I'm getting closer to getting a ferret. I decided to adopt instead of buying one at the pet store. There are many ferrets out there that get abandoned by their owners who didn't know anything about ferrets and just bought them on a whim because they looked cute. So, I decided to give a home to a fuzzy in need. There isn't an ferret rescue/adoption group here in Laredo, so the director of Ferret Waystation from Austin, TX is going to help me out, she's a very nice and helpful person. I might get to adopt two gorgeous ferrets if everything goes well.

I was in the living room with my mother-in-law Angela and her sister Rosa, and I was showing them some videos from youtube on Angela's laptop (one of the lady with 130 cats, lol) and Angela asked me if there was picture there of the ferret i'm getting, and I said yes, so i was looking for it, then Rosa asked the weirdest question

"Does it talk?" then I stared at her thinking "What the hell?", and Angela and me started laughing.

"When have you heard of a ferret talking?" asked Angela.

"Ohhhh!!! I thought you said parrot!" answered Rosa

it's proving kinda difficult though xP you have to do all these things before getting one in order to ensure that they have a happy and healthy life. you have to make sure, before getting a ferret, that a vet in your town can treat them and has experience with them. then you have to ferret proof the room, or if you're gonna let them run around the house, to make sure they don't harm themselves.

i got the vet part down, i called this morning and they do treat ferrets on a vet clinic that is close. i don't know yet whether i'll be adopting a ferret in need of a home or buying one from the pet shop. i'll have to wait to see if Ferrets Across America can help me bring one home, since i can't drive out of town myself and Lauro can't take me because of his work =[

what's a little sad, is that there's a chance i'll have to sell half of my pullip collection to make sure that my ferret has what he needs (their cages are expensive, lol) and to pay for their first vet visit and shots. after that i'll start a savings account for when they need something in the future.

today was my last day at school. I got my research paper back and I got an A in it =] I wrote about medical malpractice. And I had to write a final paper in class, on that one I wrote about ferrets because i've been reading a lot about them (i'm planning on getting one) and it was easy to remeber it, lol. I think i might pass the class with either a B+ or an A, which is incredible considering I hate writing. I have two weeks off before Fall semester starts. I'm taking a break from english though, I'll only be taking Calculus II and Texas Government.

I just saw the movie, it was cool. I was left at the end expecting a little more, but it was funny and I loved it none the less. I won't say more, so I don't ruin the movie for those who still haven't seen it.

I finally finished my English class, yay! I just need to go on Monday and Tuesday to do the final and I'm done, I have like two weeks of freedom before fall semester starts. It was hell having to write a one page journal everyday, including weekends, it was especially hard when I hadn't done anything to write about, I usually ended up writing like a summary of a movie I'd seen or a book I had read, lol.
