The Evil Bus Driver & The First Snow!
Friday, January 19, 2007
watching: Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends

First off, the first snow! Added this after, but oh well. The first snow was this morning and last night, I guess. It's extremely late. It usually snows in early December. I hate the cold, but a year without no snow would have been wrong, so I am glad to have gotten some, but it was barely anything. Still something! It also meant it's FINALLY here, so we should be getting something real some time soon. Azalea thought it was very pretty. I took pictures, but there wasn't much there. I think I just heard the door....

Well, this is from yesterday and I wanted to apologize for not responding to anyone's comments yet, but that's only because I haven't had a chance. It's 9 in the morning here and I wasn't online too much yesterday.

The morning was.. uh... annoying as hell. Heh. First Jamie came over at like 10, which was fine, with her vacuum, yay! Since ours is broken and all... -cries- So... yes, I didn't do that right away because then she went and got me breakfast. I said I was hungry - I was just hungry - and she said she'd get me breakfast since she finally has money from working and ran off to get it. So, I ate that and we talked some and then she showed me how to use it.

So, I'm vacuuming the room and then I realize that I forgot to put down pretty carpet smelling stuff, so I am like, "Damn it!" and go out into the kitchen to get it and I see... Azalea's bus outside? It's 11:53.. I was like, uh, what and ran to get Azalea put her shoes on and then went back into the living room and it was gone. I got extremely pissed and Azalea got extremely sad.

Her bus usually comes between 12:10-12:15, usually the latter and sometimes even later. Her school starts at 12:30 and we are... two to three districts away, so it takes at least 10 minutes to drive there, so I always wonder how they get there on time. However, it's a schedule that we have gotten used to because we would be ready thinking they were coming at like 11:45 and then we'd sit there for a half an hour, so I started not putting her shoes and her jacket until it was almost time to actually leave - especially her jacket because she doesn't like wearing it until she's leaving. On Wednesday, though, there was a new bus driver? Or a substitute? I don't know, but she was different than nice, kind Cathy and yesterday she came nearly 20 minutes earlier and couldn't have been out there for long.. and then left? There is a monitor on the bus, too, since my daughter goes to an integrated pre-school, meaning there are typical children and then children some some other kinds of problems like low-spectrum autism, other PDD symptoms, speech delays and the like, so I figured she would know to tell her that they usually come way later? But they didn't.

Then I started to think that maybe I was hallucinating and the bus I saw while passing wasn't her bus and it was just another bus that had been driving by - so we waited. It didn't come. She was upset and crying because she loves school and she heard me say, "Oh, shit, what the fuck is her bus doing here?" As I came into the room to put her shoes on and Jamie asked what I was talking about. I was caught off guard!

So.. her bus never came and I waited for the school to call me, since I knew they would and told the lady that her bus came twenty minutes earlier and I had no idea it was here, so yeah. It pissed me off. That lady pissed me off. She better not say something to me. I was really mad and I kept saying things ... like, "I am going to yell at her tomorrow," not really meaning it, I was just mad and Azalea was like, "No! You can't do that!" And cried more and I felt so bad, so I stopped talking.

But, yes, the bus driver annoys me. I want Cathy back.

We are also supposed to have her parent teacher conference thing today, but we're not going. It's scheduled for 12:30 and we were going to go and Kell can take off, but we can't really afford for him to take off, if you know what I mean? He works in a deli and he's the delivery guy and he does have a very nice normal salary, but is still heavily dependent on tips for day-to-day luxuries and life since gas costs so much money, so 12:30 is the most awful time for them to choose. I will write them a note about it today, obviously.

Also.. Jamie did not come back for her vacuum. The strangeling.

Oh.. Funny story. Heh. I love Avenue Q. I have listened to it hundreds of times. It's an extremely funny musical with puppets and perversion and a bunch of other funny things and it's super catchy and great. I love the main character in it, who puppeteers Princeton and Rod and I adore his voice, it's awesome. Well, for months now.. since I watch Disney Channel every morning and then Cartoon Network all day... I have heard this show that's a 5 minute thing in between other shows on Disney Channel Mornings (Playhouse Disney!) and it's called Johnny and the Sprites. I have heard it... so many times, but the television is on.. not really for anyone to watch.. not even Azalea, really, unless it's something that really catches her eye... it's just on. I hate silence. It makes me dizzy. I like the television, if you watch the right shows, it's not stupid. But, yes, I have heard this guy singing the weird theme song to it soooooooooooooo many times, and I never really paid attention to it - until two days ago.. I was sitting here, since it was early and I was just... doing something and I heard the commercial again, but for some reason, it stuck out to me... I don't know why.. it just did, and I was like, "That sounds like Princeton.." Since that's what I call him as he doesn't seem to do too much voice acting for Princeton whereas Rod he definitely changes voices for and then I looked over at him... and I know I have seen him before, but maybe it was before I was totally into Avenue Q and had seen what the puppeteer looked like, but that was ... months ago... but, still, I was like, "What the hell, that looks like Princeton, too!" And I sat there a moment longer and then it was over and I felt tortured! So, of course, I did what I always do... I looked it up and it was him! And it was insane... I don't know why. It's just weird, but it totally makes sense. Then I did some more research on him and learned that he was a puppeteer on Sesame Street at only 16,then joined full-time at 18 and was an understudy for Elmo, hehe. I am not the largest Sesame Street fan.. but I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the Muppets... and Jim Henson.. and Sesame Street IS Jim Henson and they are technically muppets... so.. but those aren't the ones I mean, but I really do love puppets and muppets and I thought it was so funny because when I saw Avenue Q scenes and learned about it, I totally noticed that all the puppets looked like Sesame Street characters. Lucy the Slut is semi-based off of Dawn Marie from Sesame Street if she grew up to be a whore... But it was just so funny that his voice just clicked something in my head.

It's something strange that I love... I don't know. I am a huge voice person. I love voices. Every single animated thing I watch - and I watch lots and and lots of animated things... I don't only mean anime.. anything animated.. anything.. that I hear, even, don't even have to watch it. I have to know who the voice actors are. First, I usually try to match them up in my head and I am extremely good at it and my boyfriend does it, too and he's really into it, so that's kind of fun in a weird way, but we just can't help it. A cartoon comes on, an anime comes on - English or Japanese.. doesn't matter.. and we're like, "Hey, that sounds like!" And we sometimes use their characters names, but we usually use their real names if we know them - or call them both. Like... Steven Jay Blum... we call him Steve, usually, but we used to call him Spike... since he's Spike from Cowboy Bebop, but every time he comes on a new show, we're like, "Spike?" or, "Steve?" It's actually really fun. I am really good at it, too. I have a really good ear. That sounded kind of odd, but it's true!

I go insane with Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, though because I LOVE this show so much. This show is such genius and so fucking awesome. It is totally insane, but in a controlled and awesomely understandable way. I love it! But there are so many insane characters and so many INSANE HYPER ... totally psychotic... characters and I love them all, but then I want their voices and it's hard to remember them all... Like...

Mrs. Foster! Is also Coco. Is also Cheese. is also Crackers. Is also other people?

And Frankie is Goo? Lol. And other people. And it's insane. She's also Duchess... and did Mandy for a while from Billy and Mandy...

Then! The OTHER Mandy... is... an amazingly insane voice actor. Tara Strong... she does Mandy from Billy and Mandy and Raven from Teen Titans, but she's also Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls and English Rikku from Final Fantasy X and X-2. Her voice is insane. She's.... amazing.

Kari Wahlgreen, though, I think is becoming my new favorite... she's... in so many things that she's blowing my mind. I mean, I have known about her for years and that she was in a ton of things I loved, but the list just keeps growing. It's kind of scary.

Oh... yes.. that was my John Tartaglia (Princeton/Rod/Johnny and the Sprites) guy, but there was also another story, which people might not be interested in at all, but I am!

It's about ... The Wiggles. It's not new, mind you, but it made me sad nonetheless. The Wiggles are an all male childrens group in Australia and they have a show on Disney Channel - a lot of people find them creepy, but I don't find them creepy at all... I find them as... four men that had a common goal - they loved children and they got together and wrote simple childrens songs and everyone loved them. They were going to be teachers and educators, but they realized they could make a lot more money and reach a lot more children this way, so they took the entertainment route. I like them. I don't like the show, mind you, but I like them. I think they are extremely good people for what they did and what they do and how they entertain children and still teach them such nice things in all of their simple songs. The main one, is the yellow one, Greg... The show has a lot of scenes where they sing songs and show videos from their performances, where they perform for thousands of children and I was always amazed at how sweaty Greg got, because he got sooo sweaty that it looked like it HAD to be tiring him out but he was so dedicated and looked so extremely happy doing it, that it didn't matter.

But.. right after I looked up the Johnny and the Sprites thing, I looked up The Wiggles again. I've read about them in the past because... I have a four year old daughter and even if she isn't the hugest fan, she does watch sometimes and... it's part of her age-world, so I should know about them, and their story is sweet, so I went to check again.. see some updates - oh! Because the opening was new. And... I went there and I read that Greg, the Yellow Wiggle... has some chronic disease and he passed out ten times last year while they were performing and had to retire. It made me very sad. I don't think they will be the same without him, but they said he handed his shirt off to the guy that has been his understudy for five years and they have a nice formal video of it on their website so children understand and accept it, I guess... It's so sad, though.

Okay, I am actually done now. Here is a screenshot of SilkRoad to leave you with.

Okay. Enough of this! I am done for now. Going to play some SilkRoad for about an hour, I guess and then finish getting Azalea ready for school and be out there by 11:45 so I can't miss ANYTHING.

SilkRoad is fun.
