Friday, June 1, 2007 Thursday, May 31, 2007 I stayed after school, waiting for my teacher to finish grading the exams. It's official. I'm not going to Amsterdam. I did good on my exam. It just wasn't enough to bring my grade up. Bummer...
However, I've decided to turn this negative into a positive. I talked with my school counselor about signing up for summer classes. Well, since I'm going anyways, why not take some other classes. I mean I can earn some more credits. Maybe enough to graduate early. She said she wasn't sure if I could do that, but she would find out and call me tomorrow. Hopefully, I can. The sooner I get out of this place the better.
With exams and my brother's latest stunt, I kind of put Eric on the back burner, not on purpose or anything. I tried to call him today and all I got was his voicemail. I called him at home and no one answered. I didn't see him at school today either. I guess he could just be busy, but after we had that chat a couple of weeks ago, I'm worried that it could be something worse. I hope not. I think I'll go over to his house later tonight, that is if I don't talk to him on the phone first.

Something Fishy is Going on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 I had this huge fight with my brother after school. I was telling him he needed step up and take responsibility for his actions and so on. He said something sounded a bit interesting: "I don't have to worry about taking 'responsibility' of her. I don't have to worry about her at all. I don't even have to see her fat ass anymore."
Either that means he dumped her and doesn't want anything to do with her or they are planning on doing what I thought they might do. Nicole might have some company soon. She may have already made the trip. No one saw her at school today.
Speaking of Nicole, I received a postcard and a letter from her today. It seems that they are monitoring her mail. Somehow, she was able smuggle out a letter. One that didn't read "Having fun. Wish you were here". I can tell she is scared there. She said she made a few friends which is helping her through this, but she rather be home. I can't blame her. I wish there was a way I can send her a letter and tell her all that's being going on here, but I'm afraid they'll never let her read it. I might send one anyways and pray it gets to her.

I talked to my government/economics teacher today and well, I haven't done so well this year in her class. If I don't get an A on her exam, I will be spending the next couple of months in summer school. Just have to wait and see what happens on Thursday.
I haven't had a chance to talk to my brother's (ex)girlfriend yet. Her parents are keeping her pretty isolated right now. I feel so bad for her. I even feel sorry for my ignorant brother who said this in regards to the situation: "It's not my problem."
Why do people act like this? Seriously, tell me why. It's like as soon as some people get two bucks in their pocket, they start acting like they are better than everyone else. Any kind of conflict and the whole world is going to come crashing down. Oh and it's never their fault. People are just out to get them. They never do anything wrong.
There are times that you just want to walk up to them and slap or shake them. Knock some sense into them. Show them that money doesn't make you a better person.
Too bad that'll never happen....

Monday, May 28, 2007 I totally agree with you all. I think my brother should step up and take responsibility for his actions. If it weren't for my ignorant parents, he probably would be doing that right now. My mom had the audacity to tell my aunt to take him instead of me on the Amsterdam trip. She wanted to get him out of the country "just in case".
My parents had a little meeting with her parents at out house and lets just say they weren't too thrilled with my mom's plan either not that I could blame them. Actually they are talking about giving the kid up for adoption. That might be the best solution for all of this. Of course, my mom said they would only agree to that if their daughter went away for awhile. You know like Nicole did.
It's amazing how self-absorbed people are. This poor girl is going to have to carry and deliver this child and then give it away with the possibility of never seeing it again and all they can think about is themselves. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the world I'm growing up in. Don't you love it?
The last day of school is on Thursday and I have exams all this week. So, I may not be posting as much as I usually do. Have a great Memorial Day.

Sunday, May 27, 2007 I know some of you are anxious to find out my decision on the Amsterdam situation, but my brother unloaded the biggest bomb on my parents today. At the age of 14, he officially got his girlfriend, who is also 14, pregnant. Yeah that's right...pregnant.
Keep in mind, my parents so overreacted when I broke up with the most popular guy in school. So, I thought they were going to go nuclear after finding this out. Unfortunately, that is what I get for thinking.
Sure, they were a bit disappointed, but they are already devising a plan to keep him out of it. Meaning, they will pay for their share of the medical bills. Other than that, the girl is left with the responsibility. I hate guys like that. Some acknowledge their share in the mistake but refuse to take part in the solution. Trust me. My brother is not fighting my parents on this issue and he's not the type to keep quiet.
