Thurs... what made my day...
Friday. 2.2.07 6:53 am
* being able to have a short chat with reb about finding the purpose in life

* being able to tidy up 4/2 classroom so that it will hopefully inspire them to tidy up their own lives too and also not to get a 'D' for cleanliness check again

* walking past 4/1 and seeing it spick and span without my nagging. I am so proud of them for putting in the effort!

* being able to have a nice long chat with Bo about forgiveness, the importance of seeking God above all things, the purpose that God has for us, the argentina prison that had a revival (can you imagine a prison with no bars and locks, just colourful curtains, guards and inmates praying together and inmates sharing the word of God to relatives who visit them, amazing!), the evidence in creation that strongly leads to the existence of God and why man choose to believe in evolution though it is so unbelievable... If man can disproves the existence of God, then he does not need to be accountable for anything he does in his life... he can commit all the sins that he wants and live a wanton life since it does not matter at the end of the day!

Wed... what made my day...
Friday. 2.2.07 6:19 am
* giving 4/2 the privilege to have breakfast during the first period of my physix lessons. It was a reward for them because they did really well for class test 1 (MSG: 1.3, 40 out of 42 students obtained a distinction, they topped the 3 classes that i taught)

* sharing with 4/4 about the origin of energy (explaining why creation makes more sense than evolution, why having a Designer sounds more reasonable than believing that everything (including us) came about through random processes). When you look at a Boeing 747 which has 5 million components that does not fly on their own, what sounds more logical? that it was designed and built by a team of engineers and mechanics or it was randomly formed and fitted together by a random gush of wind? The bible says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. Those who study human anatomy would agree to that!

* being able to doing some batting and fielding with the softballers. seeing the ball take flight is really amazing!

* being able to have a heart to heart talk with my wife and establishing an even stronger marriage!

Tues... what made my day...
Wednesday. 1.31.07 7:33 pm
* being able to realise that forgiveness can not be earned. it can only be given freely by God and from me to others as a gift. feeling guilty all the time and trying to make up by punishing yourself to live a miserable life will not earn forgiveness from God or others. If God only gives according to what we do or deserve, then we would all deserved nothing more than burning in hell for all our wrongdoings or unrighteousness! But praise be to God for His grace and mercy, in that, we can sincerely repent and ask God for forgiveness and He will just grant it to us because He is loving enough to do so and nothing else! Having received that forgiveness, we can then ask the person we have offended for forgiveness. and not forgetting, we need to forgive ourselves for our wrongdoings and let it go. Having done that, even if the person still refuse to forgive, your conscience is clear before God. Bearing grudges or unforgiveness will only bring torment to yourself. It will not make things better. Forgiving is the only way out! It's only when we experience forgiveness from God for our sins can we truly be able to forgive others of all the offenses committed against us. Are you able to forgive a person who backstabs you and accuse you and rob you of your ideas and claim it as his/her own? Are you able to forgive a person who killed your loved ones? Are you able to forgive your spouse if he/she becomes unfaithful? Are you able to forgive a person who set you up and cause you to lose your job and family? Sounds impossible isnt it? However, with God, all things are possible!

Mon... what made my day...
Monday. 1.29.07 10:42 am
* being able to wake up earlier and spend some time to draw near to God
(God does not only want people to turn back to Him but He wants the people who are gained by Him to change the systems (e.g. schools, prison, companies, industries, factories, businesses) in this world so mightily that people who are working or learning or living in such places will run these places God's way and be a blessing to others. Ever heard of a prison that does not have locks or guards? when relatives come to visit the inmates, they actually share with them about the Bible? and the return rate of inmates coming back to prison (they committing another crime) when they are released is less than 1% (as compared to other prisons which is about 80%)? all these really happened in Argentina when a Christian pastor started to preach and converted the Mafia who managed that prison!)

* being able to see 4/3 doing well for their SPA

* being able to share with 4/4 about the principle of conservation of energy and how it links to the fact that there has to be a Designer (God!) who created and sustained the total energy in this universe so that life can be possible

* being able to share with 4/1 about integrity from my own personal experience and clarify some misunderstandings that may have happened last year. At the end of the day, my conscience is clear (i can sleep soundly each night) since I am accountable to God for all things even when no one is watching and I mean what I say

* the time i spent answering physix questions raised by z.q and c.g

* the time i spent with jas, aaron, l.w, c.p and step outside KFC, talking about the "severe disease" that aaron is suffering from and persuading jas to stay!

* being able to bring my 3 kids single-handed for Christian's wushu class in the evening and enjoying their company

* being able to read an extensive section of the book i am reading currently

* being able to fall alseep right away after i finish this last sentence! good night! :D

Sun... what made my day...
Sunday. 1.28.07 11:28 pm
* being able to be early for my church meeting this morning

* being able to take up the courage to preach on the pulpit through God's grace and receiving positive feedback and response from the people
(shared about the authority and authenticity of the Bible. the fact that nothing really belongs to us while we are living in this world. what we possess (e.g. time, money, energy, children) is given by God for us to manage and be accountable to Him at the end of the day. therefore, we should be contented with whatever we have and not be longing for more or be envious of others. we should be spending our lives pursuing something that will last and not things (e.g. money) that we can not bring with us to the grave. If we set our priorities right (seeking God as our top priority), then our basic needs will definitely be taken care of by Him.

* being able to attend the enbloc sale meeting of the condo i am staying and understanding all the terms and implications involved. conclusion: we are not selling our apartment even @ $1.4 million (we bought it @ $750K). we are thankful to God for this wonderful and spacious environment that our children can grow up in and i believe many of the residents have the same sentiments as us too :D

* being able to play street soccer for 2.5 hours without really feeling tired. Thankful to God for making me a left footer even though i am a right hander! it makes it hard for the right footers to stop me when i strike!

* being able to enjoy the porridge of my mother-in-law and the soup of my mother for dinner

* being able to sleep early and happy to go back to work on Mon!
