Tambun during the day~ Fisherman boat~

Dear Diary,


After Qing Ming, my dad suggested we had lunch over Tambun, which they served cheap and yummy delicious seafood (however, the shop that we frequent only open at 3pm, so we go to the neighbour.... which the foods turned out bad haha and SLOW!!!!) anyway.. just some pictures taken during the lunch... i never see this b4 because everytime we went for dinner, and was too dark for me to see or snap pictures...

My Self-Made Pasta Sauce tasted so good... :D

Dear Diary,


Was drooling over Oprah Winfrey Talk show on eating healty (vegan) so i decided to make my own version of pasta since i been eating tomatoes almost everyday (i have a lot of supply)

The Fresh Tomato Pasta Sauce~ (enough for 2)
Recipe:-

1 tbsp of Olive Oil
10 Fresh Red Tomatoes (cut into 8) (not too big)
1 Clove of Garlic (finely Chopped)
1 Onion (diced)
1 Carrot (cut into thin round shape)
For taste (Thyme, Oregano, Black Pepper, Salt and Sugar) - I dont have basil so i skip it

Steps:-
1. Heat the olive oil & stir fry the garlic & onion until slight golden bronw & set aside.

2. Blend or use food processor to puree the fresh tomatoes .
P.s: if you do not like the hard texture from the skin, you can remove the tomatoes' skin b4 blending it. To remove the skin, you need to boil the water and dump in the tomatoes for 45s and switch the tomatoes to icy cold water. (then peel it)

3. Pour in the fresh tomatoes pureee, carrot and Step 1 in saucepan & simmer it with low fire. Here you can add in thyme, oregano, salt, black pepper and sugar to taste. If is too sour add in more sugar.

4. Cook until it no longer soupy & is ready to serve.

Tips: to make ur pasta taste nicer instead of look nicer, cook ur pasta with the sauce for few minutes, allowing the pasta to absorb the sauce into it.

P.s: i dont have cheese and i dont fancy cheese, and of course you can add in cheese for creamy texture~

Almond Macaroon (from very old book recipe)

Dear Diary,


It been zillion years I didnt bake... yesterday, with permission, i tried baking Macaroon (muahah I dont even know what it that but is easy n SIMPLE!) so... of me go...

Ingredients:
1: 225g of Ground Almond (will taste nicer if slighty roaster - well is not in the book instruction but... i think it will taste nicer instead of raw almond touches on ur tongue later)

2. 225g of castor sugar (trust me you wanted to reduce to 50g, which i reduced to 125g and is still so sweet!)

3. 4 egg white size C (size 3)

Method:
1. Put in the Ground Almond, Castor Sugar and unbeaten egg white into a big bowl and star stirring until it mixed well :D

2. Use rice paper (alternative to this is clean plastic bag) and make it into a cone, cut a small hold and pump the mixture into the baking plate (grease it with margerin or butter, or u can replace it with edible rice paper - yes edible plz, if not the end product will stick on the paper) Note: there were no butter used hence it will stick on the plate.

3. Heat up the oven 160 C or 325 F, bake the macaroon for 15min to 20min until it turn slight golden brown~.

4. let it cool on the rack and served. :D




My 1st trial of Macaroon... muaha... the smell of Almond is oishii... (confess! my dog keep chasing me for more)

Red Bean Konnyaku Jelly (Azuki Konnyaku)~

Dear Diary,


I have left over konnyaku jelly powder due to my stupidity (thats y my orange n chocolate konnyaku jelly failed miserably - did not pour all the powder so my jelly was so soft and texture was so weird.)

Since it been there for so long, i decided to use the left over to make Red Bean Konnyaku~ is pretty easy tho, but 1st you have to cook your Red Bean.

Ingridient:
Red Bean
Sugar
Pandan Leaf
Water

Soften Red Bean
Konnyaku Powder
Sugar
Water (use red bean water~)

Method:
1. Use slow pot to cook the Red Bean over night until it became soft~
2. (dont blend the Red Bean cause it hardly hold when it became jelly)
3. Place the red bean in your mold and set aside
4. Mix the sugar and konnyaku powder together, and pour into the water (red bean water) and bring in to boil. Set aside and continue stir for 5 minutes or until the bubble dissappear.
5. Pour the jelly mixture into the mold, let it cool before keeping it in the refrigerator.
6. Taste good when it is serve in cold. :D

Oh and is very good for health too :D

Too bad i just cant eat it, because im allergic to the caffeine in the chocolate too! At 1st i cant take coffee, then i cant take tea... SIGH! but i seriously wanted to have a bite on chocolate now... but i promise myself only do so after 1 month, i am now monitoring my breathing problem.. gosh... i wish i can eat chocolate again....

Fresh spicy Tomatoes Spaghetti

Dear Diary,


It been awhile i didnt cook something, since im too lazy and dislike to cook.... ill smell like the foods i cooked all the time, but since im getting too lazy, so i decided to fool around in the kitchen.

Today i improved my tomatoes spaghetti recipe, by cooking it with meat, instead of separate it, it make the sauce tastier and sweeter.... YUM~~

Recipe:- (For today recipe) of course you can refer to another recipe here

1 tbsp of Olive Oil
10 Fresh Red Tomatoes (cut into 8) (not too big)
1 Onion (diced)
1 Carrot (cut into thin round shape)
For taste (Garic Powder, Thyme, Oregano, Black Pepper, Pure Chili Powder, Salt and Sugar) - I dont have basil so i skip it
100g finely chopped meat marinate with black pepper, salt, thyme, oregano (pork, chicken, turkey or whatver meat u prefer, but not seafood)

Steps:-
1. Heat the olive oil & stir fry the onion until slight golden brown & set aside.

2. Heat the olive oil & stir fry the meat until cooked.

3. Blend or use food processor to puree the fresh tomatoes .
P.s: if you do not like the hard texture from the skin, you can remove the tomatoes' skin b4 blending it. To remove the skin, you need to boil the water and dump in the tomatoes for 45s and switch the tomatoes to icy cold water. (then peel it)
