Snow Watch 1.0
Tuesday, February 13, 2007
So they're planning snow for our area. FINALLY! I am not into a ton of snow in a given year but I don't like for a year to go by without any accumulation at all. And to this point we've had barely dustings. Now I will admit that I believe that a lot of people are blowing this one out of proportion. Our building manager wants us to park our cars in a lot on the other side of the complex, wait for them to plow, and then quickly move our cars to the newly plowed spots in front of our buildings. Right.... I'm not. And so many people prattle on about it. So far it sounds like we're looking at a little over two inches. Which to me is nothing at all. It's barely enough to bother driving through it for fun!! But it's supposed to start in about 3 or 4 hours at lest check and is supposed to last until early Wednesday morning. It's hard to believe that we'd be looking at only 2 inches for about 24 hours worth of snowingness. The bonus for me has got to be that I am supposed to drive to and from work during the 'heavier' times. Wooo!

It seems as if someone has gotten a hold of atleast my bank card info if not my account info as well. I am seriously overdrawn and the printout that I had the on-duty Account Manager made for me shows atleast 6 purchases that I would never make. For example: several months prepaid of Yahoo Business Mail at $19.99/month and AOL service at $14.99/month. Okay. I use ONLY the free, basic Yahoo mail service. I own four domain names and each has as much e-mail capacity and e-mail features I could ever need. Which cancels out every needing Yahoo Business Mail. And why on God's Green Earth would I pay for AOL when I have cable Internet access already? And even if I paid for a dialup service, it certainly wouldn't be AOL. So tomorrow I am calling my bank's 1-800 number to atleast have a freeze put on the account. My entire first paycheck from the new job JUST barely paid off what I was in the whole as far as my account goes. So it should be on the positive side tomorrow and I will have them freeze the account or I will close the account and have them cancel the holds for payments over the negative $120 limit they seem to have placed on my card's usage. And then I will go about getting my money back from these companies. Or atleast give me the login information I need to use both. If I am forced to pay for it, I sure as hell had better be able to use it.

There's other stuff going on but the stuff already mentioned has me at a mental roadblock and I am sure that there is nothing of dire interest remaining. But I will return tomorrow and see what's new! Goodnight.

That although it will probably be only a few cents, I am going to make money mentioning dog excrement in a blog! I spent just under 30 minutes with Mowgli outside for him to do his stuff. I had the plastic bag in my right coat pocket for when he was done. And what was worse than standing around outside in the cold while an indecisive puppy runs back and forth a couple hundred times before picking a random spot anyway to do his thing...are the upstairs neighbors with a bigger Lab that never, and I repeat NEVER, pick up after thier dog. It looks like a minefield out of a canine combat movie. I am really hoping that they get caught becase A) I am pretty sure that the $500 (or was it $300?) fine will teach them to pick up after their dog and B) it'd be nice to walk over to the store without playing GI Me and dodging the mines.

After work took Jenn ( invisibleinklin ) to the hospital to get x-rays. Pneumonia...but was sent home with meds and a prescription for over priced meds (but then again which aren't over priced?) and a regimen to take them for maximum effectiveness. It wasn't that bad but I was so tired that I was dozing and I hate doing that in public..especially in a very quiet waiting room and I hadn't had anything to eat in 12 hours. But after they let her go we went straight to Taco Bell and as starving as I was, I was filled up completely by a Grilled Stuft (that's how THEY spell it!!) Burrito. But it was delishious!! (Just wanted to continue the off-spelling in relation to Taco Bell)

Ooooh! I know what you need! A picture from the Philadelphia International Car Show from the other night! I had Jenn take a couple pictures that I wanted. She had already shot the cars that i wanted pictures of so I had her take pictures of things that touched upon my sense of humor. I don't know why they did exactly. Maybe you'll let me know. But here's number one and it's called "VagCom".

I'm thinking that VagCom is some kind of communications service tailored specially for women. Of course I haven't bothered visiting the URL below the awesome word to find out what it actually is. But I am sure what's in my mind is atleast mildly more amusing than the real explanation.

Well when Chad gets home shortly I gotta run us to two banks. I got my first pay check from this stint at Hess which is awesome. It'll get me as much gas as I'll need and to put some money into the rent/car insurance checking account. And then it's back home to do a little more work online (got A LOT accomplished last night!!!) before I shower and head out for work.

Have a great day and an awesome start to the weekend! Hopefully tonight at work I find out how much of a "weekend" I have haha G'Day!
