Collectiveness Should Be man's Mission Saturday. 5.24.08 3:37 pm We have come a long way. Too far from the verdant splendour of life. And as if we are all lost in the wilderness of life - the life that endows us with the bounty of pain and pleasure, the summum bonum of our being and essence. We have exhausted all our energy in quest of more and more extravaganza of nothingness. And our beings are paying dearly and bearing the brunt of this catastrophic predicament. Is there no light at the end of the tunnel? Yes, there is light if we are intent on discovering it through hardships and through struggling for getting at the truth. Truth is the essence of sparkling light. A spark of truth can be in a small measure a prairie fire to bring about a sea change in our lives so far as the joy and beauty of life are concerned. Truth is omnipotent, omniscient and ubiquitously existent but always wrapped in mystery. We have to demystify it exploring all its essences to a vantage point so that we can get hold of our creative faculties in a meaningful mission. This missionary zeal is what is our life should be up to. We have come a long way but we have reached nowhere, we have not achieved anything worthwhile. The time has come to pause for a while to think and act. Think whether we have achieved anything worthwhile. Think why there is so much suffering. Why so much injustice? So much inequality and disparity among the people? Why so much moral degradation? Why so much wastage of natural resources? There are so many why-s and wherefore-s to look back. And we will look back to look farther forward. With that view in mind, we will talk. We will talk anything and everything under the sun. From anthropology to zoology, from anthem to zither. We will be the message board of our own collective mind. We will think intelligently and sensibly. We will talk intelligently and sensibly. And we will act accordingly. We all think but we really do not know how to think creatively and constructively. We will ask all questions and we will ask for answers. We will think and act collectively and that is what should be the mission of our lives. Comment! Where is your home, my child? Who combs your unruly hair? Who whispers lullaby in your ear? I know, my child, you are the child of yesterday To-morrow des not bring you love and care Nobody lifts his finger to allay your fear. O, my fearless child, ride and ride Covering a long distance of life Some day you will reach the world of fortune. Riding with the shadow You will hold aloft your dream and hope You will rain on a cloudless night Ay your feet the whole world will dance And like a white swan you will swim Crossing all frontiers of hope and despair. But Darwin's theory of evolution says that human behaviour has no role to play in the process of 'natural selection'. 'Natural Selection' is a Darwinian patented norm that places nature as one stop forward to mould the pattern of our living system. Mutation does spontaneously occur in the hereditary substance 'genome' and that occurs per chance only. That is to say that changes in conformity with the Natural Selection are merely fortuitous, it is abrupt and chancy. The individual cannot influence the hereditary treasure transmitted through the faculty of the parents and neither it has any influence on the hereditary treasure it bequeaths to its offspring. At the same time it is to be keenly noted that acquired traits are not inherited properties. Julian Huxley has started from where Darwin has left. He extended Darwin's theory by accepting the fact that a change of behaviour per se does not get fixed genetically by way of intrusion into the chromosome structure but nonetheless it acts on the process of natural selection. Behaviour mechanism is a continual process and it is not genetically determined. An individual might have a clever hand but until and unless he uses it objectively, he cannot posses a clever hand. He can do anything by using his clever hand. So to say, a good mutation has the tendency to induce the selection of its complementary ones and to make them viable by natural selection. Comment! Gods have shed their daily tears They have prayed their last prayers They have worshipped the lesser mortals All souls have finished their rituals As if it is time to call it a day As if it is turning point into the ages oblivious of antiquity Human souls are upholding the glory of times Without knowing the ultimate consequences The dark river has flowed into the ocean And all birds have returned to their nests. Joy and sorrow never violate the rules of your perfumed world. When agony strikes at the heart of your desires, you plunge into your holy dip. You do not know evenly whether you attain salvation. But you rest assured as ever. You drink the cup of nectar and you live long, as long as your desires take you home in a holy grail of your world. In your world, there is no rain or sunshine. There is no time and space. It is timeless, its space is spread over volcanic distance. You walk and walk, you sail across with your white ship that carries you to your desired frontier where neither fish nor fowl swim across your desired dream. You think not, you dream not. It is like a sojourn into a untreaded zone. When the siren call comes, you too take your breath away. But you die not, you live not. You just change your guise. You are disguised in your own veil. The veil is not all too clear to the confused eyes. The veil removes all disguises from your swift desires. It is somber feeling that you cherish and that is what makes all the difference. The earthly creatures see you as ca creature from the other world where desires never stoke the fire But still you rest assured as ever. Comment! If you love me love on the path of your love Your love should meet the path of my love. Love never walks on the untrodden path Love never bends like your whims It is your whim that betrays you It is your innocence that knows not what love is. When you put yourself into the cauldron of love Love burns you to the smouldering sanity It will sail you across the farther land on the untrodden path You will touch at its feet when you choose to love. The proud possession of your love is your soul Your soul never trails behind your destiny It is your destiny that will show you the path And you can swim along the storms of love Love only shows you the right path of humanity.
