I was wondering about the "no consecutive shouts" rule for the shoutbox. I'm still a bit new here, but I do enjoy chatting in it when I'm bored. I understand that this would open up the possibility of spam... but could that restriction maybe be removed?

It frustrating to have to wait for someone else to say something (especially when the shoutbox isn't very busy) before I can correct a mistake I made in a previous shout, or add on an afterthought to whatever I wrote last. Maybe we could allow a maximum of 2 consecutive shouts?

What do you guys think?

Well, I cheat. I have another account which I use to post consecutively.

I don't think you can do that though, since you have no invite codes (you don't... right?)

The two shout thing is a good idea, but it wouldn't work for everybody. Some people mess up twice. Then they'd ask for three, four... it might go on.

For now we just have to be careful of what we say.

Way back in the day, you could clear the box with a well placed .

So if you had an extra acct, you could log in, clear the box, and start over.

These days, you have to cheat and have two accounts.

I'm sure if two accounts started spamming the shoutbox, then dave would crack down on shouts...

You can always wait for your invite code and get yourself a 2nd account..

I remember when everyone kept accidentally resetting the shoutbox. And iki was always there elling everyone what not to type. She was like the shoutbox police. XD

shout box police? that sounds cool. sometimes people get carried away in there. ha ha. I like the no consecutive shouts rule. I hope that does not disappear.

I have three accounts {from back before the invite codes} but I do my hardest not to mess up. I don't like cheating and posting consecutive shouts. I agree with random, ppl would mess up more than once and try to up the amount of shouts allowed.

I just have the problem of not making it short and simple. I would make some 2nd accounts but I don't like to cheat either. If I mess up, I mess up. Oops. I have like 4 invite codes that aren't being used. Trade for pps? =]

@psychoenigma... use your invite codes to invite your friends to nutang our go into the forum that says "remember to use the invite tool" there is a link to the que where people ask for invite codes. :)

i cheat also, but only when i really feel the NEED to. i agree with the rule, because it pushes shouts out of the box prematurely.
