Survived! Success!
Friday, February 2, 2007
So I nade it through day two. It was entirely different from day one. I had to make, cook, cut and box pizzas and take care of other assorted foods. i was told that were I to do well with that new section of the store and want to work more hours..I could get them there. May take them up on the offer for those reasons. But I will definitely do it anyway because it was more fun. I had to wash a ton of pizza pans towards the end of the night, and I think that they would have weighed about that much if I'd piled them all up on a truck scale, but I got through that as well!

My legs hurt. But not nearly to the extent that they were. I greatly appreciate all comments left last night about how they felt at the time that I posted. But it wasn't merely from standing. Just two weeks ago I was spending 9 hours + each day walking around and lifting very heavy boxes on solid concrete every day and never had much leg pain from it. However..this happens. i do believe that it's part of another leftover symptom that I have from having had Lyme Disease way back when. So hopefully whatever cycle it happens to be in, it'll stop hurting my legs sometime soon.

I am not sure which day I work again. I left a note for my boss to call me and let me know. But chances are I'll end up having to call in. As far as I know they weren't going to have me work again until Sunday 2-10pm. it's a good thing that the Eagles aren't in the Super Bowl i guess..i don't have to miss 'em playing it whilst I am at work.

Well we managed to get some public assistance! It kicks in tomorrow. We may be eligible only this month. Maybe next month. But now that I have this job (since it seems imminent that I will be working plenty of hours) that will pretty much knock us out of whatever bracket we have to be in to get any assistance. But for however long it lasts we are very, very appreciative.

I just realized that I haven't checked my personal E-mail account on my band's server (domain name) in quite some time. And due to the junkmail that I somehow receive on a daily basis...after about 5 days of not deleting junkmail...there will probably be about 900+ messages. The accounst seems to average around 200+ junk e-mails per day. I am about 10 seconds away from deleting the entire account and letting the junkmail bounce back to the spammers whose e-mails somehow make it past my extensive spam protection. But every time I think about doing it (which always occurs after deleting my 12th entire page of spam messages), I keep getting a guilty feeling that the next E-mail to me may actually belong in my inbox and could be important somehow and boy would I be glad if I saw it knowing that I came just THAT close to never getting it. That's not going to happen. I fully believe that the account will cease to exist in a few days. Especially if i do not check in and delete all the junkmail before then.

Okay...this has gone well past the, "This isn't too long and I can comfortably read this in a decent amount of time without too much trouble" point and is definitely encroaching upon, "Jesus, guy, shut the hell up and go to bed!".

And with that...I think I will.
Goodnight to all ye children of god.

Day One: A Survival Guide
Thursday, February 1, 2007
This is part One to the grand survival guide. My legs are killing me. They hurt pretty dadly nearly my entire shift. Chad relieved me on time which is very, very good. But I am exhausted and my legs, again, are killing me to no end. Right now I can only imagine how gloriously Heavenly it will feel to lay down. While I am sure that I will pass out pretty quickly after my head hits the pillow, I hope that I have atleast 2 minutes to enjoy how it feels to be laying down.

Made it through the day and did not kill anyone. Nor did I really get to the point where I wanted to kill someone which is atleat one entire step up from my previous job.

Now to make it through tomorrow. I am writing a short mental note to myself to take my Aleve INTO the store and not leave it out in my car. I thought it would be fine because I'd get a break or something if I needed it. Never got a break. Didn't eat and was too busy to run to my care for even 1.5 seconds to get the Aleve to help my ailing back and legs.

But anyway.

Tomorrow morning...oh hell...later this morning we're going down to an office in Norristown to see about getting energy assistance (they help us pay for our heat for our apartment) and maybe even foodstamps which would help us save money which could then go towards rent and other stuff that's vital to our survival! Wish us luck. It would be very good if something like this went in our favor.

I was going to mention the impending snow tomorrow night/friday morning but I am so exhausted that even though there are atleast hundreds of little letters and atleast a hundred words (oh for the love of god, don't count in an attempt to prove me wrong because I'm guessing anyways!), they're all constantly tightening in and all letters melt to the center of the page until I have one hell of a big blob in the middle of the screen where intelligible words once stood. But I'll get back to this stuff.

But for now I bid you a good night and hope that you sleep the sleep of the damned.....no...dead. Goodnight.
