"People usually take me for younger than what I am, " she says after telling me that I look older than what I really was.
Elvia and I were sitting in the back of the bus. There was this guy with sunglasses who kept turning around to stare at us; his gaze only added to my nervousness. I tried to play it off, but I couldn't fight those damn butterflies, which is probably why I said the following words:
"That's because of the way you act." After an incredulous look on her part, I continued.
"Theres just something about you that puts people around you at ease. You make them comfortable." It was then that she turned to face me; one hand, probably the left, was pressed firmly against our seat cushion to provide enough leverage for her turn. I was met with my own reflection when I turned my head to look at her, so I looked forward again. That guy was still glancing back at us when she spoke again, still watching me.
"Do I make you comfortable?'
"Your eyes do. When I look into them... they make me comfortable," I think I saw the guy who was watching us smirk a little, so I turned to look at her. "That's why I hate it when you wear sunglasses. I can't see your eyes."
She took them off. Then glanced over at the guy who was watching us, and...
I forgot what happened next. This was a week ago, and alot has happened since then.
