UGH...to...YAY!..???

This will be short and sweet. Been incredibly ill the past three-four days and made things more difficult by missing more days of work. It makes me feel just that much more worse. I am still pretty far from 100%. I have a fever yet again. But I was in really, really, really bad shape the past three days.

But my main purpose for this was to post about my game before it starts tonight at 8pm. My Eagles take on the Saints in New Orleans. They met once in the regular season (they do not play eachother often at all) this year and the Saints won with a field goal at the end of regulation. But that was an Eagles team that was on a downward slide and they've solidified a lot of the weaknesses that they'd had at that point. Alls I can say is that I've gotten tired of people saying that the Saints should win the Superbowl because of the ravages of Hurricane Katrina. I don't believe that. They're calling the Eagles "evil" whenever they, in passing, mention the Eagles winning. It's a sporting challenge. Nothing should just be handed to you. And the Lombardi trophy would mean nothing if all teams just rolled over to let the Saints win.

I am in no way trying to downplay the seriousness of the Hurricane and I still feel for everyone affected. But it's kinda like what they say when someone in Tornado Alley has their trailer sucked up off the ground. Geographically, the city is a bowl...below sea level. In an area where Hurricanes come close to hitting every year.

Anyway...next up is the Colts - Ravens game which should be a furious game and be fun to watch. And then is the Eagles - Saints game. And then later tonight Jake Gyllenhall is on SNL. If I can stay awake long enough. May take a short nap after the Eagles game and get up for SNL. Enjoy the rest of your day/night!!

One for the ages!

So the Eagles made me proud again! A last second field goal by David Akers won the game to move on to the Division Playoff game against the Saints in New Orleans. If we win that, we will either play the Bears in Chicago or the Seattle Seahawks here in Philadelphia. I was reading in the news about something that smelled like natural gas being smelled all over NYC. I said that it was the smell of their Giants returning from Philadelphia! I'm funny.

Today we have a division meeting in my store. It's the monthly meeting which takes place in a different store each month and this time it's my store. From what I hear it may be only my Division Manager and one other rep aside from myself. And we're supposed to have reps from two different companies that we represent in the store where they usually just give us more information on their company and reinforce anything that they need us to know. They also tend to critique how their stuff looks in the store where we are meeting so that could be interesting for me. We used to be able to leave to go back to our own stores after meetings were over but now we're beaconed into that store for the entire shift which doesn't matter to me since it's my store...it just means that whomever is at the meeting will be staying there all day. I hope that we'll work on special project like we did last month because it'd help me get some of my projects done for the month. I am attempting..and should succeed in...getting to work about an hour + earlier than I usually do so I can get out of there ealier and not have to spend the extra time with my DM because she should be getting there about an hour after I intend to be there.

I think that's it already. Not much of anything interesting occured...just hoping that I make it through today with what's left of my sanity intact. Wish me luck on that one.

Have a great day.
Over. Out.
