Monday. 2.19.07 3:19 pm Ok so my office is closed today because of President's Day and I don't work on Mondays at my second job so I have a whole day off!!!! But of course this is not really a day off. I have bunches of things I wanted to get done but I narrowed it down to 20 things to accomplish. Not that you really care but here is what I plan to do today. 1. Do laundry 2. Clean & Vaccum 3. Clean my car 4. Shower 5. Work on that puzzle 6. Go Thrifting! 7. Go to Target 8. Go to Walmart 9. Go to Dick Blick 10. Go to Borders (I got a gift card from the second job) 11. Package and send presents 12. Check my oil 13. Go to Hancock Fabric 14. Call Joe 15. Call Amber 16. Exercise 17. Text Jackie 18. Wash car 19. Blog 20. Organize closet So far I am done with 2, 3, 4, 5, 12 (I really need to have it changed), and 17. Well know I am done with 19 as well I guess. Comment! (2) | Recommend! Sledding in a Chevy Saturday. 2.17.07 9:36 pm Yes folks that is right. I took my 2005 Chevy Cavalier sledding today. Not on purpose, duh! My house is at the top of a hill and it had snowed. Well at the bottom of the hill there is a stop sign. So I started to brake to stop at the stop sign and I started sliding. I kept sliding through the sign and then onto the main road. Luckily for some reason I thought to pump my brakes (I don't have ABS, but I didn't realize that until after all of this happened. Yes Gray I know that I have to make sure that my next car has ABS!) and I managed to have enough control over the direction that my car was going to keep it on the road until after I got past the guard rail then I slid into the ditch. Well the guy that was behind me, going the same direction that my car ended up going, stopped to make sure I was ok and told me that I had one fine guardian angel and then helped get my car out of the ditch. After I got a little down the road I pulled into the grocery store parking lot and called work to tell them I was going to be late, when the manager picked up and I started to tell her what had happened I started to cry. Well I finanlly made it to work and we were dead thanks to the weather. So it was a long day. Comment! (0) | Recommend! Valentines day! Thursday. 2.15.07 12:58 am Ok so my Valentines Day was cool! I went out with my friends. We went to an Albanian restaraunt and the food was delicious. We all laughed and joked and had a great time. Then I went back to my "dates" house, he wasn't my date. His car wouldn't start so I picked him up. Anyway that isn't the point. Five of us shared a bottle of champagne and about 3 hours of conversation. This was the first Valentine's Day in a while that I have been single and it was a lot of fun! I feel better about life in general right now! Comment! (0) | Recommend! Snow blows Tuesday. 2.13.07 10:43 pm Ok so I went into work today at 9 o'clock, aka my scheduled time. At 9:15 they started sending people home. WTF! It made me so mad. It took most of us longer to drive to work then the amount of time they made us stay. I actually ending up staying until 11:30 so I could get somethings done. Then it took me an hour and 30 minutes to get home! Anyway... I am on hold with cingular right now. They charged me somethings that I decided that I shouldn't have been charged for and well they actually took it off. Nice! Comment! (1) | Recommend! One more item done Tuesday. 2.13.07 2:04 am 15 down, 85 to go. Granted the list is going on the back burner until after I get school taken care of. But still coolness! I sold the engagment ring for $50! I put the money into my school fund. Woot! Comment! (1) | Recommend! | Categories: List [t] I need $30,000 by August 15th Saturday. 2.10.07 12:30 am OK so I got a call from my school today. They were informing me that I need to take my dosage calculations test soon because I should be starting the nursing program this fall if not then in the spring. I am so happy. I really want this but at the same time I can't afford it. I can deal with being without health insurance for two years. But I can't just not pay for my car or credit cards or tuition. So here is my plan. 1. Quit smoking -> Saves $360 in 6 months 2. Ask 29,640 people for $1 So um yeah... Can I have a dollar? Edit: I am only slightly serious about the above statement but if you really feel so generous I have a paypal or a PO box! Thanks... Comment! (7) | Recommend! I need more people like this in my life! Friday. 2.2.07 5:12 am the following is an excerpt from my sis in laws blog... so, i've decided that beth and i need to hang out a whole lot more. i didn't realize how extremely funny the woman is. her sense of humor is infectious, i laughed more last night than i have in an eternity. thanks beth! she has such a great perspective on life, optimistic and grounded, more mature than anyone i've ever known to be at her age. an old soul, energetic, invigorating, refreshing. we were teasing aunt gary about his terrible recall...how he called beth brittany and once when he brought his newest boytoy to the coffeehouse and introduced him to jacky and me, he pulled a blank and forgot my name altogether. the funny thing is, sometimes when beth and i are leaving work, she will say, tell kim i said hello!!! hahaha. God love her for loving my sister and for thinking so highly of me. Now if only I could find a man who feels this way about me... Nah I am actually pretty content with the single thing right now. Life is just so busy. Don't get me wrong still very attracted to men and the idea of being in love but it isn't as hard for me to put that on a back burner right now. And yes as I was so kindly reminded by one of my married friends I do realize that VDay is near and yes I realize that most of my girlfriends from highschool are engaged or married. But a few of them are divorced too. Leave me alone. As a matter of fact all of my married or engaged to be married friends are not allowed to talk to me on VDay or the day before or after, that includes you Amber... Comment! (2) | Recommend! What a week Thursday. 2.1.07 8:57 pm Ok so I went to work on Wednesday and I went home early because of the pain and general crappiness that I was feeling. So I came home and went to bed. I woke up at like 9:30 in extreme pain and running a fever. It was horrible. So I had to call the dentist and he wanted to see me first thing in the morning. I went and come to find out, I have an infection in the left lower. So they packed it and they want to see me in the morning to do the same thing. I can't work because of the pain so I have used up almost all of my sick time already. Man his sucks.... And I still can't smoke.... Comment! (2) | Recommend! |
