I haven't surfed the member blog much and it's already showing 178. I know for a fact I didn't do that. Is that from my surfing or other people surfing my page?

Pages surfed is how many pages you've been to. You surf around nutang a lot more than you think you do... it counts EVERYTHING. If you go to a different nutang page, or you refresh the page you're on, or you check the main page n >0 times a day.

So maybe when you were working on HTML, you were checking your page to make sure if the HTML looked ok? Places to sign up at are www.blogmad.com, www.blogexplosion.com and a few others. Those are the two that I use.
