Everytime I try to make a gallery the pictures are just blank. :/ I don't think it's uploading.

I think this has happened before. At least, to me. I... don't quite know how to fix it, but you can ask dave.

If you just want to post pictures, I'd suggest using an outside service like Photobucket or Flickr (which I happen to hate).

Sometimes that happens to me if my pictures aren't jpegs or gifs. It'll look like it might work, then it doesn't. But if you make them into jpegs, they'll probably work. If not, sometimes it seems like it might be my connection or something, I don't know.

Flickr requires you to link back to them, which I find a bit annoying. Because of this, I have to use the code they supply, and that code comes with a big ugly border attached.

I dislike blue/purple borders, beccause they don't fit in with my site's color scheme. Therefore I remove the border for all my pictures.

With Xanga, I can just use the easy IMG [] code, and I don't need to look through so I can add 'border=0' somewhere.

You know... you don't have to even copy the link Flickr gives you. You can go to all sizes, choose the size you want, and then right-click the picture -> Properties. There'll be an address. Just highlight and copy that address and add

Indeed Bullet, that's how I use Flickr. Photobucket is better if you don't want all the social crap though. The cool thing about Flickr is I have had a few of my photos published in other websites on the intarbutts due to the networking.

I know you can use it like that, but they state that you have to link back to them if you want to use the service. I just feel I shouldn't violate the terms.

I've been obeying the rules for quite some time. I just happen to like to follow them. Or at least, most of them.

I know what you mean. Flickr is really more to just share and talk about your photos, and not so much a kind of service to just upload your pics to hotlink somewhere else. But eh.
If Flickr ever knew you were posting pictures without linking to them, they'd probably get all mad and suspend or delete your account. They're very particular about that.
