Relatives <3
Sunday, July 27, 2008
Tomorrow, we are going to the SFO airport to pick up one of my cousins from Hong Kong. She's going to be staying with us for two weeks (I think), and one of our aunts (not her mom) is coming later on. My cousin is two years younger than me (so 15) and I haven't seen her in like 2 or 3 years so I'm excited to see her. We don't really have a lot planned for her to do, though. Hopefully she doesn't get extremely bored.

Later on, we're going to be going to San Diego until the 24th, which is one day before school starts. I'm not really sure what we're going to do there, but we're going with one of my uncles, his wife, and two children. They are my favorite younger cousins so I'm extremely excited to see them.

I didn't wake up until like 11am roday. We went to have lunch and then went furniture shopping because my parents wanted a new bed frame and mattress. So we went to this furniture that originally said it was closing, but now they're just having a regular sale. My parents found a set that they liked, but they were undecided, so we went to Wal-Mart. After that, we went to Sleep Train. There was this one bed that I really liked, and so did my parents. But it was like $2000 dollars more expensive than the one at the other store so my parents decided not to get it. We went to Ranch 99 to buy groceries afterwards, and then we went back to the other furniture store.

When we got home, I kind of just laid on the sofa and listened to music. It's been almost 5 hours since dinner ended and I still haven't started on the driving program... Whoops. Lol. And I also haven't started making a new layout for this weblog. I have somewhat of an idea, but I'm just lazy.

Car Insurance + Partial Rant
Saturday, July 26, 2008
Tomorrow is Sunday but it's not really exciting. There's this Smart Teen Driver or whatever program thing that I have to spend the entire day doing. It's offered by AAA and if you pass the test, you get 20% off of your insurance. Yay... But it looks really boring. In one of the booklets, it saids that it should take around 4 weeks to finish... So not fun! Ahh!! But it's been sitting in a plastic bag in my room for almost a month now, and if I don't finish it soon, my parents are going to get mad at me. So now I have no choice but to try and finish it tomorrow.

So today we went to Berkeley for the ATDP picnic, which was boring. None of the people in my class went, mainly just younger kids and their parents. My brother kept dropping food on the grass, which was very annoying. There was also bees around and when a bee was flying around his food, he kind of threw his plate and spilled chips. He refused to pick it up so my mom did it for him in the end. My mom is just stupid because she does everything for him. He's almost ten but she treats him like a baby. He has a horrible attitude, is extremely lazy, and pretends that he knows everything (not just my own opinion. my dad agrees on all three while my mom agrees with the last two). The worst part is that I'm going to have to deal with him a lot longer than my parents. Uh. Whatever.

Finally, Summer Can Begin!
Friday, July 25, 2008
So today was my PreCalc final, which I didn't really study for. But oh well. My mom didn't wake me up until like 10:10am, when I'm supposed to get up at 10am. So I was worried that might miss the BART and not have enough time to take the final. But luckily, I made it on time.

As I was walking up the stairs to the upper platform, I saw Micheal. He hadn't studied at all, so we spent like 10 minutes studying on the BART before we had to switch trains. We got to Berkeley around 40 minutes early, like always, so we went to get gelato. I got kiwi and mango and it was like amazing. I've only been to that place once before with my mom, and they have these really cute plastic cups.

So anyways, after that, we started walking towards Tolman Hall (because that's where our class is). And while I was finishing the last of my mango, I accidentally dropped part of it on the floor. And since we were walking through this wood-ish part of Berkeley, I felt kind of bad. But oh well.

When we got to our classroom, most of our class was already sitting outside (because other people usually use the classroom before our class). Stephanie was like worrying about the final, and since she's like the smartest student, it made me start to worry too. But Spencer (our TA) was reading his newspaper and then began reading the horoscope section. Apparently, I'm really generous. And I guess I am, because while I was adding more money to my BART ticket (for the LAST time!), some girl came up to me and asked if I could spare a dollar. So I just gave her one without thinking, which is kind of stupid after I had thought about it for a little while. Lol.

Our final was 3 hours long. We had the no calculator part, a 20 minute break, and then the calculator allowed part. Mr. Henri brought bagels and soda for us, and so of course I went and go a bagel because I tend to like nibble on stuff when I'm nervous. Stephanie was eating a blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese, so I wanted to try the blueberry cream cheese as well... And I think it's kind of nasty. Lol. But at least now I know to never buy blueberry cream cheese at Safeway.

At the very end of class, we were shown our grades for the first part of the test and I only got like an 88.9% on it. That makes me really nervous for the second part because I thought I did really well on the first part. I really hope that I end up getting an "A-" in the class, at least, or I'm going to be very upset at myself. Currently, I only have an 87% in the class mainly because I didn't do a 50 point homework assignment. Hopefully my final grade will bring it up.

But now my summer class is over and I can actually enjoy my summer until like the 25th. Yay! We're going back to Berkeley tomorrow because they have this family picnic for ATDP students. Afterwards, we're (my mom, brother, and I) are planning on going shopping, ordering my birthday cake from Baskin Robbins (I'm not having a party), and then going to Fremont for my ice skating lesson. We had gone to Baskin Robbins before to order my cake, but then I got made at my mom over something and left the store. I originally told her that I was going to order it myself, but I don't want to spend any more money so I'm letting her order it.

Onine Shopping
Thursday, July 24, 2008
For ice skating, there is an off-ice training device called a spinner. I've had a metal one for almost a year, but I've always wanted a plastic one. So I finally got my mom to let me get one and I ordered it only near the middle ofJune. I was really excited to get it and he website said that it would take about 6 to 12 days. But they didn't even process it until like one and a half weeks later and didn't ship it until the 10th. Luckily, I received it today. The annoying thing is that if it had arrived yesturday, or even a few hours earlier, I would have been able to try it. now I have to wait until Saturday because I don't want to ruin the bottom on our tiling or on the cement. That's okay, though, because I'm still really excited.

Do you guys ever shop online? I browse stores, but I don't really buy things there. My rule is that I don't buy things that I have to try on, unless I really want/need it.
