Quotes of the day
Is that a kind of occupational hazard of soul mates ? One's not much without the other ?
- what dreams may come

Can miles truly separate you from friends.... If you want to be with someone you love, aren't you already there? ~Richard Bach

"I'll love you till the ocean is folded and hung up to dry" -W.H Auden

I'll wait so longingly for you to need me... want me... notice me...

"If looks be the reflections of the mind, the thoughts that in that head are not what they used to be- those thoughts which I knew so well." - De Maupassant in "A Family"

Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life.

If you don't laugh at yourself, life is going to seem a lot longer than you want it to.

For you-- John Denver
Just to look in your eyes again
Just to lay in your arms
Just to be the first one always there for you
Just to live in your laughter
Just to sing in your heart
Just to be everyone of your dreams come true

Just to sit by your window
Just to touch in the night
Just to offer a prayer each day for you
Just to long for your kisses
Just to dream of your sighs
Just to know that Id give my life for you
For you for the rest of my life
For you all the best of my life
For you alone, only for you

Just to wake up each morning
Just to you by my side
Just to know that you're never really far away
Just a reason for living
Just to say I adore
Just to know that you’re here in my heart to stay

For you for the rest of my life
For you all the best of my life
For you alone, only for you

Just the words of a love song
Just the beat of my heart
Just the pledge of my life, my love, for you

tough love
Tuesday. 6.1.04 10:52 am
zzZzz... I think I crashed in bed around 8:30 but somehow changed into pjs b/w then and when I woke up at 6am this morning. hehe. So today Senor passed out random spanish stuff, "verb cards" and such from cleaning out his closet of teaching for 39 years! He gave us his address n stuff so we can contact him. I still have a roll of film to use up today. I realized that I really did not take many pictures... Hershey Park Day is tomorrow, but since I am not a fan of rollercoasters (esp that new one that goes from 0-65mph in 2 seconds with a 90degree drop) David A suggested mini golfing. What else... at the same time that I want this all over, I realize how much left there is to do. *sigh*

yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead
yesterday is a promise that you've broken
don't close your eyes, don't close your eyes
this is your life and today is all you've got now
yeah, and today is all you'll ever have
don't close your eyes
this is your life, are you who you want to be
this is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be
when the world was younger and you had everything to lose
-this is your life, switchfoot.

Watching two really good friends go thru the hardest so far time of their life... is not even close to as painful as what they are experiencing. It is at times like this when u realize that there are NO answers, no clear cut reasons or best options. U can't have answers without knowing somethingggg about what u want. Humans are caring and selfless which at times can just add to the problem. It's hard to be honest and not rationalize when u can't stand up for ur own feelings and are worried about the other person. It is at times like this when we realize that it will HURT. There is not even a less painful way for either person because in the end u are facing the same questions and coming to the same answers. ugh. The only thing now that makes any sense and offers enough assurance for me to still say without knowing that it is not true... is the fact that everything will work out how it is supposed to, maybe not how u want it to and maybe not right away, but if u keep ur eyes open, reasons, and answers will present themselves. There r no such things as coincidences.

tom:man, i love my dad, haha... whatta guy
meggyo86 i love my dad too
meggyo86 ppl seem to be saying i love you more but I guess u gotta be careful with that phrase
tom: to a certain extent maybe
meggyo86 with friends tho as long as both of u know that that is how it is meant
tom: agreed
meggyo86 and i do think that if u over use it
meggyo86 like, tell every friend, 'oh i love u' that it's to a lesser extent like having sex with a good friend like... what else do u have left for ur mate
meggyo86 hahah mate!
tom: hahah
meggyo86 er sig other
tom: yeah, i think you're definitely right
meggyo86 *shrug* that's just my view
tom: well i agree with your view
meggyo86 mmhm
tom: i think it's a meaningful thing no matter what
meggyo86 yea definately
tom: on the same token though, hmm
tom:i definitely think it's good to love people without reservation
meggyo86 oh i agreee!
tom: but i think a clear boundry between relationships is definitely a good thing
meggyo86 right
tom: i feel like i have so much of life already figured out and i still have no idea what the hell's going on
tom: haha
meggyo86 i know! i feel the same way a lot of the time
meggyo86 it's like the more u learn the more u realize u don't know
tom: yeah, definitely
meggyo86 one of those double edged swords again hehe
meggyo86 pops up everywhere!
tom: haha damn swords
meggyo86 hahaha i know right.

INDEED. Lessons of the day- double edges swords everywhere, with ever action there is an equal reaction, the more you learn the more u realize u do not know, love is a valuable thing that should be given unconditionally but not casually.

weekend bananza
Monday. 5.31.04 2:08 pm
Whew... so weekendness. Saturday everyone came over to my house for card night. We played very little cards, but went for a walk *sigh*, took pictures and video clips of each other, played tag, did cartwheels and capiera stuff outside, tried to dye Li's hair, discovered that blow drying David W's hair was no good but gelling might work, ate a whole bag of baby peeled carrots, looked at my old yearbooks, found a senitmental note from a friend in 7th grade, "ur one of the smartest, nicest and becoming one of the... uhhhh ok we can skip that part... girls. I don't know what I will do without you next year." wow, did people write like that? I guess so. It's sad that he then turned into a pot head the year I switched schools. Anywhoooo...

So then Sunday I went in for my first day at work. I am working at Court's family hotel, so for about 3 hours each day I am stripping beds, making beds, taking out the trash, vaccuming, windexing/dusting... whew, pretty exhausting. But I can make a mean bed now, hospital tucks and all! I am now compulsively cleaning everything with windex in my house now... like this computer. hehe. So then a few of us went to see Shrek Two after we got out of work. It was hilarious!!!!!!!! So many references and bashes on American culture/movies/singers. I loved Puss n Boots and his damn cute eyes. awww. I think we're gonna go see it again even cuz some dudes missed out on it. *ring* "hey... *whispering* I'm in the movie..." Went to Brookside n met up with some ppl who were playing basketball. 8pm went to Cocoa Grill.. my bill was $2.07, I win! Some jerks didn't have the balls to come in while we were in there bc of previous long winded histories among some of the eaters, so they just stood outside the window near the car until we were done... an hour later. David just thought it was funny. Thennn, we went to Gravity Hill! (and we didn't get lost!) It was sooo cool. A bit anti-climatic with the lack of steepness to the hill, but having ur car move UP the hill when put in neutral was still freakishly awesome. Returned to Hershey n went to Giant. I was getting pretty tired to the point where I was hyper so David, Tom and I started chasing each other with those big bouncy balls down the aisles while Court looked at wedding dress pictures... Then David, as he always does so well, just drove around and killed 2 hours in back roads and such. "I know where I am don't worry... haha not like the last time I said that in VA, this time I am real."

Came home, went to sleep and woke up again early to go to work. This time was just as exhausting, a bit more back crunching, but I got $10 in tips at the end. Now gotta go work on finals that are this week. Last day of normal school is tomorrow.

oh WHAT a night!
Saturday. 5.29.04 11:07 am
omg, omg, omg... where do I start??????! ok, so PROM! Here we go, the night that I was not too fanciful about going, skeptical about plans and people... and thanks to my totally awesome friends and my own live it up style I had an amazingly awesome time!
Hair- cut differently, most ppl liked it. Got dressed, did make up ( which was odd bc I never wear any), shoes, purse, camera... action.
Pictures- walk down steps to meet guys, at Court's, drove with David A(who opened the door to the car like a gentleman) and Lorna to Hershey Hotel (which is beautiful!), David A's mom gave me a kiss even tho I wasn't his date, Rose gardens really quick (park on side of road, jump out, limited to 2 poses... ooops, run back, 'this is what a jeep is for.')
Dinner- linguini with tomato and basil, citrus something er other to clean the palet, filet minon, crab cakes, choc mousse pie with ice cream like thick whipped cream, coffee.
Thenn starts the dancing! I liked it how the DJ played about 5 slow songs sections thru the night, but he played two songs each time back to back so to prolong the experience or allow for more ppl to get one in. The music other wise was a good variety (although there was no ska, which meant no skankin) and we all cut loose and had a blast! I don't think I have ever danced that much or had that much fun at any dance, although homecoming comes in second. In between the dancing, when we got so sweaty we were dripping, we walked around outside. Now this outside is gorgeous! Greek like columned patio type things, flower beds, benches, nice walkways, candles, fountains, lights... it was PERFECT! Now all Erin (another single gal) and I needed were guys on our arms and thennn it would've been magical. oh well.
So other stuff about the dance- I really liked some of the dresses, and everyone cleaned up really well. The guys were totally pimpin it with the white suits and one guy looked really nice in a lavender tux. The guys from that group had hats and canes too. haha. After dinner all the girls went into the bathroom, unzipped their dresses to breath and were like, "I'm so fulll!" But once the dancing started everything was cool. There were hats, leis, morracas, glow necklaces (Monica stuck her red glow sticks down her strapless dress so they glowed u her boobs), Talked to some underclassmen,
"who'd u get leied by?"-dave c
"I dunno...."-me
"u don't know?! U lil skank!" hahaha! That is also the guy that told me that I should ask our physics teacher to slow dance...
Anyways... so I always loved my friends but after last night I reallllly loved some of them. As to complete my night and not allow me to miss out on ANY part of senior prom, Tom slow danced with me, and then David W (whether it was bc he didn't want any more glitter to rub off on him from Li's dress, or bc he is just that awesome) also favored me to two dances. "I'm a horrible dancer so sorry if I keep stepping on ur feet" Thanks guys!
Ending- As the last song came on, of course if ur not on the dance floor it's like... a blah to end on, so as we all traveled back to the cars I walked (without shoes that I took off 15 min into the night after dinner) ahead of everyone else, just embracing the perfect weather and restrained myself from throwing my purse over my shoulder and trying to do a cartwheel in my dress on the grass. Pretty much agreed that many ppl would've liked to see me as his date, oh well, at least I looked pretty (I LOVED my dress!) and had no one to impress.
After festivities- Drove back with Tom/Court, vegged for a bit, Mike, Grant, Zach, Chris and Laine came, then got into the pool... it was already cool outside but luckily the water was heated. Tried some chicken fighting, throwing off the rafts, basketball and then just tried to stay warm. Around 1:30am we got out and watched Mona Lisa Smile for the 3 girls. Guys left around 2:30am and after making sure that they wouldn't pass out driving home, we ourselves fell asleep until 7am when I woke up ready to go! I was sooo awake, but stayed laying down till 8:30, then we got up, ate breakfast and I convinced Court and Laine to drive to the guys' houses, wake them up and give them doughnuts! So first we left a doughnut on Grant's car, woke up Tom with the doorbell, Dropped a doughnut off at David W's with his dad, Woke up David A with the doorbell and then JUMPED onto Chris's bed to wake him up... and ultimately the three of us girls spent 30 minutes lying in the bed,
"u know, it is luck that I just happen to be wearing my sweatshirt from last night, or I would've been in just boxers" -chris
"or IS it lucky?" -laine
"Am I laying on ur ass?" -me
"yes." -chris
"oh ok, it's really comfortable then." -me
Then I came home... and now I am here with my hair completely disheveled, still in pajamas and nothing to do all day till tonight, card night! whew, ok so that was my night and morning.

pictures are at... http://david.daysite.net/gallery/Prom04, then login... user name- prom04 password- senior. refresh the page if it doesn't work the first time.

class of 2004!
Friday. 5.28.04 11:43 am
Ohhhh man! We're graduating! Today we got our caps and gowns, put them on and the tassels (mine is gold for NHS), took the big '04 picture (we're the nub on the 4 hah) signed the page for the yearbook, went out to breakfast at the Soda Jerk with Court, Tom, David A, Dave W, Jake and Mei (sp?) the exchange student. "hey hey, I can open the trunk of my car from here I think... wooh! guys look, omg *eyes bulge* that's exciting!" hahaha. I feel bad for Dave W cuz he wanted to come to our after prom festivities however his house was just offered up for the big party without asking him first... so he's stuck. bummer. Anywho, I'm gonna go lay down cuz I woke up this morning pretty sickly, so yea, have a great day.
