Let me clear some things up xP
Wednesday, November 24, 2010
I need to clear some things up from about comments in my previous entry.

@randomjunk, Kuri and renaye: When I said it's very hard for me to find work, I meant it. You need a degree of some kind before you can approach professional companies and suggest your graphics work to them. I have not been to college for graphics/web design, so therefore I am not professional at all. Which means doing freelance is nearly impossible.
However, I have found some online freelancing sites for graphics people like myself as a hobby years ago, and whatever the specifications were kept me away. I think I couldn't meet them or something. I don't remember.
As far as doing normal local work (i.e. waitressing like Kuri said) I don't have a car (no income to pay for one right? ) and no one has time to take me to work. so yeah...... -.- )

@Randomjunk: I drew the drawings with a HB art pencil, and I colored, cleaned and inked them on the computer.

@Kuri: lol I know. I can't fix the profile page for some reason. =/

@renaye: Haha. The divorce is a VERY good thing! The guy was a total worry wort who wouldn't let me do anything because he was afraid of loosing me. Look what happened.

I love Victorian shirts too! I have so many lacey tops in that style.

You should go out and audition when you get the chance! It's a really fun learning experience, even if you don't get the part.
=====================================
I ended up answering comments first. XD Oh well.

Point being is that work is VERY hard to get around here. You have no idea how many times people ask me the same exact questions that you all asked me. So I am going to write up an explanation of why I can't get work and direct people to it when they ask questions. In other words, I am tired of repeating myself. lol

Anyway, my latest drawing is almost done. I spent until 4am working on it. I can draw detailed art too, I just prefer to draw simple, cute art for the time being. It's something new and fits on tshirts perfectly. I can't wait to show you my new design. :)

Oh by the way, here are links to all of my shops. (Have I showed you yet? o.0 )

Prints - My ImageKind
Clothing - My CafePress
Clothing (More variety) - My SpreadShirt

I made my very first sale back in September. ^.^ I sold a tshirt with my Windy Day design on it.

Oh by the way, Facebook is trying to own the word "Face". Can we say creepy? I can.

Facebook to trademark the word 'face'

Ok, time to catch up.

Before I get to what I'm up to nowadays, it only makes sense to update you of where I've been the past year and half / two years.

Back in September 2008, my soon-to-be ex-husband separated. He pretty much kicked me out of the house. >> More later.

From there, my parents' house was the only place I had to go, even though neither me or my parents wanted it. I've been with them ever since.

Good news! My mom said she'll help pay for the divorce once she can afford it this spring. Yay!! ^.^ I can't wait to get my SOPHISTICATED maiden name back!

I have desperately been seeking work ever since (and even before my ex and I split). Finding online work is impossible because 99% of it are scams. -.-

So to pass the time, I've been vlogging, drawing, doing voice over practices, going to play auditions....and it goes on.

That is seriously what I've been up to during my absence. =/ It sucks that I'm not working like I wish I could be. At least I have friends to hang out with, and all of you keep me company too! ^.^

Ok. I realize that this blog is already long, but I want show you my art (which I put on sale). I like to draw really cute art with a sketchy look to them. I have these two so far.

What do you think? Would you wear them on a shirt? ^^;

The shirt versions of these don't have the borders and backgrounds, by the way. I felt that borders, etc. would be too much for a shirt. These are actually just my prints. ^^

I'll talk more about my art next time. For now I'll respond to comments.

@ikimashokie: Yeah I know....I REALLY wish I hadn't delete my old entries, but at at least I remember a few of them. Most of them were about the same day-to-day life experiences.

@LostSoul13: Yeah, sometimes you just HAVE to delete your entries, there's no choice. In my case, I really didn't need to...... But I won't delete them ever again.

@Kuri: Yup HTML5! I know it's soooo bizarre!!
Haha yeah! I realized that I never put in the padding! So I added padding:4px and it worked! ^.^ Now it looks great on IE and Firefox!
Aww thanks. ^.^ I can't wait to make a new one and I'm eager to see a new one from you!
Yeah.... It was depressing to see all of my "life" entries gone when I came back..... I wish I had made them private instead. I guess I figured that I'd forget the password or something... :(
Since you asked last time, my Youtube is youtube.com/xrarelightx and my Twitter: twitter.com/krissyarcher

@renaye: Yeah. Well I am still legally married. I got married in 2002, separated in 2008, and will officially divorce spring 2011. I can't wait.
And to answer from last time, I don't use Photoshop and never have because I can't afford it. I use Gimp and have used it since 2005. :) I'm pretty fluent in it. lol
I'd love to do freelance graphic work, but I have no idea where to do it.
