Music Smashing Pumpkins A Perfect Circle Foo Fighters Pink Floyd RHCP Entertaining Stuff KillFrog - if you liked happy tree friends, you might like this too. Happy Tree Friends - violence at its best Army Tank - waiting for its return Rock Paper Saddam - as the name suggests Weapons of Mass Destruction - self explanatory World Rally Championships | What's wrong with the music? Wednesday. 9.19.07 8:25 pm seriously, it's either i'm feeling the generation gap thingy, or that music these days just seems like crap (to me at least). Had the local radio 987 on while driving today and they were playing this song that went like "take off all your clothes, ........ , have fun" while the next song (by fergie) went like "where you get your hot body from, .....got it from my momma,... sexy sexy blah blah blah" And these songs just went on and on, repeating the same lines in an almost trance like manner! I really wondered at that point whether all this were some kind of sublimal conditioning set forth to entice us to procreate and save the country's decreasing birth rate?! An occasional song like that is fine by me, but to have it this often and with such repetition just puts me off. Does it mean that the performers these days don't get as much as before and resort to direct persuasion and almost downright begging? Seems to me performers of the yesteryear like guns & roses, smashing pumpkins, beatles, the eagles also made great music without so many explicit references, not to mention their share of fun as well. Really don't know what's going on with the music industry these days, just know that i'm losing touch with it more and more. Hope there'll be more songs to inspire and motivate rather than teaching our young ones bad things. Comment! Mythbusters Thursday, July 26, 2007 Seriously, i felt a little guilty for just putting up man vs wild yesterday that i forgot to mention my all time fav discovery channel show the mythbusters!!! Explosions, stuff getting broken and flammable materials always seem to bring out the boy in me (big grin). If there was a job that i could love doing, i think that would pretty much be it, cept those guys are really smart!! Go grant imahara lol! found this episode from youtube that was originally posted on the discovery mythbusters website where they teamed up for a special with this ask a ninja dude from youtube, not very factual but very plausible! http://shopping.discovery.com/product-60497.html http://shopping.discovery.com/product-60491.html which do u think looks nicer for me? it's like 20bucks US minus shipping, which probably will cost around 40 by the time it gets to me, but its so nice!!! lol Comment! (15) | Recommend! Man Vs Wild!!! Wednesday, July 25, 2007 watched like 3 episodes so far and loved every one of them! Although some say it's fake and all, i really like it for the entertainment value and of course some nifty tips it provides from time to time. There's also one where he drinks his own piss, but don't want to post it up cos i find it kinda disturbing myself lol! Comment! (8) | Recommend! Oh dear oh dear Tuesday, July 24, 2007 oh gosh, exam's in 3 days time and i've hardly revised, tried doing the past year paper but already got stumped by the first question! amidst all the renovation clatter and cleaning up to do, already getting a headache, don't talk about concentrating. Thurs is the day that they're gonna be done, that's if everything goes to plan (which rarely does). That'll probably mean shifting back all the furniture again and also massive amount of cleaning up, so last day of revision essentially gone leaving me with tomorrow as my best bet. Crunch time argh!! Comment! (2) | Recommend! exploded Monday, July 23, 2007 oh man, these things just happen. It was the middle of the night and I was the only one still awake when i heard something cracking in the house. I initially thought was the wall cracking up like it has done in the past, nothing too major, just a bit of putty and paint to cover it up will do. However this time, it just seemed to go on and on until my dad also woke up to investigate. It turns out that my flooring laminate popped out, or the tiles under or something popped out due to the weather. When i first stepped onto the 'bubble' i was suddenly afraid as i thought the floor under me has collapsed lol, but oh well, still bad enough. Just finished moving everything out of my living room in preparation for tomorrow's renovation works. Quite a pity actually, the floor is still in good condition, but sadly we have to replace the whole thing, which = minus $$$.. sigh.. hope the two days of works will have less disruption and less cleaning up to do, haven't started studying for my friday paper yet. anyway, here's something i thought was pretty funny and wanted to share with everyone. the singer's pretty good i'd say!
