quotes.
"Pain, you just have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers. You just breath deep and wait for it to subside. Most of the time pain can be managed, but sometimes the pain gets you where you least expect it. Hits way below the belt and doesn't let up. Pain, you just have to fight through, because the truth is you can't outrun it and life always makes more."

"Forgive and forget. That's what they say. It's good advice, but it's not very practical. When someone hurts us, we want to hurt them back. When someone wrongs us, we want to be right. Without forgiveness, old scores are never settled, old wombs never heal, and the most we can hope for is that one day we'll be lucky enough to forget."

quan da ry |ˈkwnd(ə)rē|
noun ( pl. -ries)
a state of perplexity or uncertainty over what to do in a difficult situation

So recent events have got me thinking a lot about the choices I've made. Turns out, who knew doing the right thing would still make you feel like you were wrong in so many ways. But in honesty, I wouldn't have taken anything back. I'm glad I handled the situation as I did and I wouldn't have done it any different. So even if it turns out that I'll be "bad guy" in someone else's story, then so be it. I know the truth and so do the people I care about and that's all that matters. Others are just a waste of time. You may have gotten apologies, but you don't deserve one bit of it. Only those who are truly noble can admit when they're wrong, others simply lie their asses off. You swear people won't be able to tell, but they do. It's hard, and you'll never be able to understand why people do the things they do and how they can carry it upon their shoulders like nothing. I'm just done and over it and learning from mine and other people's mistakes. I just hope karma comes into play...

Philippines.

So I'm going to summarize my trip to the Philippines in this entry. Haha. I left to the Philippines on June 22 and we got to Manila on the 24nd. The plane ride felt like forever. I found it hard to get comfortable on a 16 hour flight. Anyway, after going through immigration and all that, my family and I hopped on connecting flight to Kalibo. The typhoon that was in the Philippines had just left the day before we had arrived so we were lucky. We got to see all the damage that Typhoon Frank had done. Kalibo was one of the places it hit hard. My 2 uncles and 2 cousins picked us up. Nope we weren't done traveling yet. We had another 2 hour drive to my mom's hometown, Roxas City. The ride felt like forever. Poles and debris in the middle of the roads, houses torn apart, flooded neighborhoods. It was really heartbreaking. We finally got to my grandma's house, where we stayed at for about 3 weeks. I've missed my grandma so much.

Anyway we arrived there with no electricity, but luckily the electricity started working that night. We went through an entire week with no cable or telephone, but that didn't bother me much. I spent most of my time in the house or sight seeing around the city. I bonded with my cousins which is always nice. I spent 2 days in Iloilo at my uncle's house, which is 3 hours away from Roxas City. I went to a bunch of bars/clubs that my cousins took me to. Karaoke is very very popular over there. A bunch of other times were spent at the beach hanging and having dinner.

My grandma's sister on the other hand had been really sick from ovarian cancer and she passed away during our stay. So our last week in Roxas City was spent with my entire family at her viewings playing mahjong, cards, and eating plenty of food then she had her funeral on Sunday, July 13. Rest in peace, Lola Naning. It was big party, well I shouldn't say party, more of a get-together.

On the 15th of July, my family and I left to Manila. It was really hard for me to leave my grandma. I still miss her. ): and all of my relatives too of course. Our flight from Roxas to Manila was at 7AM but the flight was only 45 minutes long. We got to Manila along with my Tito Mar, Manang Grace, and Tita Mel. Then drove an hour to Cavite, my dad's hometown. We stayed the night and the next day went back to Manila and stayed for three days. July 18 was my dad's birthday so we spent the day in Manila and at night time went back to Cavite so he could also spend it with his sister and friends. In Manila I got to go to a bunch of malls like, Mall of Asia, Trinoma, and other ones I can't remember. So much shopping and a lot of sight-seeing. Haha. I also went to two "comedy bars" over there. They were called Zirkoh and Punchline, they weren't too bad.

We left Philippines on July 20th. For some reason I slept a lot on this flight so it seemed like a breeze. We got to LAX around 9:30 and I didn't back home till 10:30. I had super bad jet lag. It took me a week to adjust, but now my sleeping pattern is back to normal. (: It felt like nothing has changed since I got back, like I had never left in the first place. Oh well. Now it's time to go back to work and school and not to mention that I'm completely broke! ):

But I must make the most of the rest of this summer. My friend Angela is in the Philippines now, and Daniel is back from Iraq but leaving again in a couple of days. I'm just trying to catch up with people. I have been gone for a month. Haha. But yeah, this entry is long enough. I'll end it right here. Bye!
