I'm spending less and less time in my apartment because of my disdain for my roommate, Alex. I'm trying real hard to not hate him.. to not not like him, too. He's making it hard for me, though. He's creepy. I'm still convinced that he eats children. There's just something about him that is off-putting...like a ventriloquist without a puppet.
Since I came back from Denver, I wake up at 6 or 7 AM and leave my apartment at either 8 or 9 AM, and I come home at around 10 or 11 PM. Most days, my first class doesn't start until 4 PM, so I either study in the library or go to work ( I'm a tutor ) early. Friday nights consists of attending basketball games or lying on Tina's couch for a few hours before she goes out to drink. ( She usually leaves for bars at 10 or 11, which is my bedtime anyway.) Saturdays consists of volunteering at the Rape Crisis Center or calculating planetary alignment like the Mayan Indians.
What?
Anyway...
Sundays are the best. I go to church at around 8:30, come back at around 10:30, then leave for my favorite Sports bar with a roomie who I'm fond of,
I'm a bit torn about what I should do over the next two years. I could
A) Go to Washington DC in the fall of 2008 and intern somewhere( US Attorney's office, Supreme Court, some Texan senator. ), and then go to Austin in the Spring and earn 2,000 a month to intern with a congressman/woman there.
I don't want to do A for two reasons: My little sister's birthday is in October and I never miss it. If I'm in DC, I'd have to find a plane to take me from there to Texas... Also, I really want to go to DC in the Spring, when the new president is sworn in.
OR
B) Go to DC in Spring of 09, and then Austin in Spring of 2010. I'd like to do this, but I'm set to graduate in 2010... I'd hate to miss graduation.
I dunno. I'll pray about it and figure it out soon.
