading all about that and being all, ohmygawd, poor her. And treating me like I'll break in half upon pokeage.

Trust me, caring about what people think is the farthest thing from my mind. I just don't want to have to deal with people tip-toeing whenever around me and whatnot. Nor do I want to deal with the drama that will undoubtably be started, because the kids in my school are major douches like that.

Either way, I'd rather not have my blog on google.

True, true...ditto on the drama thing. *shakes head* You know high schoolers and all the fakeness going around. My blog is mine and nobody's business--except nutangers XP...and my friends?

HUGE ditto for that last line. I don't want some stranger finding me on google and it turns out to be some pervy old man or whatever...*shudders* NuTang is too PURE for that. XD

It doesn't stop after high school.

I feel let down.

My journalism teacher read my Xanga in the 11th grade. She held the stuff I wrote when I was a sixteen year old against me for the next two years.

I feel you! My mom found my nutang and it was of course right after I came home from visiting her and wrote this rant about her calling me fat....it was bad lol

Oh, man. Too bad, Lyn. Erm, I got found out, too. Thank goodness it's only one person, but still...rather not. How? Well, funny thing...I was the last person to shout, one little click and BOOM found out. >.> Oy. Let's hope it's been forgotten...

Not a lot of people in my life read my nutang. Which is convenient. And if I know someone DOES read it, then I take them off the mailing list prior to and replace them after a sensitive post.

lol we need a feature on nutang to hide everything from search engines, and keep teachers and things from finding all of that crap, lol especially moms and things..

That's why I just give everybody cutesy nicknames... and don't post about my wild drunken orgies.
