Weeks ago, i visited Kinokuniya bookstore at KLCC with Renaye because i told her i wanted to grab some books for my Japanese learning, since i been learning audio, it is time for me to have some contact with text to improve my reading.

She was telling me she used a textbook during her college year and recommended Minna no Nihongo, ISBN: 9784883191024 to extend my learning.

It is very easy to learn book which come with A textbook(japanese text) and grammar book (in english) [i am stupid enough not to buy the grammar book]. And if you have self disciplines, i think you will finish it in no time and learn the basic of it.

But of course before you start learning, it is very important to learn "kana" since the book all written in Japanese text.

It almost 6 months i self learned Japanese Language, to me is a great achievement to my brain because ever since i graduated from the lousy university (full of politics and biases) i was in the depression mode for almost 2 years and a half, i show no interest in anything and everything and everyone, i just trying to avoid social activities except virtually.

Ever since working for my parents, my depression went from bad to disaster (due to some reason i cant describe how bad it went) and my brain simply dont function at all. I was living in a dead vassel without a soul, like a moving puppet without a soul simply controlled by the master.

A simple mathematic question i hardly solved. As in 56-34 =? will took me minutes to calculate, and ended up i seek the help of the calculator.

On the April, things changed, more labor work involved as our old workers went back to Indonesia, and new workers came in. We needed to train them, until the point i just have nerves breakdown and refused to go home, i rather stayed up till 6pm + before going home. This was when i started language learning.

It was a difficult start as my brain didnt work for 2 years... and sooner my brain started to be alive again. simple mathetic no longer a problem for me and i feel so much alive compared to the last 2 years.

Not only Japanese Language I planned to learn, but Spanish too, but Spanish word order and Japanese order r different, and the pronounciation of "R".

I get to know a senior over the virtual world, and he thought me alot of things that indirectly become the motivation drive... because i simply wanted to be like him, because he is so smart !

The conclusion is.... never stop learning, because once u stop learning, lots of things u will loose out.

Do u ever cried over a lyric? This is the only song that i cried over the lyric... it is so touching and so meaningful, but it make more sense if you watch the movie 1st ~ Cape no 7.

This movie alone is very funny, and very meaningful... is a mixture of languages, of Mandarin, Hokkien (dialect) and Japanese.

Whats more interesting is the director of the movie Wei Te-Sheng where he have to refinance his home and into debts in order to produce this beautiful piece of movie which grossed 2nd top film in the country's cinematic history, behind Titanic.

And the mode of promoting this movie was WORD OF MOUTH :D

P.S: Suitable for those who dont want to watch the movie...

The movie setting was at a Taiwan small town, where a ex band singer came back after attempt at the town fail (i think), and obtained a part timer job as a Postman. There was a package that address to "non receiver add" which was suppose to return it to the sender at Japan. (a bit of history, Japan once occupied the land of Taiwan which is why alot of older generation Taiwanese speak Japanese... they called their mother Okasan mean mother).

But this postman instead of returning it to the sender at Japan, he opened the package. Inside of the package consist of 7 love letters by a Japanese teacher to his Taiwanese lover who was separated when the war end where the Japanese have to go back to Japan.

the 7 letters consist of his journey on board as well as the memories they have together. In the movie, the lead actor, read the letter one by one in different part of the movie with the voice over by Kousuke Atari (who acted as the Japanese teacher and Himself as guest of a concert)

One day the lead actress found out about the letters and urge lead actor to send to the recipient without any clues.... but of course happy ending always awaits this kind of movie.

The last scene of the movie where the Taiwanese lover saw the letters make me burst into tears.... it was so TOUCHING!

Im bad with actors and actress name, and i hardly know any Taiwanese actors or actresses....

Did some shopping on my last visit to KLCC Kinokuniya.. so far these r my reading books n workbook. It cost a fortune tho.. but im happy w my progress...
