Headache Causes Randomisity
The subject is important here. My head isn't throbbing luckily, but it does hurt a good bit. It'll probably make me jump from point-to-point. I won't do much in the way of segues between points. This entry will be more of a list than my normal paragraphical style entry.
Well we didn't get AS screwed on rent for October as I thought we would. The entire story is long and confusing but somehow our rent check for October (paid at the beginning of the month) had bounced and it go to the point where they were going to threaten legal action...which they will do if you go a month without paying. Which we hadn't...it'd been three weeks...and that's because we didn't know that the payment hadn't gone through. A slightly lucky break or two and we're not current and not too far in the hole and it looks like we SHOULD be good for next month's rent after next week's paychecks.
I did inform them that our dishwasher isn't working. Thea heat cycle works fine but no water is ever put into the dishwasher so at the end of the cycle everything is very hot. The smell of plastic became overwhelming due to the heat...without water to aborb the heat it is all soaked up by the plastic which gets it oh so close to the melting point, but not quite. So hopefully they'll be up here soon to fix it so that we can use it again.
Since it's almost Halloween there are some cable movie stations that are showing only horror movies for two weeks or so. Currently one of those channels is on and I am "watching" Friday the 13th 2. Oh God is this horrible. I was wondering if it was only because they didn't want too high a shock value back in the 80's when they came out..but that can't be it because Nightmare of Elm Street certainly had a good deal of gore in it. Stupid camera cutaways and cut scenes. Such as the scene were a couple are making love. You see the killer's torso. You see her face and that she sees the killer. You see her face for a second as apparently a spade goes through her lover, herself and the bed itself. But the shot cuts immediately away to the underside of the bed with a little bit of blood coming off of the spade. And then suddenly the shot goes black and quickly cuts to another scene somehwere else with other people. LAME. Now I am suffering through what's possible the very worst cinematic fight scene ever. I guess what really gets me is that the first half of the movie they show only the legs of "the killer". And the second half they show him running around all retarded-like with a white burlap potato sack looking thing over his head. Sure, it's Jason Voorhees, but it looks stupid as all hell. And why is it that no one ever comes across the bodies of his dead victims until they are being chased by him? There are no bodies..and then...voila!..suddenly they are falling out of all of the closets which I am sure that they had to have gone in not too long ago. Sorry...but this movie, overall, is incredibly weak. Towards the end of the movie and I am feeling much pity for how "Jason" is flopping around. GAH!
But tonight the are showing all three The Exorcist's which is awesome although I probably won't watch them..well maybe the first one. I'll tell ya...I saw this when I was much younger and really couldn't remember much about it. And then I saw it perhaps two years ago with Chad. And it affected me like I wouldn't have believed that it would. It left such a creepy feeling...that things that were totally unrelated to anything in the movie were creeping me out. Such as: I drove Chad home and had to drive home myself. Well I walked him up to the door to help him carry some of the stuff that he'd brought to my house. That house wasn't completely isolated but there weren't many houses around and you couldn't see any signs of any of the neighboring houses. But the thick, dark woods began about 300, or so, feet behind the house. It was so dark! I practically ran around my car to the driver's side door, jumped into it and both slammed the door shut and locked it in the very same motion. Then I felt very freaked out the entire ride home even though there was nothing else "supernatural" feeling about the night itself. Now THAT is a well-made film to create that kind of continuing residual effect.
Well I took something for my head and am working on The
mercury-system so I'll be going. But I have received my guitar amp head and cabinet and may post pictures of them in my next entry..which very well might be later tonight!

So I got through the work day, but barely. I spent 5 hours of my shift carrying 70-85 pound boxes of ready-to-be-assembled cabinets up and down a ladder. I am trying to help the store be ready for its yearly storewide inventory. I am so sore and hurt all over.
And then I come home to find Dan (he wants to sing for my band. well he got off to a very bad start by getting drunk and trying to hump my girlfriend on the dancefloor at our most recent show). Which was strike one on Chad for the night. And there they are playing MY PlayStation2, on my 37" television...using plenty of electricity that he currently isn't helping to pay because he just started his new job after getting fired from the same position that I hold but at another store. And then he lost his PDA (we have to use a PDA that the company still owns and we have to hand in after no longer working for them for whatever reason). So they hold their last paycheck until they receive the PDA. He lost on it his way to handing it in to our boss. They aren't going to give him his last paycheck which contained one week and one day's pay. $450. He could have covered what he pays us for two weeks and still had $250 for food and transportation until he gets pay checks from his new job. But no. We had trouble paying before and now have even more trouble paying rent and electricity (etc...). And then he eats our food. And now I had to loan him $10 yesterday and now another $10 tonight to get to and from work. And he has the gall...nay..the AUDACITY to pull such a thing.
And then there was an envelope when I got home from work. It was from the rental office. Apparently we were $100 short on our rent check somehow. The band says that they were charging us $100 for the amount we were short plus a $35 fee because apparently they covered it. Well our apartments are charging us the 10% fee for being late (which is another $95) plus a $25 fee for the check bouncing. This makes no sense as the bank says that they are charging us for covering the difference on the check that we had written for rent. So Jenn is going to make some calls when she gets back. But...don't know how we're going to pay this month's rent in 6 days...let alone what we apparently owe the bank and the apartments.
Well I am going to go soak in a bathtub full of acid.
Goodnight
