Some of us have been scheming about things to do around here to liven things up a little, and we thought maybe a scavenger hunt might help some. While we're not entirely sure how we're going to go about this, exactly, this is a thread where we can practice the art of scavenger hunting on the internet. A batting cage for scavengers, if you will.

RULES:
i. Because this is a NuTang scavenger hunt, only post clues you can find specifically on NuTang. This could be a memorable image someone posted, or an excerpt off of someone's page on NuTang. The key is that it has to be something one might recognize from being on NuTang somewhere, otherwise it ends up being just a wild goose chase around the internet.
ii. The clue can be from ANYWHERE on NuTang - from a member's page, or somewhere in NuTrol, etc. As long as it is specific to NuTang, or known to be from or on something specific to NuTang. i/e: a memorable image from one of dave's posts, or something like that.
iii. Only one clue up at a time. First, the clue is posted. Then members hunt around NuTang looking for where the clue may be found. When the correct place has been found, the member who found it then posts a clue, and goes on from there. If there is a clue already up that has not been solved yet, DO NOT POST ANOTHER CLUE. This only makes things confusing in the end.

I agree that the money-bags should be one person. Like the banker in Monopoly. lol
Dave did say he'd give me the funds if we start giving out PPS for this, so I could be the banker for this game.

So how would we level a clue? Wait 'til it's been solved to give it a level, or just trust the clue-giver to label it accurately?
Once we get this last issue settled, I think we can start the new game thread.

We should probably wait until it's been solved. Maybe the clue-giver can suggest a level and then after it's solved we decide if it's right?

That's what I'm thinking. But I kind of want to hear several opinions before we decide, 'cause I don't want someone saying a clue is worth more just so they can get more PPS.

Ideas? Suggestions? Anyone?

hmmm yea that system can be flawed..... I dunno ... and it might be easier to some than it is to others... so who is to say exactly what difficulty the clue is sometimes..

Like if went back on your blog invisible, and took a pic that everyone remembered really good from a blog you did 2 years ago.... some of the old time nutang people may recgonize it instantly... but then some of the newer people may never figure it out in a million years.....

We could have some categories to put it in. Like

Hmmm, that may be good... Maybe we can have a fourm for each one... I think that the fourms need their own fourm category. Lets give the fourm its own category under the members only fourm, like the nwf has

I... think I get your drift? You mean make a section in the Members Only area exclusively for the scavenger hunt?

sounds like a good idea and then people can choose what category they want to try and at least everyone (by that I mean those who wants to play) will not be concentrated on only one hunt. And I think this will go under the PPS Opportunities section, won't it?

Hmm, maybe... But i was thinking making it a whole nother fourm like the NWF is, would attract more attention to it, rather than just sticking it under pps oppournties. I mean after all, u can get pps from the nwf as well, and its its own section
