You'd think that with a day off I'd get to have some fun, eh? Nope, boy are you wrong. I left the house once today. I woke up at around 8:30-ish? wondering why my mother hadn't woken me up. I proceeded to the bathroom to start my morning ritual. I completed it and went on to the closet in my still obviously unawake state (you'll know why in a sec) thinking that I had very little time to get to school. Then my mother's phone rings.

"Hello? Oh, hi! Yeah...." She goes on to say, "You have to go to work today? No work today, they even said it on the radio! You do? Oh..." Then it hits me. Today's date was November 7th, 2006--ELECTION DAY! I hit my head against the closet door several times, berating myself idiot, idiot, IDIOT I have never forgotten a day when there is no school. Because that was something to celebrate.

Now I'm at my grandmother's house. Again. Because my mother probably won't go home tonight and she doesn't want to leave me all alone. ^{Heck, I've been home alone for hours at a time. Surely, ONE measly night won't end in the renactments of Home Alone 1, 2, &3.} She's going to one of the candidates' parties.

I watched "Singin' in the Rain" yesterday! Or at least most of it. It was on channel Thirteen and I was having so much fun watching it, but my mother was being a meanie. She dragged me out the door right before the last few scenes or so.

Ah, I love that movie/musical! Well, i love all the classics--I'm a true romantic. Old buildings, old movies, the olden times--I love it all.

Well, in honor of one of the best movies EVER, there are a few musical clips in my stickam player. I am sad to say they are only clips--about 30 seconds each--that will leave you wanting more. Enjoy!

Anyway, I came in late today so all the computers were taken. Someone just got off and now I have less than ten minutes for NuTang. Satan bless.

Welp, tomorrow is election day--what shall I do? I'm thinking of going to Coney Island again...a.k.a the beach/city amusement park. Make a sand castle, try to hit the ticket jackpot for a stuffed animal, and ride the Cyclone. An old old wooden roller coaster. Which I've only ridden once. And is also the first 'high' roller coaster I've ever been on. The tiny baby one I rode in Tokyo and Skull Mountain don't count.
