OK.. there are 4 things on this planet that drive me right up the proverbial tree.....

1. People who don't get out of the way for emergency vehicles
2. People who don't sing the National Anthem the way it was written
3. Them annoying rollover advertisements.
4. People who spell lyk thys. I dunno about u.. but it makes mi uncomfortable and makes me wonder about ur intelligence

No offense meant Muffin-man. I don't think you're an idiot. I do believe we've accelerated it as well. What annoys me is that they just assume we're the only cause and use that to frighten people into conserving.

My main beef with it though is people who jump to conclusions and refuse to admit that they could be wrong.

Well I came on a little strong...just spur of the moment kind of thing. I know what you mean though, conclusion-jumping and refusing to admit a mistake are all products of a narrow mind. It peeves us all in some way or another

Most people at my school are pretty good about it though, often calling "safety" and passing gas without shame. There's the ocassional pushover though who tries to cover it up, or just pretends it never happened at all.

- So called "pre-approved" credit card offers. Don't send me the f$#%@%& invitation if you're just going to deny it!

- Gangsta rap. (Enough said.)

- Guys who speak like they don't have half a brain in their heads. (This mostly applies to said Gangsta rappers, and the stupid ass kids of various different nationalities who imitate them.)

- Whatever program it is (can't recall the name) that allows (and in some cases requires) colleges to select applicants based on race rather than their academic record.

---- Work related peeves (I work at a hotel.) ----

- When people come in, past our huge lit up sign that says "Ramada", walk up to the front desk that's littered with the Ramada logo, and ask.. "Is this a hotel"/"Is this a ramada?"

- People who call on the phone and ask the same question after I've answered the phone "Ramada Inn, How can I help you?"

- People who, when asked "Are you traveling with any pets?" answer "Only my wife/husband/children." Har har har. That wasn't even funny the FIRST time I heard it.

- People who insist on telling me their life story when all I want is their information so I can get them out of my line.

- People who want to get a discount because they're checking in at midnight and leaving at 7......... Our checkout time is 12, you @#$%^&*. It's not my fault you want to leave at the buttcrack of dawn.

- People who ask about a AAA discount AFTER I've charged their credit card. Grrrrrr.

- People who ask what discounts we have. We're a hotel people. We're in the business of making money. Why would I tell you how you can get away with paying us less? Does that make any kind of sense to you?

- People who complain about everything under the sun but aren't paying for the room. (IE, their company is paying.. etc.)

- People who start talking to me in spanish without asking if I speak it. I'm a short white kid. Do I look like I speak spanish?

ok if you have more then one pet peeve is it pet peeves? not sure on that

i hate when people correct little gramatical errors like ya'll or others like that. not huge ones but the little ones that everyone uses

I don't bother with slang or things like that, but I hate it when people don't use apostrophes, or they use the wrong word. Like... "I went theyre"

Using the wrong "your" / "you're"

"you're cute."

"this is your car."
