I was finishing the pictures of dogs from Dog Days and I suddenly got to thinking about something I've been running around in my head for sometime. That is: is Art entirely a creative exercise? Creativity is a product of enginuity and inventiveness, qualities which I don't find myself to be devoid of, but qualities that I wonder if they are integrally linked or if one can work independently from the other. Do my drawings of my dogs necessarily require creativity or are they simply a function of good observational skill. What skills does creativity control?

Creativity is an interesting quality. Do you feel that you are a creative person? Do you feel that creativity can exist outside of artistic talent? Do you think artistic talent and creativity are connected at all? Share your thoughts.

Saturday, I went to a wedding.

Sunday, I went to Laramie Dog Days and sketched people's dogs for money. It was a lot of fun and I saw and drew a lot of dogs.

I drove about 15 hours total.

So I went to a draft party at midnight last night! A draft is a contest where you buy a certain number of packs of cards (in this case three). For each pack you open it, take out a card that you want and pass it (either to the right or the left). You will recieve the pack of the person next to you and you take a card and then continue to pass it along. It's like spoons except you make sure everyone's done before you pass it (that way they don't pile up on anyone). You do this will all the packs, changing the direction with each new pack (right for the first, left for the second, right for the third, for example) until all of the cards have been drafted.

I had a lot of fun. I won some, I lost some but in the end, I got a lot of cards that I wanted from a real nice guy who is there at the shop. He traded practically all the cards I needed for my goat deck for one foil rare that he wanted. It probably was a trade weighted a little in his favor, but since I really didn't want the card that I was trading, it wasn't like I was going to be miserly about it. I'm usually only miserly about cards I like...

We ended up staying up all night! Practically. I got home when the sun was coming up, but I have a record of no all-nighters, so I went to sleep from six until eight which gave me two hours, though I think half of that time I spent coming up with combos in my sleep because when I woke up I went straight to my newly formed deck and starting moving things around. Strangely, I feel more awake then I do most days. Does anyone know why that is? Whenever I get too little sleep, I feel more awake than when I get enough... and I don't crash. Weird hunh?

Tulip is all set up! And I'm getting good at the whole tablet thing. (of course having Winsom the *sniff* tablet PC *sniff* did get me used to it.) In other news... I want to live in that castle in The Little Mermaid. *sigh* And have Eric take me on a romantic cart ride! And DANCE with me!!! That's... so romantic *dissolves into a puddle* I love Disney movies.

So.. I got a new roommate! I got her name in the mail a couple of days ago and I'm starting to email her... I am mostly scared. I want it to work out and so there's a lot on my mind. What is she like? Will she like what I'm like? What should I be like to be liked? What should I be particular about? What should I just let go? Much worries...
