Wednesday. 2.6.08 11:27 am Comment! (0) | Recommend! what is pride? if you think you know it, think again... Tuesday. 2.5.08 5:25 am arrogance... being unruly proud of yourself and bragging about yourself in front of others? that's right but that's only one extreme end of pride... there is the other end of pride that many did not realize... shyness or timidness is actually a display of pride as well! what?! I must be kidding you, right? consider again... pride originates from the self. if you think too highly of yourself, that's pride. If you think too lowly of yourself, that's pride too! simply because, at the core of the whole matter, all you are concerned about is yourself! it's always about I, I, I or me, me, me... what would people think of me? why did I do that? I'm such a failure. I don't want to reach out or talk to anyone again! isn't that still about you?! a truly humble person has no opinion of himself... he is not concerned about what people say... he simply accept what God has to say about him... he just do what needs to be done... he is not concerned about whether what he does is going to make him look good or bad... he just do it because that is the right thing that God wants him to do... It is written in Numbers Chapter 12:3 that Moses was the most humble man on earth at that time... guess who wrote the Book of Numbers? Moses! Yup, he just simply stated what God wanted him to write without feeling overly happy or embarrassed about that statement. It is written in Philippians Chapter 2:7 that Jesus made himself of no reputation... it's not good reputation that you must work hard to keep up or poor reputation that you must work even harder to improve but NO reputation that He took upon Himself so that He is not even bothered by reputation at all... I have much to learn from them... Comment! (0) | Recommend! Recollection of the Poem I wrote... it's really not about me, isn't it? it's all about others... Friday. 2.1.08 1:13 am If it even begins with me at all Then it’s a spontaneous response to an upward call Of living a life of passion and love Descending on others like a dove It’s not a single encounter that settles all But a lifelong journey through many walls Serving all and fighting hard, we’re in the business of mending hearts Bouncing up just like a ball No matter how hard you may fall For there are others who need you more That’s the life worth living for! A pair of eyes with tears to spare To connect with them and show our care To see their faces, how they fare A pair of ears like an open pore All ready to absorb and hear it all Attentive to help whenever they call A sincere heart that opens doors To unlock those burdens they “adore” To unleash their potential and make them soar! At the end of the day, it’s not the reward that matters more But looking back and knowing that Your life is full of no regrets Comment!
