Not Quite Halfway, But Close Enough!!!
Friday, March 23, 2007
So this is an exciting weekend that's coming up. Ed and I are reaching the halfway point in this deployment in a few days, and hopefully it will be his last deployment so I never have to deal with this again. (Maybe I will, maybe I won't, I don't know. But I will always pray that I don't ever have to do this again 'cause it's really not fun..) Esther is also coming home today! . We're going to hang out tomorrow and share some pictures from Bok Towers (mine) and Costa Rica (hers). I'm trying to get my dad to scan the ones from Bok Towers so I can upload them on here but so far no luck. There's two really nice ones that would be perfect with my new layout on here too. Hopefully I can get that done real soon. After we hang out and just basically chat for a bit, we're going to sit on Josiah's Truth Project meeting. I've been to it before and it's really cool, I just can't drive to St. Cloud every Saturday night and again on Sunday mornings. (If I drove myself, that'd be different.) I'm also going to get information about Cornerstone's mission trip. Apparently they've already started having a few meetings for it, says Josiah. I might still get a chance to go though, I don't think they have had *that* many meetings yet. And Esther might come too! Her plans to stay in California over the summer don't seem to be working out the way she'd hoped, but I would love to hang with her all summer in St. Cloud or Ecuador. If I don't go to Ecuador, I'm going to apply for the internship, I guess. (Is there a deadline for that?) I gotta talk to Pastor Karl; I also need to have him redo my reference form for Trinity College cause I lost it when he sent it back to me. This time I'm going to give him a fully addressed envelope so he can send it straight to the school. (That's actually what he was supposed to in the first place, but I forgive him. I didn't give him the envelope like I was originally supposed to, so it's not totally his fault..)

Car?
Wednesday, March 14, 2007
So...apparently my parents have talked about fixing my dad's car (the one that sits in the driveway 24/7), and letting a certain individual drive it. Hm..that's exciting. Now where to get the money to fix it? I'm jobless at the moment and that's going to cost about $400-$500. At least, I think that's what it was last time I asked my dad in July/August. I'm going to ask my mom tonight if she knows an estimate when she comes home from her errands, too. If I had a stupid job, that'd be easy to save up in just a few short weeks. (I could just save up the money and fix the car, but I also need insurance!!) Man, I need a job. I haven't heard anything back from the 6-7 stores I applied at, and I am going crazy here without a darn job.

On the plus side, my legs are starting to look a little toned since I've been walking for about the past month and a half. That's very cool. My stomach is also looking a little more toned too..definitely cool with that. I think I may start working on my arms sometime in the next few weeks. I'm gonna look awesome by the time Ed comes home!! So...I think I've got out everything I wanted to say. Well, almost. But the other stuff is just for Ed, and I want to talk to him about it either online or on the phone cause it's mostly questions.

Pray for the car and that I find a job soon!!!

What is This?!?!?
Tuesday, March 13, 2007
Well, Ed tried to call me again last night..and I missed the call by a SPLIT-SECOND. WTH? So that is now...hm, 9 missed calls in a row in 3-4 days? I'm so not liking my luck right now. . If I miss another call, I'm going to go crazy!!! I miss hearing his voice everyday, I like hearing his voice when I can. This (my luck right now) sucks!!!

At least Esther is coming home today. Hopefully I'll be able to talk to her about it; she always makes me feel better. Anyways, I'm now determined not to miss another phone call-from anybody.

This is a Bit Long..But an Interesting Read!
Wednesday, March 7, 2007
You know what I've recently developed an obsession for? Watching old episodes of 'Are You Afraid of the Dark?' online. I miss that show so much; Snick was awesome! I miss my All That with Lori Beth, Kenan, Josh, Kourtney, Alicia, Kel, etc. I miss Kenan & Kel, it was so much funnier than Drake & Josh. Salute Your Shorts, Pete & Pete, Clarissa Explains It All, etc. Man, TV has gones downhill. Woah---wait. Do these kinds of feelings mean I'm getting old?!? .

So anyways...I have seen quite a few of them by now. Or, rather, re-watched a bunch of old episodes, like 'The Tale of the Doll Maker'. (That's the one I'm watching now, actually.) Some of the ones that scared me as a 7-Yr. Old child I'm finding are rather mediocare in the scare aspect. To a 7-Yr. Old child, it's spooky as hell, but to a 20-Yr. old, they're not so scary. A few I still refuse to watch though; the vampire episodes come to mind. Some of the episodes though are still able to give me nightmares after all these years. Not many, but they're spooky enough. I can't believe they actually aired some of these episodes..Anyone else miss the old Nickelodean shows I mentioned earlier? Snick was way better than Nick's Teen Nick they've got now, too. Ah, memory lane...

Went over to Emily's yesterday. That was fun; we went up to Kohl's so that Emily could return/exchange a few dresses for Elisa. We also both applied for jobs up there since they're hiring right now. After Kohl's, we went to Wal-Mart so she could get a few items, though she ended up with a cart full of stuff. When she found her card wasn't in her purse, we had to go back and get it from the house. We picked up Elisa while we were doing that; luckily Wal-Mart didn't put the items all back. Elisa wasn't feeling too good, poor thing. . After Wal-Mart, we picked up Elexis and her friend Sasha as they were walking home from school. Apparently there was a drug bust at Discovery when two girls passed out from getting stoned. 11,12,13 Yr Olds getting stoned? . What is the world coming to? That's an interesting piece of gossip Elexis and Sasha shared in the car trip home.

Once home, or at their house, we put away the groceries, and made some sandwiches for dinner. Well, it was my dinner anyway, I didn't anything else after that sandwich. I watched an episode of Reba and then Elexis turned on Legally Blonde with Reese Witherspoon which I hadn't seen in forever. I never realized it before, but there are a lot of inappropriate scenes in that movie that I felt were unnecessary. Mostly the language used in certain scenes, and a 6-Yr. Old doesn't need to know what they mean. After Legally Blonde, Elexis kept flipping through different movies and shows they had recorded before she finally turned it off so Erica could work on her essay for World History.

Emily also gave me some pictures that we had taken back in January while Ed was here on R&R. They came out really nice; I put a few in my wallet and the others I'm going to get framed and put in my room. She also gave me a map of the Lynx Bus System that Eddie got for me. (Thank You! .)

I got home around 8:30, and watched some Friends on DVD before going to bed. I got up around 1:30 to get online and maybe talk to Ed, but apparently he'd already gotten on and off the computer by the time I got online. I keep missing him lately... I'm hoping to get to the bank today and deposit my tax refund that I got yesterday, and maybe buy myself a new jacket since the one I have no doesn't keep me warm when I'm cold.

Oh, and I found out something I find a little funny. My brother broke his foot! Nobody really knows how though; his foot has been bothering him for about a week now and they finally got it x-rayed at the doctors yesterday. It's broken; that's why it's bothering him! Now he's got to wear this gray boot-like cast thingy mahjig that he hates. What do I find so funny about it? Well, I've gone 20 years without breaking a single bone! And my little brother didn't! So, it's a little mean, but I can't really help it. I feel for him though, I hope it gets better real soon. It's still funny though. The closest I've come to breaking anything is a sprain. Did that falling down the stairs up in the Smokies. Man, I miss the mountains now too..I miss a lot of things right now..

Back to watching more episode of AYAOTD?!! .

Not the Best Interview
Friday, March 2, 2007
So last nights interview could have gone better than it did. It was a group interview, and I am terrible at group interviews. Mostly because I've never really had group interviews before. Express was only the second. (When I applied Kohl's almost a year ago, we had a group interview then too.) It was also a two-part interview. We had the group interview in the back room, where it was the general question and answer, and then we had to actually go out on the floor and sell the products. I felt so much more at ease when I was out on the floor. Saleem, the hiring manager, said the whole interviewing and hiring is about a two week process, depending on how quickly they can get in touch with references, but that everyone did very well on the floor dealing with the customers. Man, I really want this job. It's so easy and I feel so perfect for this position even though I have no previous retail experience. (It's a Sales Associate Position). I really wish the question and answer session would've gone better though. The whole thing took close to two hours last night; longest interview I've ever gone on. I was able to call and talk to Esther afterwards though, and talking to her always makes me feel better. (I know some people who could learn to follow her example..but I won't name names.) I wish she wasn't leaving for Costa Rica tomorrow, but not because I don't want her to go on her missions trip, and experience new things. I feel like I'm going to need someone to talk to in the next few days, and no ones going to be there. At least not for another ten days or so. (The length of Esther's trip.)
I can't wait for this whole thing to be done and over with. Anyway, I'm done blogging for the day; writing and blogging for two and half hours is kind of exhausting. I'm off to surf the net and try to enjoy my time home alone today. (And no, this particular blog entry did not take two and a half hours to write; it took about thirty minutes, if anyone was curious.)

Nerves!!!
Thursday, March 1, 2007
So the interview isn't until 6 PM, yet I'm already started to worry about the what-if's and thinking of everything that could go wrong..I can't wait to get this interview over with!! I really need and want this job, I don't know what I'm going to do if I don't get it, but I will be really upset. Why didn't I call Esther for comfort last night??
