It's the weekend! And my mom's in LA for the weekend, which means I can use her laptop! :) Life is good.. despite the fact that I have a paper due on Monday.. but let's not talk about that! One good thing that made me happy this week.. I got an A- on my last paper, analyzing the silent movie, "Man with a Movie Camera." *pats myself on the back*

Let's get to my "note to self" updates, shall we?
1) MY SISTER -- she's pregnant!! I'm going to be an aunt! She woke everyone up on a Sunday morning, wanting to take all us out for dim sum. After eating, she had all the parents sit together on one side of the table, gave them a card, and had them read it out loud. It said, "Congratulations! You're grandparents!".. or something along those lines. It was so awesome!

2) SPRING QUARTER CLASSES -- CAT3 (Writing sequence), VIS21b (Intro to Asian Art), MUS4 (Intro to Western music), and Math10b (More Calculus..), and maybe COGS1 (Intro to Cognitive Science). A lot of GE requirements for Sixth College.

3) CAT Project -- I should upload the video that we did. It's entertaining.

4) LA BETE HUMAINE -- the book I had to read for this dreadful paper. I actually really like it. There's mystery, murder, love affairs, and suicide. Twisted. I like.

5) MAJOR -- I think I've settled on a major.. general biology. I'm thinking of becoming a dentist. That's a lot of school.. 4 years undergrad, 4 years dental school, and another 2 years if I want to be an orthodontist or some other specialist.

6) YOUNG LOVE -- my favorite band EVER. They performed at UCSD on the 29th, but I didn't go because I was sick.. I was so disappointed. What are the chances that my favorite band would play for FREE at my school?! =(

7) MY BRAIN -- slightly deteriorated, but still there. It'll be tough this weekend, trying to finish this paper, though. It's a lot to do. Not only do we have to read an entire book, La Bete Humaine, but we have to find a primary source document, and relate the paper to the readings we've done in class. GAH.

Man. Can't wait for Spring Break. I'm going to miss my schedule this quarter; I finished early and didn't have any classes on Thursdays. So good.
